AWFUL AND DISHONEST!
My first rental experience, my first experience in Ireland, and it ended up being a nightmare. I took EXCELLENT care of my rental car, and 2 hours before I was meant to return it, someone slammed into the back of it while it was PARKED at the address I provided to Enterprise. Other cars were parked there, and it was well out of the way of traffic. Long story short, the person who hit my rental was in a UK registered vehicle, so they fled the scene and someone else arrived to take the fall in an EU registered vehicle. This person also went to Enterprise and admitted liability. GUESS WHO HAD TO PAY FOR THE DAMAGES. THAT'S RIGHT, ME! The woman who lied about hitting my car also admitted liability to the guards, who did nothing about it. They said it was at the mercy of the Enterprise "policy" and it doesn't fall under law enforcement. The manager of Enterprise DID NOT file a report about the incident, even though SHE KNOWS WE DID NOT DAMAGE THE CAR. She tells us it is "out of her hands." I don't even know what that means. Who's hands did it go to? Why are we being persecuted for something we didn't do? Is there no justice?! Something REALLY fishy going on at this place. While I was paying for someone else's mistake, another Enterprise customer overheard my story and LITERALLY KNEW WHO DID IT. When he blurted that out, the manager shot him a deadly look. I'm no conspiracy theorist, but this is too weird. OH! And there is a witness to the whole thing...a neighbor saw the collision! The guards were all set to investigate until they spoke to the manager of Enterprise, then suddenly the case gets dropped. WEIRD, RIGHT? At this point, it isn't even about the money to me. I have researched Enterprise, and there are legitimately THOUSANDS of people who claim to have been scammed by them in hundreds of different ways. One article even called it "a business within a business." It is DISGUSTING that they are letting me take the fall for something they know I did not do. Nobody cares. Nobody is accountable. I do not like to inconvenience people, and I am not looking for my 15-seconds. THIS IS MESSED UP, AND GROSSLY UNFAIR. People need to know about it, because someone is going to get scammed and their bank account drained and they won't be able to make it home. DO NOT RENT WITH ENTERPRISE!
