It's a pleasant and well marked ten minute walk from Neasden, but there are a couple of alleys that could be a little unsafe after the sun sets, if you know what I mean. Entering the store, I stopped for a late breakfast to earn back the calories from the walk. They have a fantastic special - 6 items for £1.55 make up an English breakfast. That gave me a few minutes to catch my breath and plan my attack. There's a difference between "cheap" and "inexpensive." IKEA isn't heirloom quality furniture, but it will last pretty well under normal conditions and certainly is useful for kitting out a flat or a college dorm room. The kitchenware, including the cutlery and flatware and dishes are all decent and arty. The desks and the beds and the chairs and the sofas are all excellent. Not cheap. Inexpensive. I'm a fan. In the end, I skipped the laptop table. Maybe I can convince a vehicle'd friend to pick it up for me. Or have it delivered - the £15 table is only £22.50 with shipping. (600)

I shall elaborate, every customer on entering the store is followed around either physically by a member of staff or by the eyes of the owners family who stand on a platform behind the till observing each minute movement as though guarding the United States President. Insulted because either they recruit rude staff or they are trained to take there lead from the owners family, last time I walked in I didn't even notice a disgusting looking cracked bottle in the corner, I walked in and straight away a miserable dull looking employee said to me in a shrill voice "SANITIZER" I looked around and I can't recall exactly what she said now but I thought how rude. The reason I say injured is because the staff look really scared and are expected to work so hard and fast that if a customer is in the way they won't pause they just bang into you. No time for an apology either. Finally poor customer service, well all I will say is don't ever try and bring anything back that is faulty or you have changed your mind, its very much a case of buyer beware. Also don't ask about a product before buying it because back to point one that every customer is a shoplifter, so the attitude is come in, quickly spend money and leave. Having said all that the positive about the shop is they have some unusual books in Hindi language though at a massive mark up when you look at the rupees price at the back and if shopping in Ealing Road at the far end and it starts to rain, can kill some time. We had purchased two seals for pressure cooker from this store sometime back, which turned out to be the wrong size, so we took them in and asked them to change them, the young guy who claimed to be Popat was so rude and ruthless to my disabled mother and completely refused to listen to her. Disgustedly we left the store for a matter of eighteen pounds and went to another store in the neighborhood where we found the same size of seals for eleven pounds with a much better and friendly service.
