He is very professional as he sent me a text in the AM asking if we needed anything special to help us prepare etc...so first the Boat...Nordic Sun is a wonderfully restored tug that easily accommodates 6 so having 3 on the boat with Noah was very spacious...the boat is very clean and has a full head!!! Our tour was awesome and Noah added color and history as we cruised while giving us our space to enjoy the beauty and have a glass of wine!!! CAN'T RECOMMEND NOAH ENOUGH....oh and I thought the price for a 4 hour private cruise was very fair!!! we will us Noah and FHBR again!!! Tim B.

A wonderful day on the water with Captain Amio!…read more Since we were on Lopez Island, and the ferry to get back to Friday Harbor was so complicated, Amio picked us up where we were staying, and took us on a fabulous ride. The weather was perfect. We saw porpoise, heron, eagles and seals-as well as a host of beautiful boats The whales didn't make an appearance but we got to see a number of the different harbors through & around the different islands. . Captain Amio's knowledge of the area enhanced our journey. Great day on the water. Noah's communication made it easy to figure out everything. The boat was clean, had a bathroom and OUR 3 hour tour ended successfully. (It was supposed to be a 4 hour tour, but we sacrificed a half hour on each end since he picked us up on Lopez, we thought it was worth it).

He took amazing pics that were included with our tour also. Robbie, our captain, was also very nice and pointed out wild life. What I really liked was that no one at this facility read the riot act as they were walking us thru the process, which is what my experience with a LOT of boat rental places is... everything was done in a very relaxed manner and everything was explained very nicely We really enjoyed the 4 hour boat ride and did a loop around Waldron Island. Our boat died in the water after about three hours. Nate, Chris and Natalie were there within 15 minutes and helped us get back. They are all SUCH KIND and NICE people, they took care of the issue immediately, put us on a new boat and brought us back meanwhile towed the other boat. It's not an especially inexpensive way to spend a day (depending on your personal situation) but is a memorable, scenic experience. Not recommended if you don't have some boating skills, there are some shallow spots, rocks and tidal conditions to be aware of that could turn a fun day sour - but this isn't their fault of course. Overall a very good & fun experience that also felt safe. Seeing the islands from the water and not just from the ferry route is great!

A perfect, quiet marina with great staff and plenty of amenities…read more Booking a slip is easy using the app. Arrival is simple. The marina is fairly well protected from weather, the fairways are generous and the staff helps you tie up. The docks are in good condition. Lighting is adequate at night (not too little, but more importantly, not too much!), power pedestals are in good condition. Water is from a reverse osmosis system, so you need to be careful with your usage. No boat washing, which is fine. The general store and cafe are awesome. Good food, essential supplies and good business hours. Restrooms are clean and spacious. Hand dryers but no paper towels, which is okay but not great. Laundry facility is clean with good equipment. Nearby food is very good but limited. There is a pizza place directly across from the marina - limited hours. The BBQ place up the street (10-minute walk) is fantastic and has a good selection of beer, a full bar and a huge outdoor seating area. Overall, the vibe is relaxed. There are some party floats for yacht club events.

Despite that, they refused to issue a full refund. When I booked, I expected a reasonable level of customer service and flexibility, especially for something as unpredictable as getting sick. Instead, I was met with rigid policy. It felt like they cared more about keeping my money than doing right by a customer who couldn't safely attend. I understand that businesses have cancellation policies, but there should be some level of compassion and common sense--especially when someone gives advance notice and isn't canceling last minute. Unfortunately, this experience left a bad impression. I would hesitate to book with them again and recommend others read the fine print very carefully before committing... because even with advance notice, you will not get a full refund if you need to cancel.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Complementary cup of coffee just inside the main door. A great place to stop by and pick up what you might be looking for, and the only place in town where you can buy a Beautiful Lopez Island license plate frame.
