We used Petals & Leaves for our daughter's wedding recently. This is the third wedding we have used…read morePetals & Leaves as our floral designer. We have also used them for special occasion arrangements and they are by far our favorite. Our wedding venue was Scioto Reserve Country Club. The floral arrangements and customer service exceeded our expectations. Through initial stages of planning to the wedding day, our questions and hopes were addressed with great attention. We had requested a unique floral design to be hung from the ceiling above the bride and groom. The result was nothing short of magical. When the bride arrived at the venue and saw the arrangement she was brought to tears. It was more than a floral arrangement - it was artwork. In selecting this floral shop for our wedding needs, we were drawn to the original designs that were viewed through the website. Each wedding featured had uniquely personal features that were evident in the setting and bridal bouquets. If you want a personalized floral experience, there isn't a better business to support your needs. The bouquets and table arrangement were of highest quality and elegant. The floral designers were able to design the romantic setting that the bride and groom were hoping for. The customer service was responsive to all of our needs.

When the flowers arrived, there were only 4 roses--when the online photo showed many sweetheart roses. Many of the flowers appeared days old with the petals already curling in. I had to purchase more flowers elsewhere to try to make it presentable. Not the caliber of design I expected. Next time, I will go elsewhere.

The green bean casserole was so tasty and complimented the flavors in the creamy mash potatoes and gravy as well as the tart and tasty cranberry relish. The bread tasted freshly baked! Nothing tasted over-salted. The re-heating instructions were comprehensive and easy to follow. Included are times for putting each into the oven so everything is ready once the turkey is completely heated. Love the simplicity! I will order again next year!

I've come to the conclusion that the reviews I've read about them not wanting to do smaller…read morereceptions is quite accurate. It's been over a month since I've heard from Krystin Van Horn, the Director of Sales. I've followed up and left a voicemail message. If they don't do receptions under a certain number? Communicate that. If it's a busy season due to the holidays and the response time is slower? Communicate that. If the wedding is too far in advance and they'd rather provide a proposal closer to said date? Communicate that. The venue we chose has them down on their list of caterers that they will only use. I plan on sharing my experience with them in hopes they remove them since the venue is for small to medium sized weddings. Every wedding planning site I am on, I will be posting about this experience. It's a shame I can leave a review not based on what they actually do, but on how they don't feel I'm good enough to get around to doing what they actually do. If you have a smaller wedding/reception, I'd look elsewhere.

I reached out to Ali through her beautiful website about one month before my event. I had yet…read morepicked out a location. And I had just settled on the french provincial theme for my daughter's baptism. Ali met with me within a few days. We talked about my event and what I envisioned. It seemed in no time at all, she understood perfectly what I was looking for. We quickly started looking at pictures of what I liked. Ali started describing to me the pieces that she had that would work for my event. I was very excited. The only catch was that Ali was due to leave for a 3 week vacation the day after we met. How was I to make the various decisions that were needed? That's why I needed Ali in the first place. Well, Ali reassured me that she would be in touch with me while she was away and we would continue to work together to get done what was needed. Though, I may have to do some legwork in her absence. Ali provided me with contacts for event rentals, photographer and baker. I even sent her pictures of the event spaces I was considering and got her feedback as to which would work with my theme, her experience working with the particular vendor, etc. Upon her return and with one week until my daughter's event, Ali reached out to me and we decided on flowers. And when I say we, it was really Ali. I showed her pictures that I liked. She showed me a picture of an idea. I green-lighted. And she took it from there. She also worked directly with the site events manager to coordinate set up. It really was so easy to work with Ali. I trusted her ability to carry out my vision and her professionalism. With guests coming into town and working and keeping up with a 2 year old and 3 month old, I had enough on my plate. I'm so glad my trust and confidence were rewarded by an absolutely beautiful and spot-on realization of my vision. Recommendations: Cake - Ali recommended Adrian of Kennedy's Kakes to me (https://www.kkakes.com). I cannot say it loud enough...HANDS DOWN THE BEST CAKE I HAVE EVER HAD. And the most delicious and beautiful desserts. This was better that my wedding cake. My guests all ooo'ed and ahh'ed over them all. I had the joy of taking all of the leftovers home with me and enjoying them for the few days after the baptism. The amazing thing is that I never tasted Adrian's cakes before ordering with her. I trusted Ali and I was richly rewarded for it. My taste buds are grateful. Photographer - Ali recommended Sarah of Blue Posie (https://www.facebook.com/blueposie). Sarah was so wonderful to work with. She contacted me in advance and as for the style of pictures that I wanted for the day. She asked for pictures of the key family members and their names. She was prepared with all of this the day of. She captured what I wanted and make it better. And she did so while expecting in just a few weeks and on one of the hottest days of the summer yet. I wanted to be transported to the french countryside on a day a special event is celebrated. And that is what Ali did for me and my guests. I am so grateful. This occasion will never be repeated. Ali's design stole my breath as soon as I stepped into the room and fills me with joy every time I remember the day of my daughter's baptism. Eternally grateful!
