On the day of the service at 9:44am, I called my wife asking if Bob, the electrician, had shown up and he didn't. First I called my home warranty company about my electrician not showing up with the hope that they would contact the electrician which they did. My home warranty told me that they wanted me to call them directly and gave me the number so I did just that. When I did talk to Susan at 10:01am and asked where Bob was because I was thinking he would have been there between 8:30am to 9:00am she snapped back at me saying "I don't know where you got 8:30am from." Apparently, we had miscommunication due to the fact she claimed that it was a time window from 9am - 2pm or so. Keep in mind, my home warranty company had the time that they were supposed to show up on the 21st and it stated that it was 8:30am so I had every reason to think that they would be there by 8:30am or so but this wasn't a huge deal although I didn't appreciation the snarky attitude. She asked me if I still wanted Bob to show up and I said yes please. She told me that Bob would show up between 10am and noon.
I called my wife and informed her that he be coming between 10am and noon. Now, I will admit my wife didn't temporarily leave for Walmart and was gone for a very short while. Walmart isn't that far away and I did talk to my wife about the fact that she shouldn't have left when the electrician is coming. With that said, my mother-in-law and children were at the home. Bob showed up during this short time window when my wife wasn't there and in fairness to Enlighten Electric Company, LLC I did tell them that she would be there. With that said, I also did tell them exactly what the issue was so when my mother-in-law let Bob inside and he asked her what the issue was according to my mother-in-law she told him it was the microwave and then she went to the bathroom to pee. When she got out of the bathroom to pee Bob was already gone! My kids said that Bob touched the bottom outlet only but didn't even touch the outlet above the microwave nor did he plug in the microwave and turned it on to see if it was working. Bob, also didn't bother to check-in with my mother-in-law to make sure he actually did everything.
When my wife got home she tried to plug in the microwave to the bottom outlet and it would light up but when trying to heat something the microwave would turn off and the outlet stopped working again. I called Susan at 10:37am (keep in mind that it was only 36 minutes between the times I called Susan and Bob had shown up and left my house) and informed her that Bob didn't complete the job. She started with her snarky attitude again and told me said that Bob was there and he had to wait 10 minutes for my mother-in-law to answer the door (not true according to my mother-in-law) and that they fixed the oven to which I responded that the oven was not the problem. When I called them I was thinking that Susan would simply have asked Bob to go back to the home to actually fix the issue but she refused and insisted that the job was done. Keep in mind, we paid $125 for Bob to come out here and it was puzzling why Susan wanted to blame my family for the fact that Bob had to wait so long and that he didn't know what to fix. Susan, in my opinion should have informed Bob what was the issue since I told her in detail what the problem was. Bob should have also called me or at least Susan if he wasn't sure what the issue was but instead repaired something that didn't need to be repaired. I told Susan that I will call my home warranty about this and she responded like a little child that she will call them too and tell them exactly what was going on. I told her to "go ahead" and that I would be getting my money back. She said that I would not get a refund since Bob was over there and he fixed the issue.
I called my home warranty to let them know what the issue was with the company and they tried recalling them and asked if they would come back to actually repair what needed to be repaired. Susan, predictably, refused for Bob to come back to my home. read more
