I wanted a trophy that would spurn jealousy in all who gazed upon it and they delivered. I have a majestic 3+ foot tall trophy with a unicorn on top. Right there under Crown was Midwest Awards on New York St. I had passed their place hundreds of times before and had never paid attention to that they were there. Frantic, I called and spoke with Kathy and expressed my dire situation. This was Thursday morning, and I had to have this for Friday morning. She told me they were backed up but to pick 3 choices from their website and she'd squeeze me in. Immediately I sent my selections, and Midwest Awards actually had the very same piece Crown had and it was $7.00 CHEAPER OVERALL!!! I couldn't believe my ignorance. Later that day at 4pm Kathy called me back informing me that the award was ready for pick-up. It doesn't end here! There was an accident along the route on my way to pick the plaque up. I had been delayed 15 minutes and there was no way I was going to make it before they closed. As you can imagine, I was mortified. Without any other choice I called them again hoping to plead with them to wait for me. This time I spoke with Bob and I explained my dilemma. He just chuckled and said he had about another hours of work to complete and come any time. I finally showed up at 5:12 and was amazed at the variety of items they have in their showroom. It was like discovering a hidden gem. I am in a couple of clubs that get awards and I will be sure to advocate that they use Midwest Awards in the future.
