Worst car rental place EVER! Even if you're in the Los Banos area, and this is the only car rental place in the area, please go to Merced. Spend the extra hour and drive to Merced. They discriminate against homelessness/jokes. I am currently going through a struggle right now this past week, a rough patch, which I explained to Omar (the store manager); and he wanted EVERY document from me. The pge bill, the water bill, unnecessary stuff that he did not ask from any other customers besides me and this other homeless guy. Everyone else went in and out quick. I said a joke about couch hopping and he automatically admits that he was being discriminatory because he said "what if we need the car and your not at your house what do I do" like dude, I'm a nurse, I have 700$ to put down to rent a car that I freaking worked HARD for. I paid my friend to drop me off to work all the way in the Bay Area. Yet I told Omar this, and he didn't give af! I cried and yelled and was angry and everything because he had wasted 4 hours of my time that I could have been at work, and already making up his mind that he wasn't going to give me the car. I actually didn't end up getting the car, I refused to. I called enterprise corporate and complained and I do plan on filing a lawsuit. My hardworking mom rented a car from this place after her car broke down. She had NO issues. Legit my mom is the best driver I've ever known, the car was in top notch shape and she didn't get into any fender benders or go through sketchy roading. This horrible place is accusing her of damaging the car, they claim that the front was damaged when she returned the car back just how they gave it to her. She didn't even get a report of the car so there's no way to prove it was there when given. Pretty scummy of a company to do this to a hardworking person. I am writing in response to a rental I recently completed with Enterprise (Los Banos, CA). I rented a car at the Los Banos, CA location after a sever breakdown in my personal vehicle while traveling away from home. Two days into the rental, a dashboard light came on indicating that the car needed service, and that I should return the car to the dealer immediately. I called the Los Banos, CA office informing them of the dashboard indicator, but was told that it was not accurate and that all scheduled maintenance on this vehicle is conducted via Enterprise scehduling software. I continued driving the car. Several days later, I caught a screw in the front right tire and I took it to Am#$%@!@ Discount Tire to have it repaired. Upon inspection, I was informed that all four tires were below legal tread wear, and that the front tires were further worn than the rear (indicating that the tires were not regularly rotated...clearly the statement that all maintenance was done according to an Enterprise software system was not true). All four tires were illegal to operate according to CA State laws. I decided to return the car early because I was so irate. I brought the above issue to the attention of the return counter in Los Banos, CA and expressed my strong belief that NO CUSTOMER should be given a dangerous car. I was told they were sorry, but it felt as if my concern was not taken seriously. The operation of any office I understand may be specific to that location, but as a nationally recognized company, the public sees each location as one singular organization. I was floored about how I was treated and about how unconcerned the Los Banos, CA office seemed. No-one would have their safety compromised due to a lack of attention and a failure to put client health and safety first. read more

If I could give this place NO Stars I would. There is a person who works here who should never be allowed to work in any customer service job, Diana. How are they still working there after all of their terrible reviews!? They have No people skills! We broke down on the 5 fwy and AAA came to help. Seemed like we needed a new battery and starter but they were not sure. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids and we were stranded near Los Banos on our way home from Tahoe to LA. We barely escaped the serious snow storm getting to this point, we had to leave a day early to avoid the worst of it. Now we were in freezing rain and in the middle of our journey. The AAA guys were so nice and helpful. They recommended that we make a reservation for an Enterprise car in case we needed to leave our car there and get home in a rental. So I called and made a reservation over the phone for a SUV. I gave the person 2 phone numbers so that she could find me in the system since I had rented from Enterprise before. She could not find me but made the reservation anyway for the SUV she said was available. We needed enough room for the 4 of us and all of our luggage. We picked the appropriate sized car. Since AAA said that Enterprise closed at 5:00 we needed to hurry and get the car. We decided that my husband and the kids would wait for the flat bed tow truck while another AAA driver was kind enough to take me to Enterprise. I would get the car and meet my family at the auto place where they were