Each site features concrete pads with surrounding gravel, and the pedestals are clean, sturdy, and located at the rear of the site so bring a little extra sewer hose and power cable to make setup effortless. The resort grounds are exceptionally well maintained, and it shows. The amenities are beautiful, from the sparkling pool to the spotless laundry room. CONS: Security is non existent, theft is an issue (speaking from experience), no gate nor cameras, long-timers don't have to follow rules - junky campsites. Two nearby seasonal residents had multiple dogs that barked (yipped) constantly, even when their owners were sitting there. No attempt made to shush them. Tons of empty spots which is surprising for this prime season of the year. PROS: Nice staff. We met some new friends we will keep in touch with throughout our travels. Love it here! Concrete pads, cable, nice pool & jacuzzi, friendly service. Bonus: close to Palm Springs, El Paseo luxury shopping, grocery stores and much more. The web site had lots of amenities listed. The only thing onsite was two pools and shuffle board. Very narrow sites. When reserving I said our rig was 36ft long. Front of rig was even with street. The back was one foot from other rig. Lots of full time residents that look very trashy. Discussed this with office staff and they said sorry. Beware off advertising on web, looks are deceiving. Like most other reviewers we found the sites very tight--our was so tight they gave us permission to park our toad in an empty space! It was fairly quiet, but 110°+ does keep down outside activities. Our main complaint was that they limited hours the dog park was open: 2 hrs in the morning; 2 hrs around noon; and (the SIGN SAID:) 2:00 to 5:00pm. When we took our dogs over at 4:05 pm, an unpleasant man drove up and said we had to leave, he had to chain up the dog park!! Who locks their DOG PARK?? read more

I have been full time on the road since 1993 I have stayed with Thousand Trails in Palm Springs for 30 years on and off This year the closed the park on May 15 and I moved to Encore Park Oasis in Cathedral City It is a clean and well taken care Park Especially the beautiful clubhouse and laundry room The manager, Genie, is one of the best. She helped me so much through some medical problems Jennifer, the maintenance lady was especially helpful and always had a smile I'm a single lady with some medical situations, and both Genie and Jennifer were always ready to help me out. I had surgery and both of them made sure I was doing fine I compliment them on not only doing their job exceptional well, but kind caring people But, management is going to raise the Monthly rent next year ( I paid $830.00 with Thousand Trails discount) Electric is expensive It is important you check the rent plus electricity when staying at this park I know I would not be able to stay there again when the rent increases The park has wonderful facilities and great management I'm sorry the owners raised the rent so high. Our family of four, two teenagers and mom and dad in mid 40s. Oh and let's not forget our 9 month old Doberman. We arrived on a Thursday and departed on Monday. During our stay we used the dog park, the heated pool, spa, laundry facilities, resort showers and club house. Let's start with the park itself, it's off a couple of main streets but overall quiet from the traffic, there is no gate code so it is open to anyone walking by or driving by. The park welcome long term visitors as well as short term. Almost everyone we met was welcoming. The staff was very friendly and accommodating! Now let's talk about the dog area, at the entrance on either side there is an open pet relieving area, this spot is very close to drive by traffic but it's also in a place to take your pet for a sidewalk walk so very convenient. In the back of the park there is a fenced in play area for your pet. This is close to the resort showers and bathrooms . The dog park has bags and disposal for the poop and a table and chairs for owners to hang out. I didn't notice any water but the waste was cleaned up and lots of smaller dogs after there throughout the day my energetic Doberman was too intimidating for most of them and each day we hurried them out of there so my pup was disappointed. The pool area was very clean and popular among the campers , my teens were the youngest in the park so we had to make sure they had pool etiquette around the old ladies. My son like to splash and wanted to canon ball but he refrained. In the pool area was a large outdoor shuffle board and horse shoes and you can ask the office to bring out the corn hole game . On the side of the pool area is a community fire pit . While we were at the pool some friendly campers invited us to the adjacent pool for a pickup pool volleyball game . It was great, and a good way to enjoy the day. The laundry room is located close to the office with plenty of washers and dryers . U need to go to the office and get a card that u can load money onto I order to wash. The laundry room is clean! Well kept! Open from 8am-8pm. The resort showers near the pool seemed to be nicer than the ones located in the back of the park. They were pretty small but the hot water was constant . Bathrooms were clean! The club house has a friendly host, tables for gathering, books, board games and some refreshments. Overall this park is clean, easy to access your space full hook ups, friendly staff, pet and teen friendly! I would definitely come here again! read more

