Waited 4 months for estimates. Then the bills started coming. They claimed to have provided mowing and maintenance for two bare dirt lots with no grass to mow. Then they started sending undesirable people into my business to try and strong arm collections. When that didn't work they threatened a lien on the property and sent the bill to a low end collection service. They have billed me about $1000 now and provided no service. A "family" business. Last year turned into a nightmare. The great tech he had the year before had quit and the new tech caused considerable damage to my Hibiscus, Korean Spice Viburnum, Boston Ivy, Blue Rug Juniper. The tech sprayed the Hibiscus just as they were coming up but some survived. A tech sprayed them again as they were getting ready to bloom. The tech first lied about spraying them the second time abut finally confessed he had. The owner admitted his tech had sprayed the Hibiscus and acknowledged other spray damage. He was going to take care of it in the Spring when we could see what was permanent damage and what wasn't He has since reneged on that promise. I am sorry the owner did not make the effort to work this out like he said he would. I am even sorrier I paid for this mess. I spent $150.00 for an inspection and report from an ASCA Arborists last Fall. I took samples to both NW SEED & PET and the Spokane County Master Gardners WSU Extension and they came to the same conclusion Round-Up or like product which is used for weed control. Professional's that came to my house explained particle drift and vapor drift, high temperatures or even a slight breeze. Vapor drift is when a pesticide volatilizes or evaporates into the atmosphere and moves off site and damages non-target plants. There is a pattern of damaged healthy plants right next to where he sprayed for weeds. The spray caused the damage. He did not get experts or even take samples for testing. He had every opportunity to do this. I gave him permission to take samples but he chose not to. He removed a lot of dead debris from the Junipers and the dead Hibiscus Stalks last Summer right when it was all happening. That was his perfect chance to get expert opinions or testing. He hauled hauled away a lot of dead samples. Since neither of us knew the best solution to make this look better I suggested we hire an expert to provide us with the best solution. I had reported it to my insurance and they said the damage is not covered under my homeowners but his insurance should cover it. I asked him if he was licensed, bonded and insured. He said yes but has refused to give me any of that information. That is when his cooperation ended. He now trying to blame the damage junipers on bugs or disease. One of the reasons we used the Juniper is because it is resistant to bugs or disease "the Spruce" author David Beaulieu: Common Pests and Plant Diseases: "Blue rug juniper is not bothered by serious insect or disease problems." The pictures are just a small example of damage that was done. Concrete retaining wall shows before/after pictures of Boston Ivy. Korean Spice Viburnum red/green bush one sprayed the other one not. Healthy Hibiscus and dead Hibiscus after he sprayed them. Crawling Rug Juniper sprayed or caught in drift. +4

My family had Fred from Landsite Development come out this morning to provide a quote/estimate for…read morethe following projects that we would like to have done on our property:  1) 24 foot long wall that is 18 inches to 24 inches tall.  2) Removal of about 2,500 square feet of decorative river rock  3) Several sections of pavers that need to be repaired on a back patio as well as the filling in of a fire pit and covering of the former fire pit with pavers to match. 4) 40 foot paver pathway on a side yard Fred arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time, which was very much appreciated. After viewing the area of the first project, which would be the build of a wall a foot in from the property line, Fred refused to even provide a bid on that project because when he asked about bringing equipment onto our neighbors property we told him he would not be able to do so because although the neighbor who is the homeowner is okay he is renting a room in his garage to someone who is very difficult and we do not want to cause problems. We have had other construction type companies recently (as of September 2020) come onto our property to do work near the property line and when they've asked to bring equipment onto the neighbors property and we've told them "no" those companies have said "okay" and have just brought the equipment on to our property without issue instead. After not being willing to provide a bid on the first project, we showed him the next, which was the removal of river rock from the front yard. He said he would have to charge an hourly fee for that and because of that he refused to provide us an estimate on that project. On to the next project, which would be the repair of multiple sections of pavers that have caved in on two paver patios we have in the back as well as the filling in of an unused fire pit in the middle of one of the patios and installation of pavers to match. Fred looked at the two patios and said that they don't work on those projects and refused to provide an estimate/bid on that project.  After that, Fred didn't even take a look at the last project we needed done which was the installation of a 40 foot paver walkway. Even though Landsite Development's website states--and pictures of completed projects from other reviewers online serve to bolster--that they take on projects like the repair of paver patios, the building of walls, and the installation of paver walkways, when you try to get an estimate to get those projects done they claim that they do not do said projects.   Because of all of the above, I would not recommend anyone waste their time by contacting Landsite Development who needs paver patios repaired, paver walkways installed, walls built, and rocks removed. Our project would have been a larger project than any of the photos that I've seen online from other reviewers and we are very dismayed that we were refused an estimate.
