But don't worry about that, he always bottles it when it comes to parties. The staff were pretty disoriented dealing with a group booking, and they seemed reluctant to help with our bags. They pointed out that I was unlucky being on the top floor - something I wouldn't have thought twice about otherwise. It was also overlooking the main road, so was quite noisy on the night. That said, the room was clean and comfortable. It was very traditional and pretty small, but certainly did the job for the night. There's a downstairs bar with lots of sofas too, which made a good meeting point before heading to the concert. It was a short stroll to the centre of Knutsford and the entrance of Tatton Park, which was great. They were also very relaxed about what time we came back too - not that we were too late! Breakfast was really good with most of the classic English choices: eggs, bacon, sausages as well as yoghurt and toast. We stayed in the Willow and the Fuchsia which were both gorgeous however the Fuchsia for some reason had a coffee machine, dressing gown, and slippers and the Willow did not which was slightly odd as we payed the same price for both rooms. My wife and I booked Carden Park Hotel in NOVEMBER 2024, for the night of September 11, 2025 to…read morehelp celebrate a dear friend's 60th birthday at the hotel. I used Hotels.com to do so. Today, on Sept 8, I received a note from Hotels.com that read: " We wanted to let you know that, unfortunately, Carden Park cannot honor your upcoming booking on 11 Sep 2025." Hotels.com did their best to book me another room elsewhere, although with three days' notice the options were far reduced from nine months earlier. No reason was given by Carden Park for dishonoring the reservation. In my opinion, there is no reasonable excuse for waiting nine months to let me know that they would dishonor my reservation (and it was not any reason, such as nonpayment, on my part). The Carden Park website says that they are 'closed' on September 11. Why I don't know, since they're open the next day. Perhaps they needed the rooms for a corporate outing, but I cannot confirm this. In any case, it's my opinion that Carden Park's actions are reprehensible and that their failure to offer any compensation or credit is simply unacceptable. It will be a cold day in Hell before I ever stay at this place.

But the rooms are nicely appointed and there are 2 very nice restaurants; one casual pub style and the other more fine dining. Both restaurants serve great food. There's a nice spa, fitness and fantastic pool. And the service is very good.

Several electrical outlets to charge all our electronics. Shower had a rain shower head and the hot water was just right. Could have used a handicap bar to get out of the tub enclosure, though. The included breakfast each morning was great, lots of variety and everything was fresh, including the croissants. I've been to other hotels where the pastries seem a day or two old. Highly recommend this hotel. We did not use the pool, spa or workout center.
