From my perspectives, compared to other Chinese places in other larger metros/cities, this place wouldn't stand a chance to compete. But..given it was a place in such a small, very low population town...it served its job of helping tame my craving for Chinese food. We got combo fried rice and lemongrass lo mein, both of which came with a little spring roll. The spring rolls were pleasantly crispy, a good balance of filling and wrapper, and both the rolls and the fried rice were almost Japanese in the seasoning: just enough salt and aromatics to bring out the flavors. Subtle, and delicious! (If you like American-style fried rice, add some soy sauce!) On the other hand, the lemongrass lo mein... WOW! It was nicely spicy, not too much for SE Asian style, and the lemongrass/chili flavor just exploded in my mouth. The noodles were cooked as perfectly as I've ever had. Decent amounts of well-cooked proteins, might have liked a touch more vegetables, but this was 9/10 food from a trailer parked by a bowling alley. Gotta love it!
