My car insurance arranged a rental through this location. The staff was friendly, courteous, and helped me get a really nice rental for the week. They were also kind enough to pick me up when I needed it. Minus a star for the gas tank not being completely full when they told me it was (there's no way I drove 4 gallons worth of gas going to and from work in Ann Arbor over only 3 days) and for it not being freshly washed. Those little touches really make a difference!

After being screwed over by U-Haul, I made a few calls to find a Budget truck. Waaaay better…read morechoice. They'd let me pick where I wanted to pick it up (U-haul tried to send me to Monroe) and where I wanted to return it (U-Haul wanted it to be returned wherever THEY decided they needed a truck that day). Northside rental had a truck for me. The rental agent was helpful, although I'm not sure I needed the extra insurance coverage he was pushing. Unfortunately my agent was closed on the weekend so I had to bite the bullet and take it. If you're going to rent a truck, make sure to call your car insurance to see if truck rental will be covered. My truck was in good shape & made it to Chicago with no problem. It would have been nice if they'd swept out the back of the truck before giving it to me though, it was pretty dusty/dirty & there was broken glass in it. Heck, after my experience with U-Haul I didn't mind a little broken glass - I was happy to have a truck!! BOTTOM LINE: Budget truck rental may be a little more expensive but you can select where you pick up and drop off the truck which makes it a WAY superior choice to U-Haul.

I got a really great quality 16-foot truck with a nice powered lift in the back. Then when I called for the bill, I found out that they charged me less than I expected! Next time I need a truck, I will use them.
