I just attempted to cancel a $99 per month policy for my 78 year old neighbor with dementia, who I have been supporting over the past two years. The MEPCO rep refused to acknowledge my attempt and proceeded to re-sell the coverage and told my neighbor to tell me to shut up and stay out of it. Unbelievable. STEER AWAY FROM THIS BAND OF THIEVES!

I've asked for new quotes but I get a lot of "others are coming back higher" or "we're still waiting on another quote" and this year I got ignored completely while my phone calls never got returned. However my cancellation email was responded to in a timely manner. I went to another broker: over 40% off this year's renewal rate (felt so cheap we even added 10% coverage but we were under covered before). The only explanation I can come up with is they aren't into brokering condo insurance (anymore?) and they didn't care whether I stayed with them or paid an obscene rate.
