However, upon arrival I presented my dental insurance "explanation of benefits" and previous receipts as there appeared to be a discrepancy, and dental offices always seem to estimate the customer payment portion when services are rendered. When I presented my question to the front desk attendant she immediately said the person that handles "that" is not here. But, she went on to increase the tone of her voice while attempting to explain the way billing works. I asked her not to raise her voice at me as I simply asked a question. (I was sure to be respectful in my tone and volume as I, too, work in the medical field and understand customers receive varying receipts and EOB's. Also, other customers were in the waiting area and could hear everything.) I simply had a question about my portion of the payment. Another employee standing to the right of the desk attendant heard this exchange and rolled her eyes. So, my only concern is for front area staff to routinely receive customer service training classes and be continually reminded by an office manager how to respond professionally to customers that pay hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars that eventually pay their salary. IMO poor customer service is what harms all businesses and especially the small business owner.

The doct did take several x-rays before doing a very expensive root canal. I have other root canals in the past but I had a lot of pain after this root canal. After going to my own dentist several times in the next 5 months and having to go to my family doctor and also pulmonologist because I kept getting sinus infection, ear infection, bronchitis, and a constant headache all on one side of my head I finally went to a different dentist only to find out the root on that tooth had crack the whole way down the side. My tooth had to be pulled. So much for that 3d x-ray machine.

    I was a patient for over 10 years and the quality of service has really gone down hill. Autumn from…read morethe from office should be fired. She is prejudice against people that she thinks does have insurance. I have insurance, but she didn't do her job until I got there. It took 48 minutes to finally verify that I had insurance. By then, it was time for the next patient. Autumn told me that they were not going to clean my teeth and that I had to leave. I drove 2 hours round trip for nothing. Autumn was rude, disrespectful, and talked down to me. She had a chip on her shoulder and a power trip. She should be fired immediately for how she treated me. I will never go back to this dentist office again because of Autumn. There are so many choices of dentists on Linglestowns Road that I don't need this one. I would not even give it one star. Actually it deserves zero stars because the customer service from the employees there is horrible. They are hiring low grade people that don't care about the clients. Autumn bullied and degraded me. She thought I didn't have insurance and treated me like I didn't deserve service. She literally told me to leave. She told the dental hygienist not to service me. She is a horrible person with a mean personality. She should not be working with customers. She is incompetent because I've always had insurance, but she didn't do her job correctly. She needs some customer service training. Also, she should do her job before the patient shows up instead of waiting till the last minute. Dr. Shirley and Dr. Ditty... you are hiring people that are giving your practice a horrible name. With all the competition around you, your employees should be giving top notch service to each and every client no matter what. The client is who pays your salary...just remember that. I tell everyone how horrible your place has gotten. I suggest you give your employees some training and fire employees like Autumn. I could go into detail how horrible Autumn was to me but it would take pages. AUTUMN NEEDS FIRED.
