On July 14, 2021, I went for my first therapy session. I had a knee replacement and needed therapy. The Ladies at the desk welcomed me with smiles and was extremely helpful in everything I needed from setting up future appointments to taking payments. They made me feel at ease. I met with my therapist, Daniel O. who took the time to evaluate me and set me up with manipulations and exercises I needed to get back to normal. He was very patient teaching me the right way to do them. He then gave me exercises to do at home to supplement the exercises I did in therapy. Daniel was phenomenal. I have come so far. Both do a fantastic job aligning your vertebrae to release pressure that has built up on your nerves. For me, the issue is my neck and lower back. My treatment plan consists of a 40 minute problem area massage with a massage therapist working with the soft tissues in my back and neck to achieve pain relief. The massage is not as thorough as others I've had at other offices. Next, is the quick stretch and about 20 minutes or so of electrotherapy with a therapist. Lastly is the manual adjustment with the doctor. The staff is friendly. Nice seating area with TV's and magazines. They also have complimentary coffee. The office is big with many treatment rooms. At times, you are sharing the room with another patient. I understand that they are a busy practice but the bathroom needs paint and some cleaning. I have been very happy with the latest treatment I received from Dr. Cherry. He always has time to check in on how you feel, how the last treatment worked and to address and discuss any concerns you may have. He is a great listener and has impeccable bedside manner.

My challenge with this practice is that at certain times of the day the small-ish space feels over-filled with patients, resulting in one's rehab plan becoming hindered or lacking because most of the equipment and treatment tables are in use at the same time. And for folks recovering from procedures & injuries, such chaos and crowding stressful at best, non-conducive to healing at worst. At slower times of the day the range of therapeutic options are very effective. That said, therapists have a tendency to congregate at the desk and chat amongst themselves vs. closely monitoring or effectively checking in with the 3-4 patients they are treating at one time. Whereas Kevin was much more involved with his patients, he is no longer with the practice, and I see no need to continue services there. Generally, as a rehab professional myself, I found all of the above disappointing.

My doctor sent me to PT for vestibular issues. He provided a list of PT companies. This was the…read moresecond PT company I tried. I can't express enough how pleased I am with the therapy. I worked with Alan, and not only was my vestibular issues resolved, the testing showed I was very visually dependent, and a few other issues I was aware of, like a tightness in my neck muscles. Well, to give an example at the beginning I could barely walk on a foam balance beam without losing my balance. By the end, I could walk this beam fairly well with goggles blocking my vision (no vision) and moving my head simultaneously. Also my sister noted (without knowing I was doing PT) my posture improved tremendously. My neck tightness/pain is gone. This was about one month of sessions. Definitely give them a try!!