Also near back bathroom Two young men with pop up tent trailer with tarp's and stuff look like homeless camp! Shower was not clean. Just passing through, we have a 37-foot travel trailer and with the tow vehicle, we are 60. I have wanted to say what others have said, the sites I think are too small and it is very tightly compacted in the park. We came in last night and it was impossible to back in. Tried several times to get in and it was just not happening. I was so sad because I really wanted to stay here and most of any other spots seemed similar to the one we were trying to get in. I just loved the feel and people here, so friendly! We are moving cross country to TX and this was just a stop in for a couple of days. I just want to thank the lady behind the desk, she worked with us and got us in a spot that worked! Top notch service and very accommodating. I feel like if I lived here, it would be an awesome community. Thank you for being so helpful and I would recommend this place to someone else and would stay here again if I was coming through. Just stayed here for a Friday to Sunday stay and it was just perfect. Super easy to get to, clean, quiet, SAFE and friendly staff and RV'ers. The long term folks were super nice and greeted us everyday. Being that we weren't staying long it was nice to feel welcomed. There's a pool, hot tub, laundry and dog park. Spaces were easy yo get into. I noticed quite a few would have you at a front to back slant. If you have a large slide could be a little challenging but you can be moved if needed. I do wish there was more grass but it was fine. I would definitely go back again when staying on Palm Springs. You're minutes away from Trader Joe's, Target, restaurants and gas stations. Only takes about 15 minutes to get to downtown Palm Springs via 111. read more

We arrived at 12:35 pm, and the office was closed and a note that said be back at 1:45. WTH!!!! They said that they assign spots, but there was no where to park the RV and go to lunch. That is ridiculous! At least do what most campgrounds do... put an envelope on the door with our name and campsite assigned. There were a whole bunch of empty sites so we just picked one. At 1:50 we let them know where we parked and she said we had to move cause that wasn't a spot assigned to us. OH HELL NO. And we didn't move. Now I would have given a 4 star because the park is nice and has a fenced in dog park. You have to buy a laundry card, they don't have PayRange. We are only here for a couple of days so I can wait on laundry. read more

Sites are narrow, too narrow for opposing slides. Also too short. One large tree in the park and it's hanging over a road, low enough to drag on RV roof. Low block wall to separate from the hood. Hook ups are at rear of sites, too far away for some, me. Great in winter with a smaller RV I suppose. Great WiFi access. What a gem of an RV park in the Encore Resorts group of parks. The first person I encountered was the office manager who checked us in and told us to look at a site and see if it suits us--it did but she told us that we could choose another site should we choose to. (This was "off season" May so there were many sites to choose from. The sites are grave/concrete pads to park the rv on. Next are the two large pools and the hot tub. All were clean as were the showers. Never saw this at another RV park--soap dispenser in the shower! The pools were heated to the mid 80's and relaxing. Another great thing about this park is its location--1/2 mile from the main east - west artery Hwy. 111 that connects all cities from north of the Salton Sea to east of Palm Springs. We loved this highway because it was mostly three lanes and never heavy traffic and the views--Wow! Coming from the east coast--we're not used to all of the minicured and beautiful lanscaping that these areas provide. The parks, the roads, golf courses and most developments are simply beautiful with all the colorful desert plants and flowers. Don't forget to visit the Salton Sea State Park and learn its history; Sheild's Date Farm (been around since 1924 and it's on Hwy 111); Joshua Tree National Park from I-10 east of the RV park and take it until it ends at 29 Palms--continue west on that highway towards Palm Springs going through some kitchy towns towards Palm Springs. In Palm Springs take a ride on the Palm Springs Arial Tramway--one of two revolving (slowly) tramways--up to the top for a great view of the Palm Springs and the surrounding areas. On your way there, view some small kitchy towns as well as the largest solar and windmill farms we've ever seen. I needed to order a part for my motor coach and when I asked the front office if I could receive a FedEx package there--the manager said "Of Course!" as if this was the norm. I've been in other Thousand Trails parks that wanted $5.00 to accept a package for you!!! Our only regret was that we could only stay for 14 nights. Thanks for a great vacation. read more

We booked a two night reservation here through http://readycampgo.com However, that site did NOT disclose that this park is age-restricted (55+). That being said, we arrived with small children in tow, and the park was very accomodating. We didn't spend too much time actually in the park, so it wasn't a big deal. There is a family pool open 24 hours that is heated year round, and that helped the kids unwind after a few hours in the car. The sites aren't huge, but they accomodate large rigs and have 30 and 50 amp outlets, water, sewer, and cable. The staff is very friendly, even though we clearly did not "blend in" with the other campers! The single greatest offering of this RV park is its location. It is minutes to anything in the Palm Springs area. This park is also very clean and inviting. We would love to return, but it looks like we'll have to wait a few years! read more

