A really friendly DIY and tradesman's supplies shop. They could not be more friendly and helpful,…read moreit is a pleasure to go there. Their prices are also pretty reasonable which is incredibly impressive considering how hard it must be to compete with the large chains. I have not tried their kitchen fitting service, but cannot see why it would be any differnt from great retail shop.

Redmount was recommended to me by a friend who called in one of their plumbers to fix the problem…read moreand overall was content with the result. Unfortunately, my experience was far from 'fast' and efficient. I called in a plumber to sort out the leak under my sink. Unfortunately, it was out of his capabilities as the leak was inside the building wall. I have asked the plumber, named Meguid, to have a look at the shower head that also has a leakage issue. Meguid did not have the parts with him but tightened the existing fitting and secured it with a tape, and offered to come back with necessary parts if it continues to leak. The leak indeed occurred again, so I tried calling Meguid to get him to come back with the necessary parts. To sum it up, I had to chase him by calling twice a week over a period of 5 weeks trying to arrange for him to come back. On various occasions he answered my calls, every time coming up with excuses and promising to call back. Never happened! So I gave up on waiting, and called RedMound and complained. They took 2 weeks to investigate and their solution was to call another plumber, pay full call charge again plus the charge for the parts. I wasted 7 weeks waiting for them to sort out what is a relatively simple issue and they do not feel responsible for the wrong doing and attitudes of their plumbers.

    - Extremely helpful and flexible, and fantastic attention to detail -…read more We contracted George, Christos, Vasilis and the guys for a full renovation on our house in Fulham. The renovation involved gutting the house, installing a new loo under the stairs as well as installing a new main bathroom and kitchen. The guys did a fantastic job and really went the extra mile to ensure the finish was fantastic and in addition treated the house as if they were doing the work on their own home. They were careful and thoughtful in retaining period features and also thought through every problem. The build itself was painless, there were issues with the house and George resolved all of them, for George there are never problems only solutions! It is through this diligence and attention to detail that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the guys. Galen Moloney SW6

Everyone needs a good handyman…read more And my fleet of "green" handymen ride bikes. And park them in Hoxton Square. And are great. We walk our dog often around Hoxton Square and see these bikes parked all about: "Green Workforce!" Sounds good to me, so I rang up and made an appointment. Easy to schedule, and they've been on time for both slots we've had. So far, we've had the following projects completed: *Hung shelves in our kitchen with brackets (and this is a VERY sloped room!) *Extended our shower hose and mounted a plant for it to the wall so that it can actually serve as a shower, and not a poorly-designed bathing situation for any plausible human. *Bits and bobs: tightened doorknobs, sealed doors and windows. The rates are hourly, but reasonable. Cash preferred upon completion. We've had two different guys out, and both were very friendly and professional. We call them now for anything we might need! Nice to have them as a resource for all those home projects you either can't get to, or shouldn't do yourself!

They were contracted to replace a door handle and a tap, simple jobs. Very clear instructions were given in writing via email and also on the phone. Unfortunately the tap they fitted was loose and a completely inappropriate handle was fitted, despite detailed conversation about what would be correct. One could see this as an honest mistake had they not try to get me to pay to make the poor job good! I ended up replacing the door handle myself to a good standard but the tap botch seems so bad that a new unit will have to be fitted. So be warned even if you are clear as crystal and have everything in writing you still may be expected to pay for bad work to be made good.
