    Liquor store is getting ready

Great selection. Good prices. It's said to see how these nice people are covering beautiful windows against looters. I hope they will not get touched by this situation as I prefer them over any other liquor store in the neighborhood.

As neighborhood liquor stores go, Empire Liquors is relatively large. Located along a busy business strip on Queens Boulevard, the space feels bright and open from a lack of tall aisles. Wines occupy the right half of the store, divided by region, mostly Italian, French, and American, with small sections for other regions, and Kosher wines also. A large collection of champagnes in the back, including large format bottles. As typical of most liquor stores, their selection reflects neighborhood demand. Among spirits, vodka and whiskies are plentiful; for the whiskies, the selection takes up much of one wall and extending behind the counter, including American, Irish, Japanese, Scotch, and others. They even surprised by carrying two whiskies from Kavalan, Taiwan's first distillery. Gin and rum have fewer choices. Others like tequila, and particularly mezcal, have the fewest choices. Whether the selection by spirit is large or small, Empire curates well enough to carry not just the most popular brands for most, but sometimes a few more interesting choices. So among amari, not just Campari and Aperol, but Amaro Montenegro is available. The back wall has a good selection of liqueurs, often with more than one choice per type, such as two elderflower liqueurs and a few pear liqueurs. Empire is a good neighborhood liquor store; broad selection such that even for more obscure items, it is very likely to have at least one option for purchase. Prices are reasonable. The staff also tend to be consistent. A gem to have close to home.

It's the best liquor store in the neighborhood. Great selection and prices to match. Lots of affordable options too.

Good selection. Convenient location. Call first if looking for something specific and more obscure.

I felt like I was in Moscow or Alaska, minus the highway robbery price gouging. (I hear they like to tip a few over there in Putin's Land). There's a wall with a huge number of singles to make four or six packs from and take it as far as you want to, but that kinda reckless mixing can potentially lead to an exploding morning head. But, consider the important part that going the singles route, you're less likely to be going gonna buy a sixer that tastes like pumpkin dishrag, as it's the season, that you despise but drink anyway. *Waste not, want not" Boss Hogg. Me personally, I've never met a pumpkin beer I didn't enjoy spending some time with and I try to have them all. Gosh this is sounding more like a confession than a review. So I'm going further back when a voice sounds off from behind me inquiring about assistance. My brain was ready for a new suggestion as being the lone explorer on Starship Budweiser again just was not on my drinking to do list. At the far end are taps with lotsa Finbacks, my eves locked upon the last entry of a NY cider and as with europe and here in the USSA, we do the growler thing a few centuries late, but hey. Took that thirty duce into the rig and trucked it home with my only complaint -- I should have bought three or ten, hell, I've got a refrigerator and a freezer running in my garage, but truth be told, I like to pop in and meander.

I find beer town's employees and owners to be incredibly kind and considerate to their customers. please know there is parking in the back and they will be more than happy to show you where it is. Their prices are compatible to other places in the neighborhood and their selection is large and their beer is definitely cold. Beer town has been in the neighborhood for a long time and I hope it stays.

But I slipped inside for a quick peek, assuming tlonce i circumnavigated the thich glass, cameras & a metal detector I'd be ready to look around a bit. But once I finished a quick panorama, my eyes caught a beautiful selection of French & Italian wines that were priced far lower than I could have guessed. Naming regions and prices would further expound upon my level of euphoric surprise, but the fact remains that Yuri or Sergi's selections allowed for the least wine knowledgeable individual to puck a beautiful vintage. Again, the prices were two dollars lower on ten - fourteen dollar bottles and the amortization continued up the price scale.
