Jenny was my daughter's engagement and wedding photographer in July of 2024. She was amazing, so fun, engaging and easy to work with - my daughter and son-in-law absolutely loved her. And so....she was able to get the best picture poses of them. The engagement photos were beautiful and my daughter used them for the "save the date" cards she sent out ahead of the invitations. This review is LONG overdue... We met Jenny in the beginning August, when we had our "bump" photos done. Scheduling with her was easy - she's super responsive. We even moved it out one week so I had more bump. My partner and I hate to have photos done. Like we do everything we can to avoid pictures. There are pictures of our dog in the house, not us. Jenny changed that. We loved the photos so much, that we scheduled a birth shoot, so we could have the moment we became a family captured, as well as, right before and after. Jenny was in the background and you wouldn't have noticed she was there, unless you talked to her. I wanted to talk while in labor. I was that weirdo. The morning of my wedding was nice but a little quiet and tense because the hair stylist showed up late and my sister didn't love her makeup. Then Jenny arrived and within half an hour the tension just... disappeared. Jenny handled my mom wanting to be there for our first look. (My partner really, really wanted it to be private). Jenny handled me tripping over my dress A LOT. (Y'all, if you're getting married in a long dress on grass, get your dress hemmed a little shorter. I was fine on cement and falling on my face in the grass). Jenny handled our 14-person wedding party with my beautiful 37-weeks-pregnant friend who couldn't be on her feet too long and our beloved but very talkative best man. She made time for me to redo my photos with my mom because I was sure I'd hate my smile in the first ones, and she fit in photos of my sister and her partner, and she fit in belly photos of my pregnant bridesmaid and her partner. Jenny is genuine, she is great at getting you to be yourself, she understands how to get you (and your family and friends) to make minor adjustments to capture better photos. I really can't say anything that hasn't already been said, so I'll just reiterate all of the wonderful reviews. I actually found Jenny GG through Yelp, and yes, she does live up to all the praise! Jenny was the first photographer we interviewed and after our first meeting, my fiance looked at each other and said "Yes!" Obviously, there was no need to interview anyone else. As we discussed the engagement shoot, my fiance and I really had no idea what we wanted to do, except for the fact that we wanted to do something different (i.e. no train track shots or balloons, etc). Jenny asked us what we love to do and we immediately thought: food and cooking! She took that idea and ran with it and we ended up having an amazing and fun e-shoot starting at Pike Place Market, where we picked ingredients and then to a relative's home where we cooked it up together and had a picnic on Lake Meridian with views of Mt. Rainier. The photos turned out beautifully, Jenny gives great direction and lets your personality come through without feeling "pose-y" in the least. Jenny worked with us to design a package that would work best for our wedding. We had originally planned on having a second shooter, but Jenny was very direct in telling us that we didn't need one given that our ceremony, reception where all in one place and she felt very confident she could get all the photos we wanted. We saved money on that end and still got all of the photos we wanted (1000+!) I loved her honesty and it really came through that she truly cares about her clients. When it came to the wedding day, Jenny totally rocked. Not just in snapping the photos, but taking full advantage of the venue and its surroundings. Jenny has the most energy of anyone I've ever met and it's totally infectious. She knows how to get the perfect giggle or smile--even when you're totally stressed or sleep-deprived. She's also so organized with all the different family portrait arrangements that we were able to get through those quickly so we could have some downtime before the ceremony. We got all 1000+ photos back ridiculously quickly. Did I mention that EVERY photo is fully edited?! Given the volume of weddings she does each year, I'm pretty she just doesn't sleep--seriously. Not only is Jenny an absolute pleasure to work with, but she is such a warm-hearted person that radiates positivity. We hired Jenny to capture family photos with our 8 month old in the Arboretum with the beautiful fall leaves as a backdrop. Jenny is a wonderful photographer and knew how to work with our daughter and my husband and my lack of ability to act candidly. She took my vague direction (baby. arboretum. leaves. mostly candid.) and the photos turned out beautifully and exactly how I was hoping! Her prices are also reasonable and the packages include high resolution digital photos (this was a requirement for us - I refuse to pay extra for digital "originals"!) When my (now) husband and I were searching online for a photographer for our wedding, the search results were OVERWHELMING! There were so many professionals available but how on earth do we choose?! We ended up finally narrowing down the vendors and met with 3 photographers, Jenny included. I can't really explain what made it so easy for us to choose her, but we just felt "it" with Jenny! She really got us and knew what we wanted and expected for our engagement and wedding pictures. Jenny photographed our wedding 4/18/15- BEST wedding decision we made. BEST wedding photos ever. Here's why: 1. A wedding is a long, non-stop day. To capture all that cool stuff that's going on, ALL day, in a bunch of different places, is a LOT of work. Jenny busted her @&& for us. She got so much that we didn't see. Jenny is amazing. Her photos are so beautiful people come out of the woodwork to tell you they're the best wedding photos they've ever seen! Jenny helps everyone relax and enjoy the moment instead of feeling like a mannequin being set into this position and that. She's also fabulous dealing with children, relatives, and mothers alike! Jenny is the best vendor choice you'll make for your wedding. Full stop. There are a million things I could say about this woman's talent for taking shots that show you and your people at your truest and best, about her personality that puts the whole room at ease, and about the fact that her packages are an insane value for what you get and how quickly you get it (two week turn around for 1,000 photos from my June wedding, WHAT??) If I tried to sum it all up, though, we'd be here all day, and you'd be losing precious time to book Jenny.