I am a full time RVer and have stayed in almost a hundred RV parks. This RV park is not a resort. There is nothing that makes it a resort. It is small and most of the sites are filled with long term stays which gives some of the park a bit of a "run down" RV park. She was willing to try to ask her manager to see if this can be flexible a bit. Located this place due to modernism week having every spot in Palm Springs booked. I was happy with how clean the place was. I have a smaller rig 24' & a Jeep Wrangler I tow behind and it fit great. It was just the wife & I so it was perfect. The are seemed very nice and decent. The value was fair, everyone seemed nice. There weren't a lot of trees for shade. The kinda crammed a bunch of spaces in, but I was overall pretty happy, except! There security is pretty weak. Although there are so many people there apparently anyone can drive into the park and snoop around for whatever they can steel. I made the mistake of leaving my Jeep unlocked, unfortunately someone decide the items in my car would be better off in their possession, I woke up with my driver door ajar and cd's a small cooler & some sunglass cases were gone, the dummy left his/her flashlight in my car, prob had more value then what they stole. I've been in many rv parks this would rank upon the top value wise & based on how clean and efficient they were. But this security situation is an easy fix, add some gates that have to be accessed in & out with pass codes and this little issue would go away. Another guest said he seen a car with a few people sitting in it for about an hour, and he considered taking down their license plate, but figured maybe they were just checking in late, so he didn't. A note to the owners, stick a guard gate at the front pay someone minimum wage to secure the entrance, and guess what, no thief's will enter. read more

The RV park is clean. Not much shade from trees. Utility connections are near rear of RV SLABS. Two shower buildings. One is inside gated area and requires key for $25 deposit. The other is in RV parking section, but during our visit , all the shower stalls were being renovated and not available. Second vehicle parking is small. There is a good number of pull-through sites. It will be hot during summer and early fall season. Several miles off main freeway. Lots of commercial shopping nearby. read more

RV spaces are to close and not level had to block up front of motorhome 8" to get level. The noise from airplanes and the traffic is not great. The pools are good . If I hadn't paid for two night I would of left after one night. read more

We booked a two night stay to attend a firefighter softball tournament. At first, we were unsure as we arrived with three small kids to a 55+ community but; the experience was pleasant. The ladies in the office were wonderful and very welcoming . The residents were friendly and willing to strike up a conversation with the entire family. The place was clean and local to mostly everything. The sites are pretty tight but we really didn't mind since they accommodated our stay. The only recommendation would be to invest in a faster wifi system. In the future, during a slow weekend, we would definitely stay there again! read more

Palm Springs Oasis RV Resort - We have stayed at the "Oasis" for a total of 3 months. One month this year (Jan) and 2 months in 2011/12. Although the park is adequate it is barely so. The sites are very tight and our trailer is only 27'. The park seems to be sliding in many ways. There appears to be more full time residents who seem to be given a lot of latitude in the way their sites are kept. We appreciate the dog relieve areas but the one in the southwest corner by the washrooms has a live in with 2 larger dogs. At least one of the dogs is very aggressive and I would not put our dog in the same enclosed area with it. By far my biggest complaint is your Internet service - Tengoinernet. I cannot imagine any Rv park using this service. It is absolutely useless any where I have been. As I am sure you know good internet service is essential to most long term travellers. We do our banking, connect with family, etc, Because of this problem I have had to get a Verizon modem and use their service which costs $90 per month. Add that to the cost of staying at the "Oasis" and some of the more desirable RV parks become feasible. Noise was much worse this year both from adjoining trailers and traffic. This can be partly explained by the unseasonably warm weather but does illustrate the problem of sites so close together. There seemed to be no supervision by park staff of the sites. As you may have guessed we will not be staying here on our next visit to Palm Springs. We will keep an eye out to see if any improvements are made. read more

If you want to stay here come prepared. They have no propane, no TP, no ......thing. The sites are all back in and on a slope, and of course, no blocks for sale. Ever tried dumping uphill? Don't even think about going to this RV Park. The sites are small and close together. The staff was nice but management has a real problem with the homeless living under the bridge near the park. There is a full time resident that is giving out the bathroom codes and the homeless are using the facilities. On morning when my husband want to use the restroom there were 3 younger men in the restroom with suitcases and stuff was all over the place. One man was sitting on the sink area. Another guest asked them what space they were in and one man said "why are you hasseling me? I have permission to use this bathroom. The night before there was a homeless women in the bathroom near the pool taking a shower and management could not get her to leave. When she came out you could tell she was on drugs and walked right out of the park towards the bridge. Stuff has been stolen from the park and just a couple of weeks ago the swat team came in to arrest and evacuate some people in a motorhome by the remote bathroom that were making METH. Stay away from this place!!!! read more
