When I got to the register to check out, I too ended up in a shouting match with him. He was RUDE and ineffective in handling customer complaints which include: 1-Listen attentively 2-Empathize and APOLOGIZE 3-Offer and execute a solution In speaking with a few others, this not the first time for this behavior from him. Last weekend she saw their Facebook post on a special deal for (local & organic) Silver Queen corn. I happened to be home and jumped at the chance to go with her to check the place out. I wish I'd gone the first time she told me about this place. I'm an avid keto dieter and both of us appreciate high quality food (especially locally grown produce), and Bumpy's doesn't disappoint. They have a nice assortment of Keto friendly products, some I'd never seen before. Part of my Keto "problem" is that I have a wicked sweet tooth and if something doesn't taste quite right (or very close to the real thing) I won't eat it. Two things I discovered there were Keto "maple syrup" sweetened with Monkfruit and sugar free ketchup that tastes amazing and is acceptable with regards to my carb intact. I've attached a photo of the two. Anyway, Bumpy's has a slew of great products for seemingly every type of diet. The focus is ethically sourced, organic, etc. They even had some of my favorite stevia sweetened soda. We walked out of there with a trove of stuff that either sounded too good to not try, filled gaps in our diets, or we just needed as part of our normal grocery shopping. The beets we bought were so sweet and the corn was out of this world. We had some off the cob and I also put some in homemade salsa. Even though I live in NYC where there are plenty of dispensaries, I always ask my cousin to make an Insa run for me and meet me at the family function when I need to stock up. I asked what the difference was in composition. The store clerk told me they were all different flavors. I said I understand that and asked about composition again. Then said they're all the same because they're 5mg. I couldn't believe I had to hold his hand through this entire interaction and get more specific. So I asked about to THC/CBD ratio and TAC. Then I asked another question that he couldn't answer and quickly realized I should stop and get in line and GTFO of there. Then when he was ringing me up, he told me there was a buy one get one free sale, which is not how the products were rung up. After about 5 excruciating minutes of back and forth, the kind gentleman next to him at the register finally leaned in and told me the BOGO deal is only good for one product. I asked why the clerk didn't tell me that in the first place and he said he didn't know, then the clerk next to him showed him a laminated sign attached to the register that clearly stated the BOGO deal terms and restrictions. This guy couldn't answer product questions and couldn't explain the price of things, so basically he's just a warm body collecting a paycheck.
