While I can honestly say that I did not expect a place like Bemidji to be on a list of "must see"…read moreplaces to go in the US, here we are. I devote a huge amount of that to our awesome hotel! To begin with the staff was amazing, they were so efficient and kind. The breakfast spread was amazing, also coffee and tea around the clock (excellent cup of coffee might I add, not that weak stuff). Beyond that the amenities were everything we wanted and didn't know we'd be getting. Biking around the lake at sunset, watching the sun go down from the hot tub, and just an overall sense of ease relaxing in front of the fireplace. The king room was so comfortable and quiet, and the bedding was so soft! If you find yourself in this corner of the world check this place out.

When I showed the front desk my reservation, he pointed out it was for September! They didn't have any rooms available for the night we were in town. They refuse to refund even a cent of the $93.60 that was charged. They are taking full price for a room they know won't get used, and have two months to rectify and discharge the reservation. This is my second awful experience with Super 8 by Wyndham (the other was in Grand Junction, CO), and I will no longer stay at any Wyndham properties. Buyer beware!

I was glad that despite arriving after midnight due to thunderstorms and flooding in the area, I was able to get checked in relatively quickly. The layout was a bit confusing with breakfast in a side hallway and disconnected buildings, but my room was comfortable, so I couldn't complain. Not bad for the price paid.

We were in a room right next to the breakfast area and laundry, but surprisingly we did not hear a thing in the morning. The place is built solid. We did not take advantage of the breakfast but did enjoy the fitness room and pool/spa. They also have different simple entree sandwiches in the evening, which is nice, but we went out to dinner. You're not paying for luxury linens and high-end spa products, but you are paying for clean, quiet rooms and great hospitality. Everyone at the front desk is so helpful and friendly. Especially enjoyed the friendly service from Tabi.

This review is for an issue my wife had a with the front desk lady - Angie…read more My wife was staying at the hotel for last 3 weeks or so for work assignments. And her stay got extended for another 2 weeks. Entire booking was done by an agent through the employer. This morning she went to reactivate the keys for the next 2 weeks. The lady at the front desk was very rude & unprofessional towards my wife and mentioned that my wife was not supposed to have complimentary breakfast. It was their fault because it was given to her when she checked in. Angie's behavior was as if my wife intentionally went for this lavish breakfast (believe me it's not). It was not her fault. It was their fault. Instead of apologizing for the mistake she gave attitude towards my wife. This is not acceptable. People in Bemidji are extremely nice towards foreigners. But this incident just threw us off. Most of the staff were very nice towards my wife. Next guest please make sure to check the name tag of this unprofessional employee at this hotel. If she doesn't know how to handle customers in a polite professional way, then she should find another profession which doesn't include customer service. Typical Karen attitude on a weekend.
