I ordered a pan-seared cod, which was cooked nicely, but grossly underseasoned. The bok choy was nice, and added a little texture to the dish, but no seasoning again, and the mashed potatoes were very rich and overly seasoned. Weird. I wouldn't be surprised if the three different components are prepared by three different people. At this point, we were bombarded with servers, clearing plates, asking us if we want dessert, another would come by, take an empty glass, ask us if we wanted dessert. Then we were visited by another one or two servers. So remind me why you can't place an order at the table?!! I'd try it again, but on a night with a pub special. I don't mind a lack of seasoning when I've paid $10 for a pub meal...

Better be a bloody unbelievable burger, but sadly the egg was overcooked, there was too much lettuce, and not enough burger. He ate 3/4 of it, but didn't say too much about it after that. I ordered bacon and eggs (see the pics). Supposedly with ciabatta, but was two tiny crusts of white bread. The bacon was underdone, like raw. Who can't cook bacon? I was still in diapers when I mastered a good bacon fry. It came with a little wedge of grilled tomato with the stem still on. Like an 8th of a tomato, for $14.50. $40+ for mediocrity.

At the time of this writing, it was $18 for adults, and kids under a certain age were free. It was basically the stuff you'd find at a good hotel breakfast bar, but it was all really fresh. They also pride themselves on using locally sourced ingredients as much as possible. We have also had lunch there, and I can vouch for some seriously delicious onion rings. And their ham is out of this world. At the risk of sounding a bit older than my years, I also appreciate the comfortable chairs with nice lumbar support which make it more enjoyable to sit back and finish your coffee while overlooking the birds at the sanctuary of Lake Apex right outside the windows. There's also a walking path around the lake which is a leisurely 15 minute walk. It's a nice stroll if you're not in a hurry. (Though depending on the time of the year, it can be a bit odourous as a result of all the birds that congregate there.) Selections are great, some usual ones, which is good, with lots of "different" choices as well.
