But I will ask next time I visit. While meditation is a technique practiced mostly by Buddhist, its popularity has grown over the years due to the health benefits it brings. Nowadays many people who are not a part of the Buddhist community practice this form of mind decluttering. If you are into natural medicines I recommend checking them out https://meditationingeorgia.org. Meditation is known to alleviate stress, anxiety, improve your attention span and mental heath, and many more. What I like about Kadampa is that they offer a slew of class & events to enlighten you about the practice. Also, every Friday at 6:30pm they host a Free Meditation & Dinner Social event; every Saturdays at 8:00am they host Free Meditations in the Park-which is currently being held inside the facility due to the weather.

Buddhism presents many a conundrum. As far as I understand it, part of Buddhist philosophy espouses…read morethat no one is better than anyone else, and that there is no good or evil. Thus, I guess, no better and worse. So, to tell you that this place is fabulous might be a bit anti-Buddhist. Good thing for you, I'm not far enough along my path to make those judgments. If you're looking for a safe and inviting place, that is, nonetheless, serious about Buddhist studies, this is a fantastic place. Sunday morning "classes" (they are not referred to as "services"), are open to anyone, and involve meditation, followed by a lesson offered by Gen Kelsang Mondrub is a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Gen Mondrub is humble, often referencing his own challenges and fallibility, while offering wise, accessible, and inspirational lessons. A childrens' class is offered next door, offering genuine Buddhist teachings in a manner accessible to little ones (with time for coloring and arts and crafts thrown in, too.) Parents can stay with their children or go to the adult class. The center also runs the absolutely delightful vegetarian Buddhist cafe down the street-- the World Peace Cafe. But, as Buddha said, "Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense. "

My husband had scheduled a massage as a gift for that afternoon. This was probably the worst experience I have had. The therapist was poor in her execution, style and even manner. Before my treatment even started she mentioned an up charge for deep tissue. During my treatment she burped two times and her massage was far from relaxing her massage etiquette as a therapist was poor and as it was my birthday it sort of ruined my whole experience there, which was a shame. I did reach out to the B&B and provided my feedback, was told the spa manager (Tanya) would reach out but she never did. Heard back from the B&B manager and she told me the owner would give me a $50 dollar credit to my treatment the next time! We live almost two hours away so will not be planning on using that any time soon. To be honest after that experience I would not go back to the spa. The b&b was lovely the massage experience not so.

Title: A Blissful Retreat at Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa…read more Rating: (5/5) My partner and I recently enjoyed a two-day stay at Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the impeccable service and breathtaking surroundings left us utterly enchanted. Firstly, I must commend Alex, the multi-talented front desk manager and concierge. Her warm welcome and exceptional hospitality set the tone for our entire stay. Alex not only ensured a smooth check-in but also provided us with valuable information about the resort and nearby attractions. Her dedication to making our stay memorable was truly impressive. Our mornings were filled with culinary delights thanks to the talented chefs, Michael and Linda. There are always 2 courses, and they typically feature some local produce and meats. Michael's breakfast creations on day one were a delightful surprise, with flavors that danced on our taste buds, especially the sausage! Linda, the breakfast chef on day two, continued the culinary excellence with a delectable breakfast that left us craving for more. The eggs with asparagus were amazing and I am super picky about my eggs. Rebecca, the waitress, deserves a special mention for her attentive and friendly service during our meals. She made dining a pleasure, always ready with a smile and quick to accommodate any request. Carla, the kitchen helper, and Cassidy, another member of the front desk and concierge team, contributed to the overall smooth operation of the inn. Their dedication behind the scenes did not go unnoticed, and it's evident that the entire staff at Lucille's is a well-oiled machine. Desserts are also served in the evening and the guests serve themselves and typically joined in the common areas, reading, chatting or playing one of the several board games available. It was delightful way to unwind. The highlight of our stay was the couples massage at the spa, a truly rejuvenating experience. The spa staff exhibited professionalism and skill, creating a tranquil atmosphere that allowed us to unwind and connect on a deeper level. Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa is a place where luxury meets nature, and where every staff member goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The stunning mountain views, the impeccable service, and the attention to detail make this an oasis of relaxation and romance. We can't wait to return to this hidden gem in the mountains. Thank you, Lucille's, for making our stay unforgettable.
