The supporting cast was able to bring the whole stage to life. Did i mention how much I enjoy it? Lastly, all the voices were powerful and right on key. I wish we would have known of this theater these many years of us visiting Greenville. If you can catch a production...do it. You will get your money's worth and leave with a smile. It was outstanding. This production was a first ever stage screenplay written based on the C.S. Lewis Narnia character. I was amazed at the quality of the production and in particular the puppetry and the intricate scene changes. Having seen productions on Broadway as well as in Los Angeles and Toronto and even the traveling Broadway series a our local Peace Center, I can say that the Logos production can proudly stand side by side with these venues, losing nothing in terms of the production, execution and talent. The facility and seats are different, of course, but I cannot say enough how impressed we were. Highly recommended and very well done.

The parking is behind the bldg, so be prepared to walk a bit to the front door. They had the campus decorated and for Christmas, so I really enjoyed all the lights. The inside was very clean and tidy. I really like how organized check in was, and open seating. So make sure you arrive for a great seat. The show was approx 2hrs long, so not bad at all. "Behold The Star" was absolutely amazing performance in Augusta, GA. I will check them out yearly for sure. It was well worth the drive and time spent. All the seats are actually good, but next time I will go early for a better seat choice. I actually liked the theater, even though its been neglected for many years. The outside of building is in great shape. The bathrooms are on the second floor, theater on third floor. Elevators are old and slow, we decided to use the stairs instead. No concessions, so eat before you attend. They are taking donations for the upgrade of the seats, I will post pics. The play was excellent, all the actors did such a wonderful job! I will watch the website for future plays. My daughter attended medical school at USC for 6yrs, so I have first hand experience on what the school charges for fees. Im really disappointed that the school has failed the up keep of this historic building. Im not accepting any excuses, its actually shameful. The Arts dept, staff and students deserve better than this. If you want the real history of the theatre, read the truth. I liked the goats. Make sure to check it out before a show. I am more amazed each time I come how well thought out the Flat Rock Playhouse is to getting everyone situated with parking, to making sure everyone gets to the correct seat. There isn't much space for parking, so they pack the cars in tight. This is a problem if you need or want to leave early, as you are stuck. But they make do with the space they have. The quality of the shows is outstanding as they get fantastic actors and have great costumes, sets, and music. This year I saw the Michael Jackson show, Beautiful, and Murder on the Orient Express. I'd have season tickets if I lived closer. I am wondering what shows will be playing for the next season.

Location-just a block or so off a main thoroughfare (Prince Avenue) Behind one of the beautiful old white mansions -but watch for the small sign on Prince -it's easy to miss. There is free (good) coffee (provided by a local favorite, Jittery Jie's coffee) and a tiny concession stand.

The theater is small (and I wish it was bigger) but the fine quality of the acting really just makes this place a treasure for Athens.
