Leading up to the month then week of the wedding, I had to reach out on several occasions to pay the reminder of my balance, ask if he received my DJ worksheet to help the flow of the evening, etc. Never was I contacted first. Leading up to the week of my wedding, I still had not heard from my scheduled DJ and Jeremiah had yet to inform me I needed to pick a backdrop for our photo booth. Three days before the wedding, I still had YET to hear from my DJ Ben. Once I was able to speak with him, we discussed the flow of the evening, must play songs, and important aspects of the evening to cover. Isn't the whole point of the timeline for the DJ to have a guide to use and not to need to bug the bride and the groom during the evening or require the bride and the groom to be on top of things as well and get the DJ to move onto the next aspect of the evening? When it came to the wedding night, the sound system was poor. I felt like I could barely hear my first dance song, even on the dance floor. There was no flow to the evening, requiring me as the bride to need a stiff drink to avoid my anxiety about how bad it was. The backdrop to the photo booth was wrong and not what was discussed just DAYS prior. The photo booth attendant did more time flirting with my guests then doing her job. She is in probably 20-30 photos, why? You are there to do your job, so do it, be professional! Only a few of the songs I had on my "must play" list were utilized. As the bride I had to ask about the cake cutting (which was never announced), as well as the dollar dance (which was poorly announced, therefore not even the mother of the bride or groom knew it was happening). It also only occurred for three songs. The list just keeps on going. Following the wedding, it took over three weeks to get access to the google drive for our photos from the photo booth after pestering from my end. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BOOK ELSEWHERE.

They really listened to what we were looking for in our initial meeting and helped bring a wide variety of music interests together in a cohesive way. They also really read the room and kept the party going. I haven't danced as hard as I did at my wedding in many years. Multiple people found us afterwards to say what a blast the wedding was and how surprised they were by how much we all danced and how late people stayed. He was worth every penny of his fee. He spoke with the couple twice before their event and created a playlist that featured their choices, but mixed to maximize the vibe of the evening. The music did not stop once for three hours and thus the dance floor was not ever empty. In fact, if the dance floor ever started to look even slightly less populated Glenn transitioned to a new song and kept the place hopping. I was surprised how late many of the guests stayed, but they kept saying the music kept them there. On top of the great music, Glenn was a great emcee and coordinator of the bridal party entrance and once the bridal party left played some old classics so us old folks could dance while we cleaned. I live in Chicago, but planned a wedding in Omaha, Nebraska. From our initial phone conversation, I felt immediately relaxed. Royce joked with me and let me ask as many questions as I wanted without making me feel like I was being a crazy bride. She also followed up with emails as the wedding got closer. Two-three weeks before the wedding, I was in town and asked if Royce would mind if I stopped to by to actually meet her in person. Even though it was last minute on a Saturday and she had a wedding to photograph that afternoon, she still carved out time in her day to meet with me and my fiance. The Big Day finally came and looking back, I can't imagine having any other photographer next to my side the entire day. We booked the "all day package" and it was totally worth it. Royce showed up at the hair salon before we did and immediately settled in with me and my bridesmaids. She is so incredibly laid back and wonderful- she fit right in to our little group and by the end of the night, I actually was sad she she had to leave! The next morning, my sister and I joked that we wanted to be her friend in real life. She was that cool. We just got our photos back (almost 900 photos in a two week turnaround!) and they are AMAZING! I posted a couple here so you could see her work. Royce is such an amazing photographer and I cannot imagine having a better experience with any other photographer (I know I already said that but it's something worth repeating). She made me and my fiance feel like we were the most important people- there was none of that superior feeling I felt with other photographers. Your wedding day is one of the most special and intimate days of your life- be sure to pick a photographer who not only recognizes that but highlights it! Last note: Royce's prices are unbelievably low. In a couple of years, I wouldn't doubt that people are paying twice what I did to have her book their weddings! Get her while you can!

Voila, there was Royce. She has a way of making everybody feel comfortable as she's shooting. It's very clear that she's a people person who loves her job. I think my fiance and I were laughing throughout the duration of our engagement session. When it came time for the wedding photos, we (along with our families) were at ease throughout photo after photo because she made it fun. As with any event vendor, communication response time is important. Royce was very responsive when I emailed, and I never felt worried about the status of our plans (nothing's worse than emailing a vendor who takes several days to respond, or who you repeatedly have to chase after). A+ for professionalism and communication. I'm very pleased with the photos we received! Nearly 900 total, also in about two week's turn-around time. Granted I had a winter wedding, but still... I should also add, as the other reviewer did, that her prices are exceptionally reasonable, especially given her talent. Can't stress how much we enjoyed working with her.
