We had the best time out on the water today with CJ! My family did a 4 hour shark fishing charter and it exceeded our expectations and then some. CJ was very prepared from the get go (he'd already been out since 5am catching baitfish so he didn't have to spend our charter time doing so). We got out to the spot and within 10 minutes we hooked into our first shark. My son (whose idea it was to book the charter) was smiling ear to ear reeling that big fish into the boat. We caught 6 sharks altogether today, including two nine foot nurse sharks which were just monsters to reel in. CJ was great with my kids, coaching them just enough to make sure we landed the sharks but also gave them room to figure out the challenge and have fun doing it. He also made sure my 8 year old daughter got a chance to reel as well - she asked and he delivered! There was another boat about 100 yards away from us, and we could see they weren't catching anything, which I think is a testament to CJ's experience that we landed so many (on top of the 6 we landed, 4 threw the hook and got away). He asked us what we were interested in doing on our combo charter (for us, low-key fishing and lunch at a local restaurant we could boat to). Hunter is a great guide. He put us on the fish, and we caught twelve different species in our six-hour trip. He is patient, thoughtful and attentive. We had an amazing day shelling with Captain Hunter! The shelling on Cayo Costa was incredible! The boat ride was a pleasure and we had an experience our kids will never forget. He was an awesome Captain and even escorted us to Cabbage Key and made sure we had a great table at the infamous restaurant on the island. The highlight was Captain Hunter spotting many dolphins and giving us an our own private dolphin show - he was able to get them to ride along side the boat a couple of times and it was such a treat! We got to take home a ton of beautiful shells, lots of pictures and videos of dolphins, manatees, etc., and most importantly incredible memories for our family to cherish forever! Again, Endless Summer Charters is our GO TO for fishing. We were so happy to see they survived Ian! Captain CJ was awesome, he checked in with us before to see what type of inland fishing we were interested in and then took us where he knew we would have the best chance of catching some Red Snapper. Over the course of 4 hours we caught dozens of fish! The Captain was very knowledgeable about the area, safety and fishing regulations about breed, size and what could be kept for eating. He was patient and encouraging for those who had less fishing experience. Fantastic fishing tour with captain Matt. Five of us went out for a morning 4 hour trip including my kids (ages 10 and 8) and parents. These are beautiful venues and the boat was super clean. Matt had all the equipment set up before we arrived. After stopping by the causeway bridge to cast a net for live bait, we were off to fish around the mangroves and bays near Pine Island as the sun rose. Matt is a Sanibel native and skilled fisherman. I am sure even the most experienced and ambitious groups would leverage and value his knowledge and experience. However, I was probably most impressed that he got our goals for a family fishing trip. He did a beautiful job helping my girls and parents feel comfortable on the boat to enjoy the morning. Matt was working the entire time: baiting hooks, adjusting tackle, casting for the kids, helping me take photos of the kids with their fish. Had a great offshore fishing experience yesterday with my captain CJ. I was a first timer so CJ had his work cut out for him. He quickly made me feel comfortable explaining how to fish and how to bring them in when caught. I began fishing and catching various fish almost immediately. End of my 6 hour expedition I had caught over 40 fish and at least 9 different fish species. Kept 7 snappers which CJ cleaned, bagged, and put in ice. He recommended a local restaurant, Mud Dogs on Sanibel Island, who prepared later that evening providing a wonderful meal which I'll review separately. Awesome business, they went above and beyond to get us out on the water. We were fighting thunderstorms that caused us to have to reschedule our original trip. We ended up going out for a short trip the next evening and even with having to stay fairly close to the marina , because of more thunderstorms Captain Ethan put us on several fish. I have completed two charters with Endless Summer in Jan 2018; one with Capt Bill and one with Capt John. Both captains were personable, friendly, knowledgeable and skilled. Both trips were Near Shore / Inland Waters Fishing for Sheepshead, Redfish, Sea Trout and Snook. Was a little chilly in Jan 2018, but we caught keepers on both trips, which they filleted and bagged for me to take home. Would fish with these guys again any time. They are very professional and knowledgeable and their equipment and gear are all top notch. We were a little concerned about the red tide, but it did not seem to be an issue. We had a great afternoon with Capt John. The weather was a little windy so he knew some calmer coves that would hold fish & we would not be bounced around too much. Caught some keepers along with a ton of fish we threw back. Capt John was very patient with us since we have limited knowledge of this type of fishing. We had a great day out on Saturday with Captain Matt. The weather was perfect and our Captain kept the bait on the line and put us on all the right spots for some exciting fish action. Capt. Matt was very nice and fun to hang out with for the day but we were very disappointed to pay almost $700 and not catch fish. There were four of us on the charter and we caught two fish total. We had an amazing combo shelling trip and ecotour with Captain Matt and his buddy Philip. Both were very knowledgeable about the area and gave plenty of info along the way without being overbearing. My fiancee and four kids had what they later described as the best outing ever, and we have been to a lot of exotic places. We saw manatees, dolphins following and jumping in our wake, and lots of tropical birds. Cayo Costa was a beautiful beach and great for swimming and shelling, though there were a fair number of boats there over this Fourth of July weekend. Five of us went out again yesterday with Captain Bill from endless summer charter for a combo trip. One young lady was a first timer... Bill had her catching fish on the first cast. Everyone caught several trout and mackerel. The two young girls took largest fish honors with nice big trout. We also did some shelling, and he was able to get dolphins to follow our boat, jumping through the wake practically at arms length. Everything is first rate...
