Went to Tri State Speedway last night and had a great time! Went with a group of friends and…read morewatched live racing. The warm ups started around 6:30PM, racing started at 7:30PM, and ended around 10PM. Tickets were roughly $20-25 for adults, which may seem like a lot, but you are at the track for a long time and you can bring in a small cooler, which will help you save on food and beer money. Students 12-18 were $15-20 and kids 12 and under were free. Ticket prices vary depend on the event. You can bring your cooler, or you can grab food at the concession stand. They serve hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chicken fingers, hot dogs, and fries. The line moves pretty fast, each window has a holding container and you can just grab what you like as you go through. They didn't put a ton of food out at a time, so food was not just sitting there. I got a double cheeseburger and fries which tasted pretty good and were both fresh. They have ketchup, mustard, onions and pickles at a condiment station. I'm not a huge racing fan, but I really enjoyed myself. It was exciting and the fans are really in to it. Good family fun, not far from Evansville, IN. Tips- you will definitely want to bring some earplugs or other ear protection, a cooler with food and drinks, and cash.

This is the best drag race track I have been too besides a big NHRA track. I consider this one as a…read morelocal track. They advertise free parking but there is an admission charge. You pull up to big entrance and pay. Then you can park where ever you want. They give you a schedule at the entrance. Now looking at it, it seems they have something going on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They also even have events going on sometimes during the week days. They are open April to November for racing and other events. So they are closed December, January, February, and March which are the Winter months. I wished this track was closer to me because I would be a regular. One feature I really liked is that they have bleachers with roof tops. So you don't have to sit out in the hot sun. You can see these roofs in the pictures I took. As a matter of fact, there are bleachers on both sides of the track. So you can choose either side.

The staff was very professional, and since my session was first thing in the morning, the instructor gave me a few extra laps the photographer on site is a beast at capturing sweet moments of your car, and was worth paying for the digital photos. Would definitely come back to open up the car again around the track.

Its true they choose your kart, but they send you off to the karts up front of the line of karts so…read morethey can't really choose who gets good karts. Not all of the karts where created the same some are faster than others, OR the other driver might be better at controlling the kart. When putting you in races they kept me within my party of people only allowing one other rider that was alone to be our group. The staff was not mean to us at all and made it so in between races we got more rest and where not back-to back, by putting the next race up Infront of ours. The staff would help anyone who got stuck and helped put of gear if needed. They make sure any new riders watch a video of the rules of the track and how to work the karts. The arcade is a nice way to pass time if your not riding or if you are waiting to ride. They have seating for if you are watching the track. They will also call out your heat when you are up and ready to go down to the track. There might be people who will run into you but that will just be the people who are there that day and is not the Baden's Karting's fault if you get hit by another rider. The two problem I had faced there was my knees would hit the stirring wheel and I now have bruises. The other one was the seat belts kept getting jammed, but the staff would help if that happened.
