To pick up the car, you have to walk across to the garage, go up an elector, pick up the key by scanning the receipt QR code at the lockers, and then find the car. It would probably be a little confusing for some but easy enough for most. The car was super clean and worked perfectly for our trip! FYI, to pass into other countries, one must buy a vignette sticker at any gas station. Returning it was a breeze as well. Overall, a great experience-- would definitely boom with Sixt again in the future!

Even with a reservation, we waited 35 minutes in line. It was very disappointing.

This is of course insane, so I asked about their insurance which would have cost me 350 euros while the price of rental the car was 70 euros for the entire trip. Paying 5 times the price of the rental for insurance is unbelievable, so I declined it. I returned the car without any damage, but the person receiving it did a military style inspection on the wheels and body of the car. I've rented cars from six continents and never had anyone get on their hands and needs and perform an inspection like that. The person seemed disappointed when he couldn't find anything, it's like he was on a mission to charge me 1,000 euros.

The letter of evidence I brought from my gold card states only USD$50k insurance. They also tried to make a claim of a "mark" on the bumper. The rubber side from the suitcase rubbed on the bumper, so I explained to the guy it will rub off, and then took pictures until he backed off. I was lucky but if you don't take a pic of every part in front of them they will try to file a claim once you are back home. No argument (and don't try to get another car without a reservation from another company. You'll be walking). 4. You Must put a fat deductible on your credit even If you buy their insurance. 5. From October through March, if temperature is ever less than 44.6 degrees Fahrenheit you must pay 13 Euros ($15-16) additional per day for Winter Tires. Thrifty is the same. BEWARE.

The class of vehicle I reserved was not available so I was quickly offered options, even offered an upgrade. The return was even more efficient and quick. Note, in Europe, manual (standard) vehicles are the norm and not too many automatic vehicles are available. If able to drive a manual transmission, driving is enjoyable and relaxing as driving rules are adherently followed. The only issue is the cost of fuel, regular gasoline (petro) is ~$2/liter equating to close to $8/gallon, ouch. However, its worth the experience and Enterprise makes it happen. The Munich Airport is modern, making everthing relatively simple - signs are plentiful, and the cars are located on-site in the garage. As you exit/return the vehicle, it is scanned not needing to have anyone check you in or out. Like the driving, a relatively easy and pleasant experience.