going. Here is where the whole trip became unbelievable. As soon as I walk into that place and speak to Diana, she says "I called you to tell you that we do not have that car", I ask what number did you call? She called my home number. (Well I am not there.) She did not bother to call the cell number as well. So then she tells me what she does have. I am wondering why did I make a reservation? What good is a reservation? I tell her we are stranded and we need a car big enough for the 4 of us and all of our luggage. (We are traveling with a roof top luggage carrier and we have stuff in the trunk). She offers a van. I say ok. She then says that it will cost quite a bit more. I am thinking what a scam, reserve a car, agree on the price, get there and then they screw you and make you pay more. No accommodation for their error of reserving a car that was not available. What a racket! As she is entering my information she sees that I am holding my bank card with a Visa logo. She asks, Is that a debit card? I say yes, but it is also a credit card. She says she won't take it, it must be an actual credit card. I ask her if she can take cash and show her a fat stack of 20's. She says they don't take cash. I tell her we are stranded with 2 kids trying to get home and ask if they can make an exception. She says NO! I ask her if she could reach out to her manager for approval. She is reluctant. She says he didn't answer the phone so she says that she is texting him and he doesn't answer. She tells me they close at 5:00 and it is nearly that time. It does not seem like she cares about helping out a stranded family at all. I am not even sure if she tried to reach her manager. Her attitude was the worst! She was extremely rude and not at all willing to help. She had no compassion and was extremely mean. She stopped entering my information and walked away. I didn't know what to do. I was alone, stranded in an unfamiliar place, away from my family and without a credit card to satisfy this power hungry woman. I call my husband. He and the kids are getting the car loaded onto a flatbed. He says to me, why don't you have a credit card on you? I lost it, I started crying hysterically in the Enterprise office. The clock was inching to 5:00. He asks to speak to the evil woman. He asks Diana if he can give her his credit card number over the phone. She says NO, you must be present. He asks his tow truck driver if they can make a stop at Enterprise so we can fix this issue. The tow truck driver agrees. My husband tells her that they will come by but they may not make it by 5:00. He tells her that he will tip $100.00 to stay 15 minutes past 5:00. She says NO! This tow truck driver was going as fast as he could to Enterprise. I sat there crying in the Enterprise lobby, not knowing what this stormy night had in store for this stranded family. I got up to use the restroom before Diana would kick me out into the cold. When I came out of the restroom there was Diana waiting to tell me "it's 5:00 and we are closed". I just said I get it and walked out the door only to stand in front of it outside, alone in the cold, without my jacket, waiting for this awesome tow truck driver to save me. The tow truck pulled up at 5:10. I only had to wait 10 minutes. Thankfully AAA has decent, compassionate people who work for them. I wonder how Diana slept that night. Did she even care? read more

Bad customer service with Diana she needs to be educated on customer service and how to approach situations and or find an alternative method. She looked evil when I told her I was calling corporate her responds was go right ahead n which I did the lady in St Louis stated the town is small n basically it's hurting business she was going to send an email to the appropriate person to give me a call. I decided not to spend my money there when she gave me attitude I figured out a solution she then told me I never rented a car from enterprise in Merced in which I have that's when I decided to go to HERTZ in Los Banos so thank you Diane for allowing another company to take business away from you!!!! Los Banos location is not even worth leaving a star rating but had to at least put 1 or I couldn't post my review. We called mid morning and made reservations to pick up car rental at 2 pm and at 1:48 pm we received a phone call from Dianna at this office advising they had no cars available. She was EXTREMELY RUDE and didn't even offer to see what she could do to help us. I called this office because the rental car we picked up in So Cal this morning broke down in the middle of nowhere on the 5. They said they couldn't help, had no cars. Called Enterprise roadside assistance, they said los Banos HAD to provide us a car, BUT we had to be there by 5pm. We weren't going to get there til 5:05. I believe the order was put in and they just didn't want to help us. I called starting at 5:50 thinking I could ask maybe tip them $20 to stay open til we got there in 5 minutes. FIVE MINUTES. They kept me on hold until 5 then hung up. So their rudeness and poor service cost us 2 hours at a minimum and a very long Uber ride to San Jose Airport! Would've been great to find something to sight see instead. The lemon car is a Ford Ecostar which is truly awful, rough, and unresponsive and not great mpg! At the end of this disaster we realized we had no brakes at all and used parking brake to coast to a the office! read more

