I came here to get my husband's wedding band engraved, and really appreciated the responsiveness. I called and they gave me a fair quote and it made the process really quick and efficient. I had a certain amount of time to run errands before my next meeting or conference call and was able to pop in and drop off the ring and write down what I wanted it to be inscribed. After looking online for engraved work anniversary gifts and finding a bunch of plastic and glass trophies, I knew I needed to get more creative. WAY more expensive compared to other places in the area! I wanted to get my initials and wedding date engraved on my husbands wedding band. They said they charge $5 per character, so it was going to be $60. Then when I needed it within 4 days they added on a rush fee, so my total quote was $70. They ask for at least a week with any jobs big or small. I went across the street and found a place to that met all of the above request for $10 total. They also did it on the spot while I waited. I came to Engrave Tech with a drinking glass that I wanted to get engraved for a Christmas present. I had a pretty complex design idea that wrapped around the entire glass, but Bashir was able to get it on the glass pretty nicely. He mentioned that there were some complications (broken engraving needles), partly due to the complex design and partly due to the glass (I had picked up some regular whiskey glasses from Bed, Bath, and Beyond which ran pretty cheap). The final product wasn't perfect upon closer inspection (namely, the end of the design overlapped with the beginning of it, although I never specified that it shouldn't, so that could partly be my fault), but overall it is a rather handsome Christmas gift. The task ended up being pretty expensive (over $100) due to him having to redesign what I wanted on the glass (if you have an Adobe Illustrator file of the design he said it would go a lot smoother), but more standard engraving, for example engraving letters/messages, seemed to be reasonably priced. He mentioned, if I recall correctly, that it was $3 per letter. Overall I had a good experience. Bashir is very friendly and very helpful. I brought in 4 glasses for him to play around with. He used all of the glasses because of the aforementioned complication, and bought me a new set since he had originally told me he would only need 2. He works rather fast too; I came in on a Friday and I told him that I would need it by about a week later. He was done on the following Tuesday. He generally seems to take a lot of pride in his work, and I think it really shows. read more
