We were catered to from the first phone call. They even made a birthday dinner/cake and joined the celebration. Will took extra care to make sure everyone in our party was engaged, the interns and Will made sure the horse experience was appropriate, fun and informative for our kids including our 6 year old with a prosthetic leg. The kithen and ranch staff are friendly and efficient and more concerned with our comfort than the staff at 5 star resorts! Lodging is rustic, food is simple, so if you want a taste of country life....this is Green Acres!

It holds the standard that most HIEs are supposed to hold. It's just starting to show its age, but it is still a comfortable hotel. The room kept a comfortable temperature, the bed was OK, but not great, and the water pressure was fine. The hotel is always clean. The internet connection was acceptable, but a bit spotty if you are trying to stream any video. The pool seems to always be closed, and while that doesn't matter much to me, it could be important to others. Service has always been good. Not great, but just above "OK".

The clerk gave a lame excuse about people still having to check in later and did not even look. You could tell she did not want to bother. As I guessed the place was practically empty. In the early morning there were less than 20 cars in the parking lot. I complained to the front desk in the morning and they apologized since I am pretty sure I was right about availability of bigger rooms for an upgrade. Anyway the hotel is newer and the room and bath were in good shape though the sound traveled through the walls quite easily. This was the third Fairfield Inn stay on this trip with all of them being newer and this one was the first where the walls seemed thin. Also another Marriott property where there were no easy to access outlets bedside! The breakfast was typical for a FI and the nightly rate was reasonable but they need to do some coaching of their front desk help!

The place was clean and the staff was polite. I like that they had a snack bar in the lobby. The lady that ran the breakfast bar was really sweet and let me come get some food even after she had closed down. The big reason I'm so impressed with this place is that I left behind one of my favorite shirts. When housekeeping found it, they had Stacey at the front desk call me about it. I was already on the road to another town but we arranged for a co-worker to stop by and pick it up for me. Most staff would have kept it or just thrown it away.
