Landon came out to see what was for sale and not for sale. We were told to move out a week before so they could arrange all. We booked into a hotel and after 2 days we asked what's happening as no communication they said we not doing it anymore as another sale came up!!!. He wasted our time and money!! Went to my third estate sale in Santa Rosa today (3 sales in the last 15 months). I love being able to find such unique pieces that I know has a story with it. However, every shopping trip has been ruined by the woman who runs these sales. She is very unpleasent to deal with, abrupt with her answers, lacks patience, and not very nice to her employees. I have never had any problems with her staff but have often had to deal with her and it has become a dreaded encounter. Today I had a friend with me but we were shopping separately......and this friend came back to the car saying "Wow, I have never dealt with such a rude person." I don't think I will attend another one of ELS estate sales with her in charge. Hate leaving bad reviews but future clients need to know. read more

I've been to estate sales and it has always been a pleasant experience but this one was the worst. The organizer Julie should not be working with the public. She was rude and unprofessional. I saw her be rude to the estate's family and friends. Grieving is a hard process and she had zero compassion. I would recommend she change careers or possibly consider anger management therapy. It's not hard to be kind to one another. I would not recommend this business to anyone and would steer clear of future sales. read more

It doesn't take much to be pleasant to your customers yet the owner of this company is downright hostile. I purchased a piece of furniture which is the point of the sale, and instead of accommodate my request to pick up at the time of purchase she proceeded to ridicule my vehicle to her employees, and was put out that I wanted to take it even though it was the last day of the sale and not busy. This woman might be effective at liquidating estates but she's is unneccessarily mean. In the future I will avoid any of her sales. read more

Ugh! I dread getting to any estate sale and see it is run by these people.....the woman who runs it is BEYOND unpleasant; she's downright MEAN. The other workers in general are not particularly friendly either. I know they want to make money for the homeowner (as they should) and I'm sure they get tired of people making ridiculously low/insulting offers on items...but they ARE a SERVICE company, could they at the very least try to SMILE from time to time?? As a previous reviewer said, they act like they are doing YOU a favor even listening to you! Horrible personality aside, their prices are MUCH too high as well. As I stated, I know they need to make their clients money...but their prices are MUCH too high. I am guessing they look for an item on eBay and go by comparison to what others are asking; do they filter to "SOLD" items to see what they actually SELL for? I'm addicted to sales and will stop by....just be aware. There ARE sales out there run by FRIENDLY people! read more

Just like the other reviews I can't agree more on how unpleasant the woman who runs these is. I too have walked away from a $50 sale because of her tone. Its only worse if you have a child with you, she follows you around and makes sure your child doesn't even touch a pillow or chair. read more

This company held an estate sale all weekend in my neighborhood. They had zero consideration for the neighbors and allowed people to park blocking driveways and back into people's landscaping or onto private property the entire time. It was mayhem. Monday morning, they still had people coming back to pick things up and yet another large truck parked across my driveway, even though there was only one other vehicle parked on my entire street. There was zero communication ahead of time, they blocked the street and driveways for hours, and took zero responsibility for controlling the selfish and inconsiderate drivers they invited into our quiet, peaceful neighborhood. I will never, ever use this company or recommend it to any of my friends. By the way, I learned that CHP is responsible for illegal parking situations like they create, so call the Santa Rosa CHP office if their customers are blocking your driveway or running over your landscaping: 707-588-1400. read more

These people need their heads examined. Estate sale? Hardly. Just leftover junk after friends and family have picked over anything decent. The workers are rude and the prices are completely out of line. There was a tool marked $40. Looked it up and it's $39.99 brand new at Home Depot. My husband made her an offer of $30 on Sunday (generous, IMO), and she rudely scoffed and insinuated he was out of line for even asking. I live close to this house, and watched as the tool was put on a Goodwill truck the next day. They are the WORST. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

ELS Estate sales used to be fun when Phyllis ran them. Now the people running them are so rigid and serious, but even worse than that are their prices. They're ridiculous. Do they think their clientele is rich people and idiots? So much of what constitutes the sale of a household is everyday items, and they price these goods as much as you could buy them new at a store--except their items are used and/or aged. They sell pantry items at store price -- $3 for a jar of spaghetti sauce! If an item has an appeal due to being vintage, that's one thing, but to price it beyond reasonable value pisses me off (i.e. $45 for a tablecloth that would be $15 elsewhere) They would never even attempt these prices in any other area or state. They take themselves way too seriously. read more

Went to her estate sale last weekend on a Sunday, her final day, & she refused to negotiate (standard norm is 50% off on final days) so we walked away from a potential $40 sale. Today visited her Oakmont sale & she again refused negotiate for $2 over a $20 sale. If I was the estate owner she represents I would be livid. The whole point is to sell the estate items. read more

They act like you are annoying them if you ask a question, and like they are doing you a favor to sell you something. And their pricing tends to be sky high too. Bring your whole pay check if you are going to come to one of ELS Estate Sales.This is the Whole Foods of Estate Sale Services, with only average items at their sales with prices that are crazy expensive,The prices they mark their items is more than those at Walmart ( no joke ) and even Safeway is cheaper on household items. I have to admit they have improved on their customer relations , having gone from poor /Horrible to average .If you are looking for a fair price or a bargain , look elsewhere. read more

I've only been to one of ELS's sales, but if it were my estate they were liquidating, I'd be pissed that they weren't trying harder to move the inventory. I just attended the last hour of the last day of a sale in Santa Rosa, and the prices were higher than retail! Even at the very end, the discounts were negligible. The house was still packed with pretty interesting stuff. There was a truck parked outside waiting to haul it all away, so maybe the estate holder receives money when those guys take all the items that were never going to sell at those ridiculous prices. Now I know to save my gas when I see that ELS is in charge because my favorite thing about an estate sale is that I might find a fun bargain or two. read more
