I had high hope for Elliotts to handle my estate sale but I feel very let down. Justin called me the second day and felt there was not enough left to stay open a third day, I said ok. When I went the next day I was totally surprised he did not sell any of my furniture!!! I had also ask they hold some of my windup toys I had as a child. They did and they charged me $15.00 a piece for .50 toys. A total of $300.00!! BEWARE they are unethical and take advantage. I also did not receive any accounting of items sold just a total. My parents worked with this man when they sold their home after retiring, and the way he treated my parents was not at all right. He spoke to them like they were uneducated and poor. My parents had a friend that wanted to use this service and my parents advised them to go elsewhere. read more

Justin Elliot and his staff are unprofessional and most likely will not communicate with you. My 86 year old Mothers house was trashed and he and his staff made neighbors and friends uncomfortable. He allowed customers to dump out dirt, clothing ect all over her house. He will not communicate with us and we have not received any money and have no idea how much he made. He pretended to want to help my Mother who lost her husband to COVID and needed to move. Stay away from him! read more

Losing a loved one is difficult enough let alone having to sell their possessions with this company you can assuredly add the stress of rudeness, carelessness, poor service and AFTER the auction be very aware of false charges , additional expenses etc.. I only gave one star so I could offer a review. I would never use this business: they take advantage of individuals and of the one church they worked with. Entirely unprofessional- does not keep detailed records or receipts for each purchase; has no way of offering an accurate accounting when asked; overcharges and operates under shady business practices at best. Is nasty about his clientele in videos and inappropriate. He was hateful to members of a church sale he recently managed; unprofessional and undersold or didn't sell items so he could collect profit at the very end from the church. Not only did he underprice items, there were many items he didn't sell so that he could add to that profit. He was unprofessional and nasty to staff of the church and members of the church. This was by far the worst set up I've seen. The staff was extremely rude, the merchandise was in boxes like a bad garage sale. When we reported this to ELLIOTT Estate they basically said this isn't Walmart we run our business the way we want. I wouldn't trust them with my precious family's treasures. I haven't attended one of Elliott's Estate Sales, but I watched them public ally shame someone on her own Facebook post when she shared a negative experience she had with them. I feel every customer is entitled to their own opinion. As a business even if you don't feel it's true, you should apologize and try to learn from it. Not bash the consumer. So I have nothing to say regarding the services the provide, but I can review the character and behavior of the staff and I think if you're considering hiring them to care for your loved ones possessions you should know they don't appear to be nice, upstanding people read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! The owner is extremely rude, they have poor cash handling procedures and do not issues receipts. Any company that has to add to their contract a $500 charge for slander / libel occurrences is a joke and is not motivated by customer satisfaction. They do not account for all sales and is why they are currently being sued in Grady County. If you choose to use them, read read and re-read the contract and record all conversations in-person for proof of the lies they tell their clients. Okay, so here's my deal: I've been in an Estate Liquidator family in Duncan, OK for my entire existence (not a direct competitor). I've easily been involved in over 100 sales. Here are my observations after being to a couple of Elliott's Estate Sales: Minimum organization, no cleaning, staff isn't friendly or helpful, prices are crazy out of balance, last hour is run like a cattle call and then the doors are shut forever. Elliott's has the social media/web presence game won in OKC and they also go to lengths to present a professional appearance at their sales (signage, uniforms, law enforcement). This is half the battle. However, I think they say yes to every sale but choose their level of involvement (adherence to their policies) based on the quality of the merchandise/profit potential to the company. Let's look at some of their policies: Seven Day Guarantee/Expert Pricing - This only shows that they're not willing to do the research necessary to price fairly and maximize profits for the client. My guess, based on the pricing that I've seen, is that they take one day to "organize" and one day to price. I walked through and found a never-been-used mid-century men's leather wallet from a well-known producer not even priced (I got it for $1)... They could have priced it for $10 (it's worth $30) and sold it easily if they'd taken the time to research and write a tag for it. They offer speed, not maximum profits. So, why is this a lucrative decision for Elliott's? Because they only had to pay for four days of payroll and they get to pocket all of the rest (minimal output = acceptable return). Now, something about Closing Day: In the sale that I attended this weekend in Mesta Park, everything was $1 for the last 30 minutes (this wasn't advertised). I saw 10+ pieces of heavy antique furniture leave that house for $1 a pop. Sounds great if you're the one carting it away, but if you're the client then this seems like quite the loss. When the bell rang, they cleared the house, locked the doors and left within 20 minutes. 20-25% of the merchandise was still left in the house, so I called the owner and asked what they did with it. He rudely explained that they have a clean-up crew that takes care of it and that "something something too big of a liability," and "we're not interested." I sat in stunned silence for a moment and then heard him chuckle (he was pleased at being rude). I told him Thank You and he hung up. This is the owner. I hadn't even asked him to buy the remainder. So, it's too big of a liability to have someone come in and buy the remainder from you when you just had the house full of people for two days? It sounds like they have a very lucrative way of dealing with the leftovers and they want to keep it that way. Which, is fine... but you can just be an adult and say that instead of rudely ending a conversation. It appears that I'm not the only one that's had issues with Justin Elliott or his employees. I would advise all to find another liquidator and enjoy your extra money and slightly longer turnaround time. read more

Everything other reviewers have written and given this company one star is true. Elliott is the rudest, inconsiderate, unprofessional person I have run across in business in 40 years. If you read the testimonials on their web site you would think they are the best company in history of mankind. There is no way to put up negative reviews. I'm sure little, rude Elliott has something to do with this. I can't say strongly enough what a jerk he is. His pricing policy is ridiculous. You can get thousand dollar rugs for fifty dollars, two thousand dollar antiques for twenty five dollars. Yet items that would cost a dollar in any store, are priced at five dollars. We wouldn't give this little guy one little star, but you have to in order to post. He was the rudest person to customers and his employees. If you dared ask about a price, he became visibly irritated and at a very high volume announced "I am the star of this show" . We witnessed him grab items out of two different customers' hands and told them to LEAVE they were not welcome to be guests in this house. This happened, one right after the other. They gladly left! Such arrogant, immature, rude behavior! No one was deserving of the way he treated them, especially the people working for him. He interrupted and refused to answer questions. Accused one customer of getting mad; who was simply asking a question. He then instructed the man to leave pointing at the door. He was right about one thing, it was a SHOW, star NO WAY! In addition, the tiny house was packed. Far exceeding Edmond fire dept regulations. Crowded, piled items, no organization of the over priced merchandise. You could NOT pay me enough to attend the elliot (sounds like) "show" ever again and I would NEVER RECOMMEND THESE SALES OR HIRE THIS COMPANY! This is of course, an opinion of two. I have advice for anyone who decides to use Elliott Estate Sales. 1. Make sure you have a COMPLETE inventory of EVERYTHING you are selling 2. Make sure that Elliott Estates has also made a complete inventory of everything in your home 3. Compare your inventory to the inventory of Elliott Estates 4. Make sure that you check the price on EVERYTHING that Elliott Estates has tagged 5. Make SURE that Elliott Estates provides a RECEIPT for everything that is sold! 6. Make SURE that you video every single transaction as things are being sold. You have the legal right to video the transaction because Elliott Estates is on YOUR property 7. Make SURE that Elliott Estates is charging SALES TAX 8. Please, please have an attorney READ the contract 9. Please have family and friends stationed throughout your property while the Elliott Estates people are in your home!
