We met up to talk about themes and ideas and her excitement is contagious. Even after that, she was always available to answer all my questions; so by the day of the shoot, I was at ease and knew what I was getting into. The shoot was amazing beautiful views, champagne, scrumptious nibbles, expert make up and hair- I felt so pampered! After that I just took her queues and had a blast! The time flew by and the shots she showed me were amazing, I didn't know I could photograph like that! A few weeks later, we met up to go over the images and she showed me how to use the private online gallery to view, share, and order additional prints. In our first conversation we told her about our plans, and the vibe we were looking for, and she talked about her aesthetic and sent us some of her work to look at. We had some stuff we definitely didn't want at our wedding (like a bunch of super posed group photos), and she was gracious about all of our requests. After we agreed to work together, Hope sent a really simple digital contract and payment form for us to complete. I was also really impressed with the fact that she immediately went to our venue and scoped it out so she had an idea of where to take all of our photos, and what to expect at the event. Leading up to the wedding, when we were overwhelmed with all the details, Hope sent helpful messages just checking in and asking if we had questions for her. On the day of the event she was totally available - she came to our house while we got ready, and documented some lovely intimate moments without making it weird. We had talked through a photography plan for an outdoor wedding, but of course it poured rain! So we had to get married indoors, and Hope adjusted beautifully. During the ceremony and the reception, she was always in the right place capturing the perfect moment. She captured our vibe so well with our "couples" photos. I wanted a high quality video to remember this season of our lives. They captured our family life just like it is. I am so excited to have this forever. Hiring Jeff and Amanda to photograph our wedding was the best decision we made. Our wedding was…read morehuge (200+) and non-traditional, but photography was really important to us. They are incredibly friendly but also professional. I think the best part about Jeff and Amanda is that their positive energy is infectious - you can't help but smile when you're around them. This made us much more relaxed during our photo sessions - and it shows in the photos. We did an engagement session before the wedding and we're so glad we did it (I also highly recommend that couples do this so there's less stress on the wedding day). We started the session feeling a bit awkward (posing is hard) but ended up having a blast. The photos were a true representation of us as a couple - they were genuine and beautiful; exactly what we wanted. Since we got all of the awkward posing practice out of the way during our engagement session, our wedding day photos were a breeze. I knew I picked the right photographers when they walked into the venue and I was so excited to see them. They really outdid themselves and the whole experience was a blast. The only thing I regret is not having a photo with them (although Jeff did sneak into one and it's one of my favorites!). The photos were incredible and people are still talking about how fantastic they turned out. I would recommend them to anyone and I will absolutely hire them in the future for any photography needs! Jenny Penney is the first photographer who really captured the essence of us living in our little home and created these . . . I have to say it . . . Works of Art that will be iconic for the memories of our time in this home, long after we've moved on! I really wish we had known her when we were in our previous home, we have plenty of photos from then, but nothing that captures the essence like the photos she took of us in our current home. Now that I think about it, maybe we need some great photos of us enjoying our home in springtime!

I have to really commend him for being so incredibly patient with us since we had a 2 year old who wanted to run around and eat apple slices instead of being photographed. Jon took my surprise proposal photos and the experience went great! Many pro photographers never…read moreget the chance to capture that experience. The surprise was not spoiled (except for my inevitably suspicious lady who wondered why I asked her to keep a certain Saturday open). Jon and I met at the Lord Hill Regional Park the day before to scope out the area and find an optimal spot with optimal evening lighting and spot for a picnic. The next day, my lady and I drove to the park and I was happy to see Jon talking on the phone with his telephoto lens hidden, ignoring us to keep the surprise. Then, he followed us to the proposal spot keeping his distance and got sharp, beautiful photos of an important moment. Thank you! He used the latest Canon full-frame mirrorless camera (EOS R) and a high end ~300mm lens, which was great to keep the quality good even with high ISO for the shady conditions. He used manual exposure settings and Spot focus, to make sure the camera focused on the right thing for the photos (not a branch, e.g.). Perfect! We got 98 photos for $500, which I think is a good deal. The photo choices (removing the duplicates), cropping, and editing were great. The only comment my lady and I have is that our skin had a green tint in the photos, but we could fix that in minutes in Adobe Lightroom to all 98 photos by adjusting the color balance and tint. We posted our photos on Facebook and also got printouts and our friends loved them.

We recently had our second Santa mini session with Jon this year. It was so good last year we had…read moreto come back again! And will continue to do so. Last year I found him via a Facebook post about his Santa sessions. I did the math and realized that two low-quality, amateur Santa photos at the mall is $90+ tax these days. Jon's bundle for the 15 minute appointment (no waiting in line), private meeting with Santa, and 6 professionally edited photos for not *that* much more is what sold me to sign up and give it a try. And he delivered!! It was fantastic. We were able to do a family shot, family with Santa, both our girls with Santa, both of them individually with Santa too. Jon was very professional and the studio looked festively fantastic. And so did Santa! Top notch outfit, and very friendly and authentic. The girls were addressed by name from the get-go (info collected at appointment scheduling) which added to the experience even more. We plan to continue coming annually for our Santa photos as long as its offered! Thank you Jon!

Heather was able to schedule me within two weeks of reaching out to her. On the day we initially scheduled, it was very rainy and she was able to reschedule for a few days later. My maternity photos were unconventional, as I had my 4 best girl friends in the photos with me. Heather made it feel like we were getting our bridal party pictures taken.
