If only I had allotted enough time to drive through it I might have rated it five stars. I was unfortunately on a tight schedule. I needed to make sure to get to the HEB parking lot during the peak time to witness the cluster that was the parking lot due to construction.

If you're in Waxahachie and you haven't hit the famous Waxahachie Pothole, are you even living?…read moreThis isn't just a pothole--it's a landmark, a rite of passage, a black hole for your suspension. Locals say it's been here since the dinosaurs, and honestly, I believe it. My car hit it so hard, I swear I saw fossils. The Waxahachie Pothole offers a full range of emotions: terror, regret, and then a strange sense of accomplishment. It's like a surprise party for your tires, except the party is hosted by gravity and asphalt neglect. Bonus points for the sound effects--it's like your car screams, "Why have you forsaken me?" in real time. For the full experience, I recommend hitting it at night, when it's camouflaged by the streetlights. Daylight encounters are fine too, but you miss the thrill of the element of surprise. And don't worry--if you get stuck, locals will be more than happy to charge you a tow fee while sharing their own pothole horror stories. Honestly, this pothole is a Waxahachie treasure. Sure, I lost a hubcap, but I gained a story to tell at every barbecue from now until eternity. 10/10, would hit again (mostly because I have no choice). Thank you, Waxahachie, for this masterpiece of municipal engineering!

Re: ELLIS County Red Oak Police Department…read more Yesterday, I called the non-emergency hotline to report what I believed was an abandoned car that had been parked in front of my house for three days. An officer came out and informed me that the vehicle belonged to a neighbor. He also stated that they didn't have to move it because it was parked the required distance from the road. When I asked whose car it was, he said he couldn't share that information--which I understand. I had assumed the car was abandoned because it was blocking my driveway and no one had returned to move it in 3 days. While I realize the road is public property, I felt the officer could have at least encouraged the neighbor to be more considerate and move their car as a courtesy. Our road is narrow, and it's difficult to get out of my driveway when cars are parked that way. Since the officer made it clear they didn't have to move the car, I decided to speak with the neighbor myself since this is not acceptable. Fortunately, we were able to resolve the issue directly to have the car moved. Situations like this are exactly why people end up taking matters into their own hands. The interaction with me and my neighbor could have resulted in a situation that could have become volatile. However, this experience left me feeling that calling the police was useless and unhelpful--I don't plan on calling them again. It seems they have quite a few racist complaints but you have to dig for them because they do not allow complaints on google or etc.

You can also walk through a museum, visit a psychic, axe throwing and enjoy lots of fun food and drinks, beer and cocktails. Plenty of souvenirs shops too! Ranked are my favorite to least favorite: * Terra Mythica Castle - Scariest Haunted House. * Times Up Maze - Most interactive but still scary! I would have definitely done this one twice! * Hell Dolls on the Main Stage! Sooo good! * Klownz in 3-D - very different from any other haunted house I've been too! Enjoyed it a lot! * Wasteland, Zombie Apocalypse - Scary * Bootleggers Bayou - wasn't scary and needed more. We also bought the fast pass with our tickets and it was worth it. We didn't have to wait more than 10 min in a line. We were able to experience so much in a 2.5 hour time. By time we left the place was getting busier by the minute and it was 9:30pm.

Once you are inside, you can visit the 5 haunts inside as often as you want or are able to for the evening. They make use of the fairs food stops & shops to give folks a place to shop, grab a bite or enjoy some drinks while there. I do recommend getting there close to opening and spending as much time as you can there to get the most bang for your buck. As well, try to go earlier in the Halloween season as lines get longer & crowds larger as it gets closer to actual Halloween. If you absolutely have to go closer to Halloween or Halloween weekend then you might want to spring for VIP, though going opening weekend it's a waste to get vip cause the lines are short. Also stop to watch the hell dolls show! I think it was around 8pm & 10pm the night we went; but check when you are there to be sure.

I refuse to ever come back to this place because it has happened twice now. You're probably thinking "maybe i did something to deserve it", but when you're just standing there with your family trying to eat and start getting yelled at and made fun of for having red hair repeatedly, it starts to grate on your nerves. I can take a joke or two, but to not only non stop bash on me for it, but decide to follow me halfway around the park continuing the 'joke'? Not only the one time I came, but TWICE. So much for a family friendly environment.....
