Right after I got sick my fiancé came down with the same virus and also FaceTimed Weill Cornell about 3 weeks later the both of us got the same exact bill of $375 more then triple what they were advertising. On 8/2017 I had a pet scan and incidentally it showed that I had cysts on both ovaries & I was…read moretold to see a GYN in a yr to follow up. Bilateral nonavid ovarian cysts measuring up to 2.9 cm on the right. These are most likely benign, however in a postmenopausal woman, follow-up pelvic ultrasound in one year is advised. I went to see Dr.Dabney 10/2018 & she sent me for a transvaginal Ultrasound and she wrote on the portal on 11/2018 "There is a small cyst in the left ovary. It is not worrisome. Nothing needs to be done about it." Verbally I was told that since I was post menopausal I should see a GYN in 3 yrs. but on the portal she write " Next Appointment: As needed, otherwise 1 year." I reached out & requested to take scan on my ovaries based on the Pet Scan & she gave in & i never got the referral. Maybe 2 to 3 yrs after that I started getting my results on the Radiology portal. And this is what i saw "UTERUS: The uterus is anteverted measuring 5.6 x 2 x 3 cm. There is an anterior left lateral mid level subserosal partially calcified fibroid measuring 1 x 0.9 x 1 cm. A right anterior mid level intramural fibroid is seen measuring 1.3 x 0.8 x 1.2 cm. An anterior right lateral fundal subserosal fibroid is seen measuring 0.8 x 0.7 x 0.8 cm. ENDOMETRIUM: The endometrial stripe measures 0.3 cm in thickness and is normal. OVARIES: The right ovary measures 3.8 x 2.1 x 3.2 cm. The left ovary measures 4.1 x 2.7 x 3.4 cm. Both ovaries contain multiple small cysts. The largest one is in the right ovary without complicated features measuring 2.2 x 2 x 1.9 cm. The smaller ones are difficult to completely characterize but no definite complex architecture is see IMPRESSION: Small fibroids. Multiple cysts in both ovaries. The largest shows no complicated architecture. I went to another GYN in 4/2022 & she blew me off immediately because of my age Said I no longer needed pap smears which I insisted she do. She would not order any tests on my ovaries even thou I had my records w/me. I called Medicare & right away she sent me for a transvaginal ultrasound & MRI w/wo contrast. 1 transvaginal result "RIGHT OVARY: Enlarged, measuring 5.6 x 4.4 x 4.0 cm (52 cc) versus 13.7 cc on the prior study. The right ovary is replaced by multiple cysts. The largest measures 3.2 x 2.9 x 3.5 cm which previously measured 2.2 x 2.1 x 1.9 cm. The smaller ovarian cysts are difficult to completely characterize LEFT OVARY: Enlarged, measuring 5.1 x 3.1 x 4.1 cm (34 cc) versus 19.6 cc on the prior study. The left ovary is replaced by multiple cysts. The largest measures 2.6 x 2.3 x 2.1 cm. The smaller ovarian cysts are difficult to completely characterize.IMPRESSION: 1. Heterogeneous uterus with intramural and subserosal fibroids. 2. Enlarged ovaries replaced by bilateral ovarian cysts. The overall ovarian volume has increased when compared to the prior study. Pre and postcontrast pelvic MR may be helpful for further evaluation. 2- MRI results "TERUS: The uterus is anteverted. The uterus measures 7.0 x 3.9 x 6.3 cm. 2.0 x 1.7 x 1.5 cm subserosal fundal fibroid. 0.7 x 0.5 x 0.5 cm subserosal fundal fibroid. 1.0 x 1.0 x 0.8 cm intramural fibroid of the uterine body on the right. 1.1 x 0.7 x 0.8 cm subserosal fibroid of the uterine body on the left. ENDOMETRIUM: The endometrium has a thickness of 0.2 cm. JUNCTIONAL ZONE: The junctional zone is normal. VAGINA: 0.4 cm vaginal cyst. RIGHT OVARY: 6.3 x 4.7 x 3.5 cm T1 hypointense T2 hyperintense multiseptate cystic mass of the right ovary. No demonstrable enhancing mural nodule. Mild enhancement of the wall and internal septation. LEFT OVARY: 5.4 x 3.7 x 4.0 cm T1 hypointense T2 hyperintense multiseptate cystic mass of the left ovary. No demonstrable enhancing mural nodule. Mild enhancement of the wall and internal septation. PERITONEUM: No evidence of ascites. URINARY BLADDER: The urinary bladder is underdistended LYMPH NODES: Nonenlarged pelvic lymph nodes. VESSELS: Pelvic vasculature is unremarkable. BOWEL: Diverticulosis of the visualized colon. SOFT TISSUES: Unremarkable. BONES: Degenerative change of the visualized spine. IMPRESSION: Bilateral multiseptate cystic ovarian lesions. Cystic ovarian neoplasm is suspected. Considerations include serous cystadenoma. Surgical consultation is advised. Fibroid uterus. That leads us to where I am now. Immediately I was rushed to see a GYN/ONCOLIGIST/SURGEON & before I even went in to see her she had already decided that I needed a full hysterotomy because Ovarian Cancer cannot be detected until they remove them and biopsied. I was bum rushed and scared. I still have not had the surgery because I am terrified that I'm gonna have a stroke. I'm high risk for that also. This could of all been resolved years ago if Dr. Dabney read the report. If you see her for something serious, you have to advocate for yourself. I never take any radiology tests w/o getting the CD and read the report which posts after the doctor sees it.
