I communicated with Marthe and the entire repair process went perfectly. Marthe was wonderful to deal with and assured me immediately that "of course" they would replace the missing stone. I mailed the earring to her and had it back, beautifully repaired, within ten days. Mora has beautiful and unusual jewelry and I never miss an opportunity to visit when I'm in Asheville -- and to make a purchase! Marthe is the perfect representative of Mora's many and multi-cultural jewelry designers/makers. I can't wait to visit the shop the next time I'm in town.

The first time I went here was because of a recommendation from a friend. I went here to get my engagement ring resized and had such a fabulous experience. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I got my ring resized which I assumed would be very expensive because it has many gemstones and has an asymmetrical band. They were able to do the resizing in about a week and it was very affordable. When I got my ring back, they gave me suggestions to help keep my ring in great shape, the most helpful so far being to not sleep with it on. They also told me that I can stop by anytime to get a free cleaning. Since then, I've been in probably five times to get the ring cleaned. I'm always in shock at how beautiful it looks after the cleaning. Being an art teacher, it gets really dirty pretty quickly. It's always a good feeling to know that if I have ten extra minutes downtown, they can get it looking like new in no time. As mentioned, I've never bought jewelry here but I wish I could afford to because they have a unique, absolutely beautiful selection of jewelry on display. The store front is pretty small but the jewelry that they do have is all really awesome.

I have to say that Paula Dawkins Fine Jewelry was hands down the best option I found. The staff was very friendly and professional. The quote I got from them for the ring repair was less than half the best other quote I received and the final charge was nearly half the quote price! I couldn't believe that I got a repair at less cost than what was quoted! Who does that?! The repair itself was stunning and they went above and beyond to make the ring even better than new. Needless to say they've earned my future business for as long as I'm in this area!

Emma guided us through the process and each step of the ring making while we truly did all the work in making the rings how we wanted them. Emma was there for guidance, offering her expert opinion, and helping us with the more challenging equipment. We started from scratch and ended up with 2 unique wedding bands we made for each other, and will always have the memories of making them together too! It turned out perfectly. These guys are fantastic.

I personally was flocking to all of the jewelry; most (or all?) of it is either locally made or comes from fair trade organizations. Necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, you name it! There were some body products (like a dreamy cream I put on my hands), handbags, other accessories, and more. I ended up buying a unique necklace, but I seriously wanted one of everything in the store! If I lived in Asheville, this would be my go-to spot when I wanted to treat myself or give a gift along these lines. Despite the fact that we weren't even in the market for an engagement ring (and told her that), she invested her attention and time in humoring us by measuring our fingers, showing us any ring we wanted to look at, and explaining that the artists can customize any nature-inspired (or non nature-inspired) piece. We left that day with a business card with a bunch of tiny tiny notes written on the back. As we weren't really looking for a ring at the time, the card found its way to the depths of my glove compartment. Fast-forward 6 months, and I finally used the card. By then I was living out of state, but the crew at Zest was no less friendly and helpful than had I been their lifelong next-door neighbor. Every phone call I made was answered and every email sent was met with an almost-immediate response as they helped me design/choose the PERFECT ring for my now-fiancée. I honestly can't even believe how pleasant the whole experience was with them. They even took payment over the phone and sent the ring through the mail. Couldn't have been friendlier, more-helpful, or more professional. Will DEFINITELY be purchasing my wedding ring from them in the future!
