I had followed Ellie since 2007 and received a reading in 2017. I was extremely excited to meet her and see what she had to say about my life. Instead I was bombarded by insults while my husband (who was with me, but was not the paying client) got more positive attention while I just waited for her to get back to my reading. She commented on my weight, saying that I would lose it eventually (I wasn't concerned with my weight) and then she commented on the state of my fingernails. They are short and I do bite them when I'm nervous (a habit I am doing my best to get rid of because I understand how gross it is). She said I should start fixing them up. I felt super uncomfortable and self-conscious after that. When she was reading my palm, she said I was not meant to be a teacher (I was a teacher at the time and loved it), and then expressed interest in wanting to write a book (she said that I wasn't going to be writer either). She said I'd likely end up making jewelry (which was absurd because I've never even considered making anything like that. Fast forward to 2024: I make polymer clay jewelry. So she was right about that. Overall, however, she was not a pleasant person to be around. She was very self-involved, ego-driven and made comments that were belittling. TWO WORDS: JUST DON'T!!! i am MORTIFIED that i just gave this woman not only my money, but also information about people i care about. first of all, any real psychic should NEVER ASK YOU QUESTIONS during a reading. before you even have your reading she will have you send pics of yourself and anyone you want included in the reading, like friends or family members or pets. she says this is to focus on during the reading, ok, fair enough, i know other people who can read people via pictures, but there's a reason *she* does this... when she checks you on social media, AND SHE WILL, she will also check everyone else you've included and she has their pics and first names to cross reference!!! please believe this is exactly what she did with me. she knew very little about ME (my profiles are all locked down and completely private), but people who i included had more public info in their profiles and that's where she got all the info from that she used in the reading. she figured out my entire immediate family tree this way, pretended she had connected with deceased family members and trust me, it's NOT because she's psychic nor a medium (she used info from their obituaries),!!! she will play dumb-ish as if she knows the name of something but pretends she only knows the first letter. she knows exactly what it is because SHE'S LOOKING AT IT ONLINE WHILE SHE'S TALKING TO YOU she's just trying not to be too obvious. THIS IS WHY SHE WON'T DO ZOOM!!! she asked me the name of another person in my family and once i gave it to her, she "suddenly" knew all about this person (all things posted in their ABOUT section on the socials). she will also ask you for your birthday, she says it's for numerology reasons, but that was NEVER TOUCHED ON in our reading, so she's trying to get as much out of you as she can when you speak with her to book the reading so that she has time to do the research on you and make sure you're the person she's finding online. then during the reading she will also sneak in little ways to learn even more details about you. this hit me like a freight train as soon as i hung up with her!!!! she even described the inside of my house BECAUSE SHE LOOKED IT UP ON ZILLOW (she gets your address when you book on paypal via credit card). i'm not kidding. save yourselves. i have no idea what else she'll do with this info, but if stuff starts going weird with anything in my life, with my finances or with the people in my life, i'll know exactly who's behind it and can report it appropriately to the authorities!!! No words to describe how negative this experience was. Some people are able to read thoughts (telepathy is quite common anyway), while having personal insight mixed with deceptive lifework and half-spiritual truths, and this makes their appeal more powerful than it actually is. Most importantly, from an ethical standpoint, one should refrain from fat-shaming her client while attempting to give "spiritual advice". I was disrespected on many levels, lied to and that's the main point. She was absolutely incorrect in many aspects and this was validated by other truly powerful and loving healers. I grew up in the area and have wanted to see Ellie ever since I first got internet access in the mid-late 90s. Her website was one of the first I encountered and I regularly referenced it throughout the years, up to the present day. I have seen other psychics and astrologers in the past, but as my life went topsy-turvy recently I again came across Ellie's site and decided to finally make an appointment. The experience was beyond disappointing after looking up to her for about 15 years. It was borderline traumatizing, actually. Upon entering her home she immediately began spouting off about my profession (she was correct). I sat down and as she shuffled her deck, she asked me to pull up some of my work on her iPad, so she could print it out and get some vibes from it. Since I don't have a website, I googled my name for images. In doing this, I saw that my LinkedIn page was in her browser history. So thaaaat's how she guessed my profession immediately upon my entering! The best part of that is, that later in the reading she felt like I may have studied in Europe, and possibly dabbled in another trade, and named several former employers. All of this info is of course on my LinkedIn page, so this section of the reading was pretty boring and irrelevant to me. She did a thorough palm reading (inking my palm and pressing it on a Manila folder) which was the most accurate part of the reading by far. She pointed out the lines and wrote notes on what she saw, which was cool. She told me she doesn't believe in astrology. More than half of my reading was concerning a parent, which was alright by me, as I was interested in hearing what she saw for the person. But she has a very condescending tone. I asked her about the possibilities of this person moving, and she immediately shot it down saying "where would they go?" Almost incredulously, and adding "They can't afford California" (this is absolutely not true!). As for me, when I asked questions about me moving, she said the same sort of thing. Basically she said that, I'm from here. Where else on earth would I go? Throughout the reading she expressed disgust at my hair, and told me I would never meet a man until I cut it. Also peppered throughout the reading was her wish that I should lose 20 lbs. which I found extremely annoying, uncomfortable, and insulting. At the end of the reading, she actually asked if she could try on my jacket. When it was too tight, she said to me "this jacket doesn't close. Why doesn't it close on me? You're bigger than me!" I have this all on audio. After a few weeks of growing to like myself again after being bashed during this reading, I decided to listen to my recording of it to take some notes. It was like reliving a nightmare. She seriously bullied me! I also found her to be pretty racist. The information given to me by this woman was distorted and abrasive. I don't care if you're from NY or Montana, delivering "truth" to people is an art form and I did not find that here. By the way truth is relative, and anytime someone delivers their truth, or puts their spin on yours, throw it out. For someone with a psychiatric background, I expected her to meet me where I am. She didn't. I felt hopeless and insulted for who I am and the path I've chosen, like I've had no accomplishments, thinking I could have spent that $180 on something other than the critical reading I got. There were some poignant things to consider, but overall, like the last review, my experience was borderline traumatizing. I definitely do not feel uplifted and encouraged by the experience. My head hurt the next day after this reading and I did not appreciate someone being anything less than delicate with my private information. When we walk into someone's house or church or bedroom or store or museum we take care to respect what's there. Yes sometimes the "truth" hurts, but we must balance what we deliver with upliftment and gentleness, with as much positivity as possible. Earth is shitty enough sometimes. We can be firm if needed but not condescending. Again, an art form. When you have a gift you use it to help a person where they are. This woman spoke AT me for an hour, and most things were just off. She doesn't know the beauty in my life, how far I've come or the appreciation I've received from others. Anything that makes you feel less than the amazing person that you are is not worth your time. Wow! What a horrid experience. She was rude and went off on tangents most of the time. The reading took 3 hours with only 20 minutes dedicated to me. It felt like a bad dream. When we did focus on me, she did not hit on things correctly. She asks too many questions as if she was feeding off what I would say in order to make her own comments. A total waste of money.
