So lets paint a picture of this photoshoot: We were given a gift certificate for a newborn shoot and came with all smiles and hope for our little one to be immortalized. The shoot itself was nice, and the photographer/ owner seemed very knowledgeable and experienced. Oh but when we were sent a gallery of photos to select from, mediocre is what I would call it. Out of 30 photos we were to select 15 for download and I probably would have selected 6 as good, 5 as decent and the rest as trash! 4 outfit changes and I'd say that 2 outfits produced nothing worth keeping. Well, I know who I wont be going back too!

I paid the photographer Gavin, to take pics for my 30th birthday event. He came and took the pics…read moreand was paid heavily. But I never a receipt or my pics. Then he IGNORED me for nearly a whole year, dodging any and all of my efforts to communicate about the situation. Eventually, he reached back out and explained my pictures were "accidentally destroyed," so we came to the decision I would receive a refund (in two payments) for my pics. On the day before I was suppose receive the first part of the refund, I asked him was he sure about the price because I HONESTLY thought I had paid more than what they had quoted the refund me. His direct response to me was "no, and there was no way I had paid that higher amount and he was for sure about the lower price." Thinking I could have made an honest mistake, I let it go and was set on the price in the lower quote. But I still believe I paid the higher amount. The first payday comes and goes and I get no notice of payment for a refund. I reached out about a week later and received no response. I have YET to receive ANY communication attempt from this person about the refund for the NON pictures I DID NOT RECIEVE. However, I am constantly seeing this person post about how good God is, how we as christians need to treat each other, and even received an INVITE to his church on Facebook. I feel more upset that I have tried to be patient about the whole thing and feel Gavin just genuinely cares about money. I would suggest getting your photos before you pay him, because once he has your money... Who knows if you will ever see your photos. I know I didn't. Which is why I am taking him to court.

There are millions of photographers out there so choosing one was difficult, but we were immediately drawn to their artistic, bold style and easy-going personalities. Their prices also can't be beat! We planned to take our engagement photos at Kemah and on the day of, Stephanie called to let us know that the park was packed. It was so helpful that they went to the site earlier to scout out the area and then helped us to come up with a plan 2. This was our first time getting our photos taken and needless to say, we were so so awkward. Stephanie and Bradley made us feel more comfortable and would demonstrate the poses together which helped us have a better visual of what we should be doing. Fast forward to the wedding day, they handled our crazy group and guests like pros. There were groups running up to take photos with us or asking them to take their photos using their iPhones. Totally not part of the plan, but they were very kind and good at getting everyone back on task. During the ceremony and reception, we did not notice them at all. It was amazing to see the shots they got without having even noticed them the entire time. It was such a pleasant surprise and so special to receive our wedding photos while we were on our honeymoon just a few days after the wedding.
