I tried to visit this debris in February as I needed emergency work. No one responded to my inquiry.

DO NOT GO HERE! I have had an awful experience with Vida Dent. They were warm and welcoming up…read moreuntil they had my money, and in a contracted payment plan. I had braces fitted, when they were removed and the bonding removed from my teeth the dentist 'Francesca', chipped one of my back teeth. She told me one price to have the braces removed then when I went back it was another price (higher). I felt very uncomfortable and quite scared to be in her hands in the end. She practically drilled off one of my white fillings. The brace brackets kept falling (literally within an hour of leaving) off which meant delayed treatment and more money spent on appointments and adjustments. My teeth weren't even straight when the braces come off. She sent a free retainer which was great but I've now been in treatment for 1 year and 9 months. It's crazy. I accidentally broke my top teeth retainer so naturally called them to send off for a new one. They apparently no longer have my scans (it was only 6 months ago). And they will do me a 'discount' to come in and have the scans again and order a new one of the reduced price of £150 from £200. I have found a local place for the same price of £150. Awful awful experience. Customer service is rubbish too. Please do not come here.

As dentists go this was pretty damn good…read more Mr. Manbajood whipped out his mirror, scratched my tongue (never had that done before, I felt a little bit like Free Willy) got his little drilly drill out to remove some tartar and then said, "wonderful teeth Miss Golden Elizabeth, see you in 6 months" It really was as simple as that, this fella is friendly and just got on with the job. Just what I want on a Friday morning! I well recommended dentist! NB. The Receptionist can speak an array of languages-- Very cool!

This was despite visible plaque having developed and visibly making my gums receed!! I had to ask for a scale and polish which I really needed. And I also had to ask for fluoride varnish where I noticed signs of tooth decay. Dentists like these, who avoid providing scale and polish, know that their patients will eventually have bad tooth decay that requires more expensive treatments and it really feels like they avoid providing the adequate simple NHS treatments in order for patients teeth to get worse and worse. They shamelessly do this in order to charge higher NHS bands, all for the sake of profit! For too long, many dentists have been trying to charge me £50+ for a simple scale and polish, calling it "dental hygienist appointment." A scale and polish is in fact included in the NHS charge (Band 1: £20.60 covers an examination, diagnosis and advice. It also includes X-rays, a scale and polish and planning for further treatment) and it is an important procedure that helps keep the teeth and gum healthy. This dentist did not want my teeth to be healthy. Because the dentist reluctantly did a scale and polish, he deliberately did a poor job and I felt like my teeth were being damaged on purpose instead. I will not be going back.

The moment you enter the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Reception was well laid out and clean...everything was pristine clean even the toilet. The dentist himself who only does extractions was very calming, he explained everything he was going to do, what he would need to do if the tooth broke apart, what any potential side effects could be and only when I was ready did he begin. He even apologies that the local anaesthetic injections would "pinch" ...understatement...lol. However, apart from the noise of the tooth being pulled there was no pain, he constantly talked to me and explained what he was doing, all the while in a very calm and gentle voice ...all the while I was swearing he stayed calm and pleasant. He was pleasant to his dental assistant and it was all over in 10 minutes. If you need your teeth out, go here. They are totally lovely and it even made this unpleasant procedure almost nice.

