Worst company EVER to deal with. If you need a prescription refilled, don't count on this company. They don't care. They want you to jump through hoops to get a prescription and even when you do that, you still get denied. After a month of multiple calls, being redirected to two third party providers, told they can't help me then sent back to EmpiRx I found out that my out of pocket is $1272/monthly. My husband needs a very critical quality of life medication. EmpiRx approved it medically but not financially and it's a deductible exempt medication and not afforable in any way. I have been working with 2 care coordinators, a case manager, a PAL, the doctor's office, the pharmacy, and the manufacturer of the drug to try to get this pushed through. 3 weeks have passed and we still don't have an answer on this medication that he should never be without. We have a young family with a newborn that need their daddy to be in the best physical shape as possible. We already have a devastating diagnoses and now he can't even get the drugs he needs. This is frustrating to my core and evil on their end. Shame on you, EmpiRx! read more

Very poor customer service on the phone... Been on the phone for over 2 hrs and been "disconnected" and called back. Took over 45 minutes get a "supervisor" on the phone and the portal they tell me to use isn't working and Tech support doesn't work on Weekends because Lord knows nobody needs insurance websites on weekends! So it's 4 years later and this company is still as terrible as it was in 2017. I have place orders for meds online through their website only to have them disappear. When I call and ask they reply with "we have not been able to contact you doctor" which I find very hard to believe but if that was the case why would they not contact me through a phone call or email? Same as everyone else... We were switched to this company by my wifes work and immediately they are denying all the prescriptions she is on and one of mine. She did not find a medication that worked well until a year or so ago. We are in our 60's. I have never seen her this relaxed in our 20 years of marriage. They want her to go off the meds and try 2 different types to see if they work. Changing SSRI type meds causes withdrawals. It is crazy that insurance can come in a over ride a doctors plan after it has been working for years. IF you have a choice STAY FAR AWAY from this company. read more

This company, EmpiRx Health, which is located in Mechanicsburg, PA (www.empirerxhealth.com) is absolutely horrible! They only really exist to act as an intermediary, in the capacity of a bean counting pitbull, on behalf of their clients, whom are medical insurance companies that also provide prescription coverage, where under the guise of providing cost savings and efficiency to both us the end user, and our insurance providers, what's really going on is that they are doing everything in their power strictly to save the insurance company money, while doing absolutely nothing for those of us whom actually need quality prescription medications at a reasonable cost. Through the use of bullying and intimidation tactics, they try to force you to accept cheap generics, even if you discover that after taking them, that they're ineffective and don't work for you, or even worse, cause you to have an adverse reaction due to the cheap fillers and other substandard ingredients used in many generics. Sadly, if you do find that only a brand name medication works for you, with this fraudulent company, you're out of luck. Their objectives are designed to wear you down so that you throw in the towel, give up, and submit to whatever they tell you to do. Their tactics are to deny your first request for a particular brand of medicine, and if you appeal, they'll go through the motions of requesting needless additional documentation from you or your physician, raising your hopes for an eventual resolution, all the while fully knowing they have no intention whatsoever of providing you with the brand name med you requested. This is their process, they are relentless, and it will continue unless you give up and take whatever ineffective generic they force you to accept. Until my insurance company switched to these criminals, I had Optum Rx for my prescription meds and they were great, but since dealing with this bogus company, it's been nothing but a nightmare. They are without a doubt, absolutely the most unethical and dishonest company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Do yourself a big favor and run while you can! read more

Should be zero stars and I haven't even gotten a prescription yet. My daughter is on our insurance and she lives out of state. I got a couple of letters from EmpiRx addressed to my daughter so I phoned Empix to tell them they need to send them to her address and not mine. The lady was so rude I almost told her to F*** Off. She said they can only send the letters (even if there addressed to my daughter) to the card holder. I told her NO you need to send them to her because she pays her own bills. Then her tone changed and she became a little more civil. Today my daughter gets a call from EmpiRx and they tell her one of her medications that she has been on for years is going to cost her $500.00 ARE YOU KIDDING ME ?? I've called them about 4 or 5 times to ask questions and I'm not even kidding--every time the person on the other end was extremely rude. Like they didn't want to be bothered. If it gets better then I will change my review but for now it stands at 1 star. read more

Stay far away!!! The people that work there are nice enough reading a script while putting the blame on the companies that hire them to manage their policy. I filled a prescription was sent a 3 month supply only to be told on renewal that I needed additional information from my Dr. Why would you send the first script????? and why would your online ordering service allow me to process the renewal that I am entitled to. read more
