They…read moretold us they could feel the steel belt inside the tire and suggested we come down and have it looked at. They took it off and showed us the tire. It was awful. I can't believe that Budget would have allowed us to travel with a tire in that condition. The tire company told us we should not travel with that tire on the car so we paid, out of our own pocket, for a new tire after we let Budget know about the issue. ( We were on a deadline and running way behind because of the flat tire). Budget said to keep the tire, which we did. When we returned, we took the tire in and they refused to pay the entire bill. They wouldn't pay for the tire company to come out and air up the tire. The scariest part is that they are allowing vehicles that shouldn't be on the road to be used. I can only imagine if it blew while we were on the interstate. I'll never use Budget again. I will say, after my boyfriend made a second call to the corporate office, they agreed to pay the full amount. Also, the lady at the Hutchinson Budget Rental was very kind. Apologized wholeheartedly and told her boss ( we were there when she talked to them) that the tire needed replaced.

Their website said we could save 35% to book online so we did, but never received the 35% discount. After a call to customer service they told us they didn't know what that 35% discount was actually for because no one ever got it. We show up to get the car a couple days later and we are told that since we used a debit card we needed proof of residence. Not an issue we thought since we have lots of bills including our house payment. Not good enough. It HAS to be a utility bill. So we had to drive clear back home to get a utility bill. We switched to all electronic billing for our utilities a few months ago so our most recent paper bill is a few months old. Not good enough, they refused it. So we had to drive clear back home for the 2nd time and print a bill off the gas service's website. Showing them proof on our phone wasn't good enough. Total nightmare and the money we spent on fuel driving home and back canceled out any savings we might have gotten by using Budget. Enterprise is half a block down the street, I recommend you use them instead.

She was not apologetic or understanding and became very rude and threatened to call the cops when I was trying to explain my side to her. Very poor customer service. She kept bragging about the value of the car they rented and belittling me because of a balance forward on my electric bill. She refused to help after telling me that I could use something else. She lied and was extremely rude and acted like I was not worthy of renting from them.

Took it to Conklin Cars for the "oil leak" that wasn't supposed to be there. Anyway he tried to jab me with a $575.00 dollar charge for a muffler and a gasket. Said he'd take $100.00 off for "cash". Wish my pension check came in "cash'. Don't know why I chose this shop. Conklin has treated me right and that's where I'll go from now on.

After some minor paint damage happened to my car, I took it to Dacus for an estimate. They…read moreperformed the estimate and sent it to me, and then I provided it to my insurance company - all good so far. After insurance processed it, we received a check for $500 less than what the claim had been. I called the insurance company to ask why this was, and they said that Dacus had agreed to do the work for the lower price, so with my deductible and the check they had sent I would be good to go. I called Dacus to schedule to work, however they surprised me: They said they didn't care what they had agreed to with the insurance company, they would be charging me the full price on the original estimate, and probably more, and I would just have to eat what insurance didn't cover. Thankfully, I called my insurance and was able that check voided (it was addressed to the body shop), and found another body shop that agreed to do the work at the price that Dacus had agreed to do it for before they tried to make me pay the original estimate price out of pocket. The insurance company had the documentation that Dacus had agreed to do the work for that lower price, email trail and everything, so Dacus apparently thought they would just agree to the lower price and then get some extra money on top out of me. No thanks.
