This is extremely important. Based on the firm's online presence, I did not understand that the person conducting the initial consultation was a consultant who did not work for the law firm. Information from that consultation was then provided to the firm. It was not until I spoke directly with Adele that I understood there were limitations and differences between what we believed was agreed to during the consultation and what Adele was actually willing to provide. Had my mother understood this before paying approximately $4,000, I do not believe she would have made the same decision. My mother's experience since retaining the firm has included four different points of contact. Each told us they would work to get her paperwork processed and sent to the attorney for filing. None of those four individuals work there anymore. To our knowledge, her case still has not been filed. I previously posted a negative review and was contacted by paralegal manager Mary Murray, who acknowledged our concerns and assured me things would change. I trusted those assurances enough to REMOVE MY REVIEW. Unfortunately, the communication problems continued. Calls, texts, and emails seeking updates have gone unanswered, and the telephone numbers we have for the firm have recently resulted in fast busy signals. I finally spoke directly with Adele today. Rather than resolving our concerns, she refused my request for a refund, characterized me as being adversarial because I continued asking the same question when I did not believe I was receiving an answer, and disputed my mother's account of what occurred during her consultation. This conversation confirmed for me how important it is that prospective clients speak directly with Adele BEFORE paying this firm. If you take nothing else from this review, please take this advice: Speak directly with Adele. Ask exactly who will be representing you. Ask what services will and will not be provided. Ask who your actual point of contact will be. Get your questions answered before signing anything or paying a retainer. Do not rely solely on what you are told by a consultant or another point of contact. Speak with the attorney herself and then decide whether this is the representation you want. If you are elderly, have a disability affecting communication or memory, or are not tech savvy, I would be especially cautious. My mother paid approximately $4,000 expecting legal representation and support. After multiple points of contact, months of frustration, unanswered communications, and a case that to our knowledge still has not been filed, I deeply regret that we did not insist on speaking directly with Adele before my mother paid the retainer. I cannot recommend this firm based on our experience.
