MY BIG FAT SHOTGUN WEDDING…read more Well butter my buns and call me a biscuit...imagine my surprise when I git the results from my Walmart E.P.T. test. Another baby comin' all the way from the back seat of a Trans Am to our happy, inapprop-adjacent family! Daddy just git outta prison cuz he brung the wrong half of a sawed-off shotgun to a porch-pirate shopping spree. He come from a long line of bad decision makers one sandwich shy of a picnik. If you can't run with the big dogs, stay under the porch, am I right?!? Bless his pea-peckin' little heart. Anyway he git madder than a wet hen when he heard I git knocked up again. He was fixin' to shoot my baby daddy Bubba right thru the noggin. Bubba git scared and was all "don't need to pitch no hissy fit. I'mma marry my purdy-as-a-pumpkin-but-half-as-smart cousin". Happy as a clam at high tide, we takin this 2-week relationship to the next level! Next day we went to the Marry Me chapel. I got a punch card so the fifth time ceremony is practically free! Since its whatcha call a "formal" weddin, daddy bring his white shotgun named "Face McShooty". The one he uses to shoot the crows off the roof is "Dick McCheney". I gussied up in my purdy-as-a-peach dress, the one with the lace and puffed up sleeves and a veil that cover half the parkin lot. Bubba, sweatin in his 2-size-too-small britches, look like he was as lost as last year's Easter Eggs as he stood up at that there altar. Bless his pea-peckin' little heart. Daddy he stood by my side with a smile that looked more like the grimace he have when he gits stopped up. Well we plumb did the ceremony and we git hitched! Like they say... fifth time's a charm! And daddy give us a weddin present - a brand new pair of SHINY TRUCK NUTS!! Later we went off like a herd of turtles to celebrate at the trailer park down yonder. It was cold enough to freeze the balls off a pool table. We had so much Mountain Dew and dollar-store ketchup on Wonder Bread that I sit on my iphone and it become an ipad. Pro tip: great venue, reasonable price, and beautiful ceremony given by Mollie. Only place around that has a loyalty discount. Nice conversating with ya'll. Gimme a holler if ya need more details.

The wedding was great and beautiful so i feel like giving it 5 stars, but the business side of things were a little off. I signed the contract stating i had the chapel for rehearsal from 4-6 on Friday and 2 weeks before the wedding my coordinator called to tell me they booked a last minute wedding at 5pm that friday so i needed to be finished with rehearsal early. At first i thought no big deal, but then realized we had already sent out invitations for the rehearsal dinner which was to start immediately after the rehearsal. I would not have time to call each invitee and let them know the time had changed, nor was i able to change our reservations at the restaurant. I had my coordinator speak with KC and they worked everything out. I'm glad there was no problem, but they shouldn't have double booked the venue 2 weeks out. Also, after rehearsal we were supposed to put all our decor in the club house so that our coordinator could set it all up that night. However, the Friday night wedding (who we were told was not using the club house) was all set up for their reception. I had to store all our decor in the pool bathroom. Not exactly where i wanted to keep everything. We were to receive our deposit refund two weeks after the wedding. When we got back from our honeymoon i e-mailed the office with our new address telling her to send it there. She said she already mailed it to the address on our contract (my old apartment). I told her that was no problem because i had filed to have all mail forwarded. A couple weeks went by and still no check. I e-mailed again asking about it and they said just give it more time. I was receiving all other forwarded mail. Eventually (6 weeks) i spoke with them and they said they didn't know what happened and they would put a stop on the check and mail me another one to our current address. I was being patient. When i received the new check there was a sticky note that said "sorry my bank charged me $36 for a stop payment fee" and our deposit refund was less $36. I was back and forth with them for a week about who's responsibility it was to pay that $36. As the customer who just gave them thousands of dollars and did everything correct on our end, i don't see that it's my job to pay your banks fee. For all i know they forgot to mail the first check and it's sitting on her desk. Unless that first check was in my possession, it is not my responsibility. They went back and forth with me saying it wasn't their fault and they "had to make a special trip to the bank and fill our a form, so for all the work [they] had to do, $36 is actually a pretty minimal fee for [me]". i finally got her to split the fee with me. It's not the end of the world, it's just bad business. The venue is gorgeous and it's nice that they supply you with an event coordinator. All of that was great! It's just the business side that was frustrating for us.

You can tell she truly loves her job and wants to make everyone's wedding day spectacular and perfect. Christina made it possible for my husband and I to have the wedding of our dreams! We're so grateful for her and all of her help. Not only did she go above and beyond in the most important things- like picking out a good florist, giving recommendations on caterers, tents, etc., but she also made sure to send us back to the hotel on our wedding night with extra entrées and cake because she knew we wouldn't have the time to eat while entertaining our guests. She would truly thought of everything, down to the smallest details!

One of the most exciting times of life is having a daughter to celebrate when the man she loves ask…read moreher to marry him. Recently our daughter, Allie, was joyfully engaged and the time had arrived for wedding planning. We agreed that the guidance of a Wedding Planner was definite, yet had no idea where to start. Not having sources that had used an independent wedding planner, we perused internet reviews and one name floated to the top over and over. Her reviews were stellar and her pictures exciting. Together we agreed to reached out the CHRISTINA LOGAN EVENTS and set up a meeting with Christina Logan. Aware that planning a wedding was complex - complicated by Allie's work schedule and with me living out of state - it was critical to find the right person to tackle our lives while pulling together the dream wedding. As Christina introduced herself, it was clear that we were in the presence of someone who was not only skilled at her craft but genuinely passionate about making Allie's special day perfect. Our anxiety slipped away, knowing we met our perfect wedding planner, we joyfully hired Christina Logan Events to plan Allie and Alex's wedding. Christina quickly presented a detail outline of our budget and put together a board of Allie's thoughts - dress ideas, colors and flowers - a highlight of her dream. It was spot on! Allie's text to Christina was "So excited! You're doing amazing pinpointing my vague idea!"  We were realizing the fortune of finding Christina, who was professional, dedicated, giving attention to detail that was beyond our comprehension. Before long, a delightful sense of humor emerged from Christina, making the entire planning process enjoyable and stress-free.   Christina worked effortlessly through every phase, no matter how big or small, ensuring everything was executed flawlessly. She respectfully listened to Allie's ideas, saw her vision, and worked tirelessly to bring it beautifully to life. (And thank God for that sense of humor which was fully appreciated when attention to numbers attending and table assignments were required). With everything perfectly in place prior to the wedding, on ceremony day, Christina was a stealth spirit of perfection. She set finial touches on tables, perfected the bridal cake, straightened the groomsmen, pinned my dress lining, oversaw food service and the entertainment, orchestrated the wedding party, ensured all facilities were well-maintained, and more. The evening flowed flawlessly as she guided Allie and Alex with calming ease and complete support .... Always with her lovely smile. At night's end, not missing a step, she had the getaway car packed and awaiting the new Mr. & Mrs., sparklers passed out, arms open sending Allie and Alex off with hugs. It was beautifully moving for me, Mother of the Bride. Christina was a highly treasured part of Allie's wedding journey. She also became a cherished friend, whom I miss speaking with weekly. We are forever grateful for this Angel - truly a gift from God. We highly recommend to all of you seeking someone to guide you through to your dream wedding - she is here - Christina Logan of Christina Logan Events.