Truly Horrific Experience…read more I first contacted Prodental in May 2017. I booked an appointment and was sent emails with two different appointments - one of the many examples of their shockingly poor administration, which unfortunately is putting patients at risk. I had my first appoint and was told I was suitable for treatment. I was booked in for a scan and another appointment with the dentist for the following week. I had the scan and returned to dentist expecting treatment to start. Instead he took a look at my scan, said I was suitable for treatment based on my results, that I did not need a further CT scan and that I could be booked in for an implant. I was in and out of the treatment room in about a minute. I was then booked in the extraction and implant six weeks later. 3 days before my implant I received a voicemail saying I needed a CT scan - despite previously being told that it wasn't necessary. I had to take time off at short notice for the scan - and was also charged more than I was quoted for the scan. 4 hours before my appointment I received a call from Prodental telling me that I couldn't have the implant at the appointment because I now needed a bone graft. I spoke to the practice manager Nicola Burgess to try and understand what was going on. Like other reviewers of this surgery have experienced, she started shouting at me down the phone, saying it was my fault for not having had a CT scan insisting that all implant patients have one. When I asked her why the dentist said I didn't need one and why, if all patients have one, did they not book me in for one, she kept shouting over me. She was extremely aggressive. I was given no pre-information prior to the surgery telling me if, for example, I should avoid any medication or whether or not I should eat. The extraction of my tooth was, in the words of the dentist 'traumatic'. Now, I love going to the dentist - and I have a great dentist. I typically don't bother with injections (although they don't bother me). The bone graft surgery was brutal. I could feel and see thick thread pulling hard against my lips as I was stitched up and at the same time the dental nurse kept pushing the suction tube so far back I kept gagging. Four times I had to push her hand back. After the surgery I was given no post-treatment guidance to take away. I was given a prescription for 4 items including anti-biotics and steroids. I asked where there was an open pharmacy (it was almost 7pm) and was told 'round the corner'. I had further appointments for check-ups that took me into the following year. I would book 9am appointments but no-one would be at the surgery including during the snow. My gum was opened up a further three times and not once was I given information before the appointment. In November 2017 I was given a document with pre-surgery information 4 minutes before I went in. It contained information I should have had in advance and information I needed afterwards. After signing the form (which I annotated to show I had only just received it 4 minutes before) they took it away from me so I still didn't get the post-surgery care information. That form stated that I should have been accompanied and I was not. I had the impressions taken for the crown in on February 7th. It takes two weeks for the crown to be made but they made an appointment for 3 weeks later due to the snow. The appointment was postponed repeatedly . On 16th March I received the following email (copied directly): "Unfortuatly we will need to cancel your next appointment on Saturday 3rd Febuary 2018 @ 11.30 , We have avalibility on Friday 2nd January 2018 6pm where we can move your appointment." I had to continually chase them to find out what was happening. Finally I was given an appointment on 25th April. At the appointment they twice tried to get me to sign a form saying I was happy with the final results - even though the implant wasn't finished and I had yet to go into the treatment room. I notice in responses to poor reviews they claim that other patients who have had poor experiences have signed that form - no wonder if they are that duplicitous. Further, I understood all medical information to be confidential so I don't know why they publish statements about which forms patients have signed. At the appointment my gum had to be opened up again. The receptionist, who had been typing on her computer, came into the treatment room to act as the dental nurse. She did not wash her hands or put on gloves before handling the injection or the scalpel and for some unknown reason kept giggling whilst leaning over my face. The dentist had to keep repeating instructions, as she did not know what she was doing. Again I got no post-treatment information. My gum was painful and so I went to my regular dentist who showed me how to clean the area and what to buy. Avoid.

I have never got why people get scared about going to the dentist…read more From the age of three I used to go to Kings College Dental Hospital. Initially, slightly shy about letting a stranger look into my mouth (I am told) my parents would bring me here while Dr Smith a very amiable and calm dentist would count my teeth, give me a sticker and off I went home. I doubt this is common practice but it worked for me and since I have never had a problem with going to the dentist. The hospital deals in paediatric, orthodontic and specialist dentistry. It is run by the NHS so advanced booking is necessary and the time in the waiting room is by no standards brief, but the dentists here were always fantastic throughout the many years I was a patient here for. Excellent with children, excellent in what they do and thankfully I have not had a single problem with my teeth since.

It was a long time before I received…read morea letter with an appointment date and time (which could be changed on calling them, but I didn't need to), but apparently it takes up to 6 weeks for them to contact you after a dentist referral. My letter was followed by an automated voice message to my phone a few days before - reminding me of my appointment and asking me to confirm that I would be there. On the day the waiting time was minimal, the staff friendly and really put me at ease. I had an Xray (you have to remove all jewellery around the area - earrings, necklace etc, however I have a lip ring that I have never removed and they just worked around it). They provided an easy to understand analysis of my wisdom tooth situation, and the procedure I would need to go through, and said I would probably need another, 3d, xray scan to know how the tooth sits, before the surgery. A few days later I received my letter asking me to book my 3d scan appointment, which I did, and I arrived on the day and went straight in for the scan. Again, I could not remove my lip ring, and neither could the scanning staff, so they worked around it and it was fine. I am currently waiting for my letter to book the surgery itself. My rating will perhaps change after that! Pros: Friendly, helpful staff, efficient appointments (minimal wait!) Cons: Having to wait for letters to be able to schedule appointments - it creates a delay and a phone or an online system would be much easier! Scanning staff not being able to help me remove my lip ring haha.
