I love this credit union…read more I have had wells fargo for about 10 years and I hate them. So I opened a joint checking and savings account with my partner at Utah Federal Credit Union and they have been great from the start. The employees are always extremely helpful, quick, and friendly. They know me by name and I don't just feel like a bank account number. They are helpful in all aspects of our banking. There are some drawbacks to being a credit union. Their hours are a bit limited (they are closed on sat and sun). Also, I ran into this problem once while ordering concert tickets through a UK artist's website... when you pay for anything online that is international, it will not go through unless you have called to notify the credit union first so they can remove the block. And now that I know that, it is simple to just call ahead of time to make sure an international purchase will go through. I still have wells fargo, because I have other financial ties (credit card) with them that I'm not going to get rid of right now. But I highly prefer UFCU to WF. I have switched over all my direct depositing, so I can have as little contact with wells fargo as possible.
