We had an incredible experience. My daughter has had many photo sessions as I love pictures for…read moreholidays, her age, family shots, and she models. Of all the professional photographers we have had Lauren was so patient and friendly to my 4 year old. Not many photographers understand that kids are kids and often get distracted or change their tempers quickly. Lauren was so kind to my daughter waiting on her even if she decided to throw a fit. Before our photo session Lauren called me several times to prepare. She sent me an idea of an outfit and I had the outfit handmade saving $60. Lauren paid so many compliments with how the outfit matched the picture she sent me of what she wanted my daughter to wear. Lauren also had a special necklace made for my daughter to wear in the pictures. It was so beautiful and matched the dress perfect. Lauren also bought a crown and painted it special to match my daughter's outfit. When we were deciding on a place for pictures, Lauren took a whole morning, drove out to my area clearly an hour from her, just to find the perfect place. She found a spot that I honestly didn't think was appealing. It was an old boarded bridge over a small creek. When Lauren got all her props and told Aurora what poses to make I was in so much shock to see how beautiful she made the environment come alive. If you would drive to this place you would never believe our photos were taken there. That is how much talent and creativity Lauren has. To see this place come alive through her lens and ideas was so cool. She danced around with my daughter played with her and even formed a good relationship with my daughter before the photos. I received my photos right away. I was amazed with how quick I got them. They are all so beautiful and I will forever have this memory captured. The color is gorgeous. I posted one of the many great pictures on my Facebook and before 24 hours got 100 "likes." My daughter to this day asks for Lauren and she even drew a special picture for her. I haven't mailed it yet but I will soon. If anyone ever wants to take family photos, wedding photos, and especially kid photos I highly recommend Lauren. She knows how to capture a shot and has awesome ideas. I have already had several ask me who shot our photos and for her business card. Lauren has a gift for sure!

A variety of worms, as she was obviously not dewormed and Giardia parasite which has now been passed to my two other dogs. Giardia has to be sent out for special testing which is not available in the 24-48 breeder request. We are now on a second round. This has been a nightmare because it is extremely contagious to humans as well. So keeping things sterilized around the clock is difficult. I have much more to add and feel free to contact me. I did advise her and she said she took all her dogs for testing I call bullshit on that, how does she know who's poops is who's, to get tested, This is very close to a puppy mill so don't be fooled by the beautiful website and promises of doggy door trained, family trained etc! It's not true! The live in huge kennels. The address on the website is not where they breed these dogs. They live at a location they don't want you to know about....i do have that address wish they would publish that and be honest. BUYER BEWARE AFTER SPENDING THOUSANDS ON A DOG YOU WILL NEED MORE TO MAKE THEM HEALTHY. We are now on our third round of treating Giardia. Let me tell you this is exhausting keeping all areas sanitized, bedding constantly washed etc. I have two other dogs, they have been treated as well. vet bills, compound pharmacy prescriptions (because the medication is really foul tasting) all $ that add up. how can this breeder possible send home a healthy puppy. Remember you sign your rights away when you sign that contract. This is a very dishonest person! will look you straight in the eye like a saint, but she is not, the devil is looking at your check instead! I found this wonderful place for my dogs when we are taking longer trips! My dogs are accustomed to being around, just our family and don't always be friend new people readily. They immediately took to the owner, Brian. Our dogs are on a diet where they have a mixture of dry and wet food that require refrigeration or freezing. That was no problem at all for the owner to accommodate. The fellas looked well cared for when my son picked them up! My son forgot to check for the dogs blankets when he picked them up and Brian kindly drove them down to the city where we live so that the dogs would have them. I will definitely use Hicks Farm again and I highly recommend them!

Before she went, I'd worked with her on sit, down, take it, leave it, and some spins with decent success. Brian took what she had and built on it, adding heel, come when called, turn, and stay. He returned a noticeably different dog. When we hit some bumps shortly after, he came back out and spent a solid hour with me going over what was actually happening...not just commands and corrections, but why she was behaving the way she was and what she needed from me to feel secure. (Spoiler: she needed me to be more confident and consistent.) He has a way of cutting straight to what matters without overcomplicating it, and more than once he said exactly the right thing at exactly the right moment. What struck me most across both experiences was how much genuine wisdom he brings to his work. He's clearly someone who has learned his craft through deep experience and observation, and it shows in every interaction with the dog and with the owner. On top of all of that, his pricing was incredibly reasonable; boarding and training combined for what many trainers charge for training alone. We felt genuinely taken care of. Kind, patient, perceptive, and exactly what we needed. Highly recommend.
