Dr. Farid is an incredible doctor. My husband and I are both in the medical field and we were…read morereferred to him by several of our medical friends when we had children. My children have been patients of his for several years now. Our experience has been consistently excellent under the care of Dr. Farid and his staff. Dr. Farid actually listens to parent's concerns. He has always taken any worries that I have had for my children's health seriously. He has never dismissed me or made me feel invalidated. He always aligns himself with my concerns and tests my children thoroughly for any issues that we have had. One child, in particular, has had very complicated health issues and I have been dismissed and gaslighted by many very incompetent and negligent doctors that were considered specialists! Dr. Farid is one of the very few who actually cared, listened and tested my daughter for concerns expressed. He was so thorough in the tests and blood work that he ordered, that my daughter's endocrinologist expressed how impressed he was with Dr. Farid and his intelligence. He stated that in his 25 years of working in endocrinology with patients that he had only seen one other pediatrician order the tests correctly as Dr. Farid had! 99% of the time the labs are not ordered correctly or thoroughly enough. This endocrinologist assured me that Dr. Farid was FAR SUPERIOR to other pediatricians and it reaffirmed that my child was getting the best care as his patient. In this situation, it was Dr. Farid who discovered my daughter's issue and diagnosed her! He was able to actually figure out what was going on with her when so many other Specialists could not. If it hadn't been for Dr. Farid, my daughter would have been stuck suffering. Dr. Farid is a gift to BREVARD county. I am so thankful to him and his staff. You can rest assured your child will get the BEST care as his patient! I refer all of our friends and their children to him. You, as a parent, will be listened to. Your child, as a patient, will be cared for with incredible compassion and excellence! I give Dr. Farid my highest recommendation and consider him to be one of our family's greatest blessings.

There are a lot of things I could say about Nemours on Malabar road. My son went there for 2.5…read moreyears since he was born. The actual doctors/providers were pretty good. Alison Byrd I'd recommend 5 stars as well as Debra Santaserio. The other nurse practitioner was pretty good as well. I even liked the medical assistants. However the scheduling was the worst. They scheduled my son's 1 year appointment on Black Friday 6 months in advance and then called me a week before to say it was cancelled because the doctor was going on vacation. There are at least 2 other providers he could have seen. Another time they cancelled another appointment on a Friday afternoon when the appointment was on Monday morning saying the provider didn't work on Mondays anymore. Again it was scheduled 6 months in advance and there were other providers he could have seen. These messages were left on his father's voicemail when they had my phone number to call. Once my son needed a COVID test to return to daycare, because both parents had COVID and after the waiting period when we tried to get him tested we were told to bring him to an urgent care because they were low on testing supplies and only testing kids that had symptoms. I also was only able to get in for sick appointments the same day once in the time he went there. They referred my son for speech therapy but their doctors are in Orlando. I got a vaccination certificate for daycare that did not have an expiration date and was not signed so I had to take it back to them. My son was about 6 months at the time so I didn't think to check the expiration date. I also have a friend with a son who just turned 1 and they scheduled his 1 year appointment a month from now because they are booked, but he needs vaccinations and a certificate for daycare. From what she has told me they never referred her to another doctor or offered to call her if they had a cancellation. She's been calling to reschedule with them since Friday and they don't answer the phone when she calls or respond to her voicemails. When I called one to get a copy of my son's vaccinations/medical records I was told I could pick them up in a week and that they couldn't email them. Could they not encrypt an email? After the last cancellation I decided to get a new doctor especially because I specifically took time off work for the appointments and they couldn't give me more than a days notice to reschedule. If I had done that to them they probably would have changed me a cancellation fee. Overall I say Nemours has nice doctors but their scheduling department sucks. The front office people are usually very nice but if they are so overworked and understaffed they should stop accepting new patients or create a waiting list. So glad I decided to switch doctors offices. The new office seems pretty nice although I've only been to one appointment so far. I'd stay away from Nemours on Malabar unless you are a stay at home mom who doesn't mind constantly changing appointments

To prepare for my son's follow-up visit, I took time off from work on several occasions to visit specialists and have my son evaluated for ADHD. I faxed several pages of reports to the pediatrician's office weeks prior to my appointment (which I also took time off for) and Dr. McLeod never even read the reports prior to our follow-up visit 2 days ago. The clerical staff didn't even have my son's name correct in the database! Although I remained calm and professional during the visit, I feel very disrespected and and invalidated by the incompetence and apathy of this staff. I did everything they asked me to do with gathering evaluation data on my son's behalf, yet I was told by Dr. McLeod that the psychologist's report was "not comprehensive." I believe she profiled me due to the type of insurance I have. In the end, after 20 minutes of deliberation, she finally did write a script for medication, but I can't even get it filled because it's cost-prohibitive for my pharmacy. My advice to anyone using this pediatric outfit is to take notes on everything ANYONE tells you and get their names. Their protocols are arbitrary, and likely untruthful, as this is a classic case of the tail wagging the dog in an office environment where the employees do not take pride in their work.

Great place! Love the people. They always know how to help me and answer all of my questions.read more
