I started working with her in the summer of 2021, when my case was denied due to incorrect info and this is why we had to hire a lawyer to help us resolve this. McKenzie was recommended to me and I told her how critical is my situation and why I need everything to be stright this time. This woman send to me all of the paper works with mistakes and incorrect information and when I asked her why is this happening, she said for her defense that it is our responsibility to check the information!!! We paid her almost $5000 so that WE can correct HER mistakes! This is so unprofessional for a lawyer! In 2022 I received a RFE for my green card and it took her more than a month in order to start working on it. She didn't answer any of our calls and neither of my emails. I was worried that something may happened to her, because even when we went to her office in Winston Salem she wasn't there. How can you be a lawyer who cannot be reached more than 3 weeks?! I decided to send her an email from different email like a new client and guess what.... she and her assistant answered immediately!! She was receiving my emails all along, but on purpose she didn't want to answer them!! FInally she send me back the RFE to sign it and it was wrong again. She put my name as a joint sponsor, which will lead my application to a complete rejection! Mistakes after mistakes!! SHAME ON YOU, Mackenzie! I I've been through so many stress, because of everything happening around my green card and you made my life miserable. And I paid you for that! The moment I saw how she is playing with me I switched to another lawyer from Dummit Fradin law firm and this lawyer is a true example of a responsible person who took my case seriously. UPDATE (12/18/2025)…read more It has been 129 days since August 11, and there has still been no response or movement on this matter. I do not understand how or why this continues to remain unresolved. Multiple emails--including those marked urgent--have gone unanswered, as Jessica has not responded at all. UPDATE (11/20/2025): We went to court in mid-August, and the judge directly instructed Jessica to enter the updated order. It has been over THREE months, and she has done nothing. We email her every single week and get zero response. My attorney corrected the order, sent it to her, and still--nothing. No acknowledgement. No update. No action. The worst part? The new child support order would actually save her own client money, and she still refuses to do her job. If you want an attorney who communicates, follows court instructions, or handles even basic tasks in a reasonable timeframe, do not hire Jessica. The only time she even slightly moves is when a bad review forces her to. I have screenshots of every ignored email and every attempt to get her to simply do what the court told her to do. This level of neglect is unbelievable and completely unprofessional. UPDATE(2024) 50 days and still nothing. Would not recommend Jessica or her assistant Rebekah. They do not respond to emails or return calls to their clients or Opposing side Attorney/Assistant (she does read the emails, Read receipts sent). We had court on 21st of May. It is now 27th of JUNE and we are still waiting on documents/Schedule. However, when you do get lucky and get ahold of Jessica she is conveniently "Working on it" that day. 37 DAYS has went by, still nothing. No email/call back from her or her assistant. At bare minimum, I feel like her paying client should receive some type of communication. Her client and I have a very unique Child custody schedule(Per judges, ruling) Which we are both still confused about, and have to regularly text each other to understand it, Judge asked her to fill out his work schedule and send it over. Also, still waiting on an order and paperwork regarding child support/back pay. If you were needing anything done in a timely manner, I would not recommend Jessica. I understand that she has been in court for several days during this 37 day waiting period, However, she has not been in court for 37 days straight.
