We still like Elmer's, but mainly for the locally raised meats, pickles in the refrigerator case, and a couple of grocery items. The gift shop is sadly not nearly as appealing or as sizeable as it was under previous ownership. It looks like it could use an upgrade. Currently it's the more healthily-and locally-raised meats that keep us coming back. It's really nice to have a source for buying those. read more

Love the fresh eggs (chicken, duck, turkey, goose or quail!) and veggies. Every plant I've purchased from them has thrived. Friendly staff and very knowledgeable garden center crew. Plan to go buy a tree there soon! read more

This farm stand was super cute and had wonderful berries and watermelon. The owner even washed the strawberries for me because I'm 6 months pregnant and he knew I would eat them all before we made it home. He was so nice and friendly! The bathrooms were spotless too which is another plus! Can't wait to come back next year on our way home from the beach. read more

July 4th - they had just closed early for the holiday but still allowed me to go it a grab what I needed. It's not huge like some produce places, but still has a decent amount of items from their own, and other local farms. Of course they have the candy as well along with cakes, gifts, and local meats. Employees are helpful, happy and kind. I now go out of my way to buy from them. read more

This roadside stand had so much potential! I wanted to love it so much... but greed has a funny way of ruining something good. I understand that we all need to make a profit, but this place was super overpriced. Lets start with the prices but keep in mind you also have to fight through the flies to get to any produce. 7 dollar watermelons, "local" corn (in spite of the fact that all the eastern shore corn is about 18-36 inches tall and no where near tassels) for a whopping 6$ a dozen. The prices went from bad to worse and I could even see paying that kind of money for fresh top notch local produce... but it was mediocre at best. This place even had a shopping cart full of 1/2 rotten cantaloupes with a swarm of flies buzzing around them for a 1$ each. Maybe they should have been 1$ for two of them three days ago. Props on the venison jerky (even if it was 26$ a lb) and clean bathrooms They need to get their flies and prices under control. read more

This place is awesome. The staff is friendly. The produce/products are great. We stop here on our way to the beach and on our way home.

Fresh produce , straight from the farm eggs, jams and jellies, fresh mozzarella , flowers, herbs, ripe melons, etc. Always have to stop here on the way back to MOCO from the beach to stock up on all the goodies. Italian ice and fresh lemonade and sweet tea too. Also a gift shop off the back with nick nacks, country cook books and a wall of Yankee candles. Red bull if you need a pick me up. Specials on past prime produce. I got a bag of cucumbers for 1$ and they were still great just a couple spots needed trimmed off. I love this place! read more

This is a great little roadside store with Eastern Shore ambiance and friendly staff. Please take into consideration that any uncomplimentary reviews were left before it changed ownership a couple of years ago. It has been updated and improved. The fruit, vegetable and plant assortment is very nice and it's a lovely, fun gift shop, as well. Lots of gourmet type foodsas well as the basics. I loved the assortment of herb plants and they were quite helpful finding me what I didn't see. I could spend hours here! read more

(6/28/2015) Trixsy little market on 404 on the route to the shore. Prices are high, fruits and veg may or may not be local, and they may or may not tell you. Sometimes there are labels like "Eastern Shore-style Cantaloupes" or "if we didn't tell you, you'd swear it was a local tomato." I don't mind supporting small family businesses, but caveat emptor. Bonus: guy with a pickup smoking racks of ribs in the parking lot. Smelled hog-heavenly. read more

Elmer's has the freshest, most delicious produce in the area. It is a great stop on the way to the beach. They have ice cream, produce and fantastic beverages. My favorite beverage is the joe peach tea, a must try. The produce is juicy and tender, the peaches are phenomenal! I love Elmer's! read more

We stop here each year on our way to Rehobeth Beach AND on our way home. Yes some things are slightly expensive, but others are fair prices. We always get cantelopes, watermelons, and tomatoes for our trip. The only issue we have ever run into is that one of the girls at the register is rude. Like it's a chore for her to be there. Yes, prices are high, but that is not the real problem. Young lady at checkout was very sweet, but seemed to be watching the two of us like hawks and probably noticed when I paid that I had not paid attention to what my spouse had put in the basket. She did not even offer me a receipt or the print-out from her adding machine -- so I had to interrupt the customer behind me and ask for it. Sure enough, I was over-charged. My impression: slick operators out to fleece the tourist trade on the road to/from the beach. read more

I was charged $16.00 for 5 apples, 2 zuchinnis and some carrots. What? Not again, I don't think so.

I use to this place regularly. Tried them again as I wanted to bring some fruit up to some friends up north. I should have known better when the peaches had bugs on them. I went ahead and bought a quart for a very high price. Unfortunately just tried them and they are horrible. Really old nasty. I want to the next stand down the road and ask them if they had peaches, they were honest and said there are no more good peaches this season. I'm very disappointed in Elmers.. Wasted my money and I will not go back there again. read more
