I am very happy to be writing this next review of this Enterprise location. If you read my other Feb 2018 review, you read about my problems not getting a callback from the manager after leaving my favorite coffee mug in the car and the rude staff preventing us from transferring bags to the rental car in the back. After such a disappointing experience (this has always been my go-to rental location) I canceled all my future rentals for the year and moved them to the Waterloo location. After the female manager in Kitchener seemed not to care much about my experience, I contacted Enterprise on Twitter. I was surprised to find I was messaged almost immediately. Customer service is a dying art and I've come to expect disinterest and a lack of care, which makes me move on to another company without another word. Companies need to be mindful that we customers do have choices where we spend our hard-earned money. Enterprise REALLY did it right. Keegan, the district manager for the Kitchener area, got involved and I was so impressed by the way he handled the situation. He addressed the situation during which we were repeatedly asked to move so that we couldn't even take a few minutes to transfer bags and set up the phone. He assured me that kind of thing would never happen again. He also went above and beyond and called to make sure he tracked down the person who rented the car I'd taken to Louisiana. I'd been told by the other manager she simply couldn't find my mug. Well, Keegan and Megan (store employee) tracked it down, and my favorite, battle-scarred mug is now beside me on the couch :). Keegan even discounted my rental the week following by half! I was very happy. The rental itself went seamlessly. The staff was so friendly, especially Megan. We chatted about books and she provided excellent service. Give that girl a raise! I was provided a black Jetta, which got me to Nashville and back home again safely, even through an ice-storm in New York on the way down. The car had a huge trunk (I had luggage for my sister and niece who went with me) and got great gas mileage. When I dropped the car off, Megan was there again. This was on the 27th of February. There was another young man there, but I, sadly, didn't get his name. Both he and Megan were again so super friendly and helpful. They returned my coffee mug and seemed just as happy as I was that it had been found. They both apologized again for the unfortunate incident in the back for the other rental and my love for this location returned. I travel several times a year for signings, and 2529 King Street always felt like a piece of the tradition. I also use Enterprise for times when my husband needs the one car we share. I promptly returned home and rebooked all my travel for the year with this location. I'm so happy the problems were ironed out and recommend them highly. I know now ever experience goes smoothly, but when a business tries their best to address the problem it makes such a difference. This group definitely earns the respect of this customer! read more

The fellow was great but the woman was terrible. He put me through as i was wondering how much an economy car would be for a day .the young lady right away was saying i need your information ,name which is fine if i was over 25 and i said yes. But then she thought it would ok to ask me for my credit card info and how i was paying and continued to be rude when i politely asked for how much a car would be that's all i wanted to know. I wasn't was renting it. you have to talk with a virtual person first and give information. All i wanted to do was talk with a person to see how much it would cost for day. My daughter had rented a car a few months ago off them but smartly did it online. I will not recommend them at least not the woman who was rude and should not be in customer service. read more

After many flight delays, Hailey and the team at Enterprise saved my day by keeping in touch to let me know they would still meet us at the airport (she even stayed late). I was in an accident and waiting on approval for a rental from CAA but needed a car in the meantime so I got one myself and the experience with this location has been crazy. To start off I made an appointment and was contacted by the location and confirmed a time just to get there and have to wait 45 minutes at an empty desk. Then after being told they had a lot of premium cars, i got there 17 minutes after speaking to the representative just to see 1 on the lot and it needed an oil change. I was told that I MIGHT have to take time out of my day to bring it to a shop rather then them just dropping off another premium car the next day to exchange like other enterprises I've used before if there was ever an issue with the car. On my way home from the enterprise i hit the highway and when i started braking the whole front of the car started to shake. So not only did the car need an oil change but it also needs the brakes done. When i went in after work the following day, after explaining the situation the only solution was to take a lesser smaller car that i wouldnt fit into comfortablity or to take it to their shop on my lunch (since i work long hours during the day). Since I didnt like the lesser option and they refused to simply upgrade me to the luxury vehicle on their lot, i planned to bring the car back another day hopeing they would have another premium car available. I came back 2 days later after work because i called and they had another premium car and when i got there they said there was no more and when i said i called, they said they dont hold cars and that its first come first serve. There was a luxury car and the woman at the front desk said that she'd upgrade me for the inconvience and then her coworker (guy i dealt with the first time) said he cant do that and when i asked why, he said it was on hold for someone so i explained that i was told on the phone and by his co worker that you guys dont do that but he just said hes sorry but that one was spoken for and theres no other premiums and the benz in there lot isn't theirs but parked with the other cars. 2 days later i was approved by CAA and went in to trade cars and craziness with this place got to an all time high, so bad that i had to start recording the interaction. I came in to pick up the intermitten (or however you spell it) car that CAA booked and when i went in the front desk person again offered me the oppertunity to upgrade by keeping the premium for the days covered by CAA, then again was interupted this time by the manager and being now told that they cant do that and that the person who made the offer was new and shouldnt have made the offer then to add to the madness topped it off with if i took the covered car for the last 2 days then theyd have to bill me an extra 2 days until the long weekend is over because i cant drop the car off on sunday due to a higher chance of the car being stolen but if i was to keep the premium car im paying out of pocket for then i could drop it off sunday!!!!!!! I argued and even got CAA to talk to the manger and he stood on business not letting me drop the covered car off sunday and that he still wont let me keep the premium car if i took the new extended covered terms and canceled the contract terms im paying for. Arguing the clear lack of courtesy did nothing but upset the manager and which he began to raise his voice and even seemed to take it out on another customer while i was on hold with the CAA representative that was talking to her supervisor about what can be done. Will not be renting from enterprise anymore and highly dont advice going to this location. read more

Often needing a US plated vehicle to travel back to the States, the team here at Enterprise ALWAYS tries to find a car for me even when one isn't on their lot. Megan and others, go way above and beyond to help me. Total pros! The manager is a hands on person. Runs a very tight "ship." Plenty of rental cars locally but I call her first, bypassing all others. read more

Best Car rental company in the world seriously... their weekend deal is unbeatable I dont even know how they make money. On top of that they even pick you up. Unreal.. I've been using Enterprises car rental service every weekend and it doesnt cost me more then 40 bucks. Its ridiculously cheap and the service is awesome and the cars are reliable. I rent a car from them for long distance driving on a monthly basis. This location has courteous staff and a good selection of vehicles.

Customer Service Sucks. Needed a car due to auto accident so insurance company told me to deal with enterprise. Called the king st Kitchener Branch and was told they had a suv for me and would pick me up in 45 minutes. Well waited over 2 hours and called back and they were closed so I called head office and discussed situation. They told me they sent out a direct emergency message to the regional manager and he would call me very soon and discuss the situation and get me my car. Well surprise no call back and have decided to contact my insurance company and get vehicle from another rental car company. A company that might care about their customer. Ken Crozier read more

I do not rent vehicles very often, but my recent experience at Enterprise in Kitchener was super, including the pick up at my home. The customer service was great, although I'm not sure why I was asked to return the vehicle to the Waterloo location which is twice as far from my home... but whatever. The staff at the Waterloo location was also very courteous and provided me with a ride back to Kitchener. Still a good experience overall, and I would definitely use Enterprise again. read more

This rental location specifically goes above and beyond. The team is courteous, engaging and hilarious. From front desk to drop off at home, they are a wonderfully professional crew. I would not consider renting anywhere else because the service is unbeatable. read more