Diana is seriously the worst person I have EVER DEALT WITH!!!! I went in to drop off the rental for my dad whom was picking up his car from the shop. The receptionist at the shop suggested to drop off the rental first since they close right at 5. She even called them when I got there to make them aware I was on my way. When I show up she was just standing at her computer, didn't even acknowledge me when I walked in!! When I told her I was dropping off my rental and that the shop was on the line trying to give her a heads up she rolled her eyes and said they can wait. What a terrible experience at this branch, I don't know how Dianna still working at this place with so many complaints. Shes full of hatred and takes it on the customers. I told her bc of my surgery I needed a more comfy car, and while rolling her eyes she said "wow, that's a first one for me" , i said a first what? She said it was the first time she was told her cars were uncomfortable. I said "that's not what I said, I said that due to my condition the car I rented was not working for me. Called to reserve a car to drive home (350 miles) because our vehicle broke down. Made the reservation over the phone and was told it would be ready by 4:30, also received an email confirmation of the reservation. Showed up to the location at 4:40 to find out that there were no vehicles available even though I had the email confirmation and it showed on the lady's computer. She told me there was nothing she could do that I should try another company...needless to say..I had 10 minutes to call the other company before they closed. I had just been in a car accident near Los Baños, about a five hours drive from where I live. The car was totalled. I had no clue how I was going to get home. I stumbled upon this Enterprise location and was given some of the best service I have ever had. Diana (didn't get a last name) went out of her way to make sure all of my needs were met and was one of the most polite and accommodating people I have ever met. One of the worst customer service experiences in my life.... I was in an accident and my insurance company had already made a reservation for me, so I show up the next morning, at 8:05, and the doors are still locked. someone comes to unlock them, and says someone will come help me shortly. A man comes out from the back and tells me he woke up late... OK, it happens.. Then he gets my information and sees I have a reservation, but tells me they have absolutely no cars to give me. and probably won't until about 4:00 pm. Wow, okay, so I'll wait. I give him my cell number and leave, and around 10:00 am, my dad tells me to keep calling back to check if they have anything because he's had some bad experiences with them in the past. I call at 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, no answer....no answering machine. Finally, I hear from my insurance company at about 1:30, and I tell them I still don't have a rental car. somehow, they manage to get through to someone at Enterprise, and they call me back. They tell me someone will go to Fresno and pick up a vw bug to bring back for me... they say they'll pick me up around 4. oh, and they have construction going on so that's why their phones weren't working. or they were on their lunch break. (for 3 hours? okay...) 4 pm comes and goes, and I haven't heard anything, so I call back at 4:15. The girl I talk to says that volkswagen never came back, but by some miracle they have a dodge charger. it's the only available car. I race over there to grab it before they can give it away to someone else (or before they close and I still have no car to drive home in). I get the car, and realize it's dirty, there's spilled coffee inside the car, and there's less than a quarter tank of gas. Ok, whatever...I put gas in, clean it myself and drive it home, just thankful not to be stuck in los banos an extra day ( I live over two hours away...) Bottom line- these people do not act like they want or need or appreciate your business, and will absolutely not try to earn it. My advice- spend the few extra bucks and head down the street to the ford dealership. they do rentals through hertz vehicles. read more

What a joke. I have given this place so much business and I always wonder why. People aren't kidding when they say that this place never has cars. I have constantly had this issue with them. Don't bother making a reservation online, they don't mean anything at the Enterprise in Los Banos. After an incident with my husband driving got the car impounded, I was quick to make sure everything was taken care of. Enterprise didn't care to keep me in the loop or respond to me for days when I asked about my garage door opener. Nope, not important to them. I told them to keep me informed about anything regarding the impound or any fees that would need to be paid, that I would be happy to take care of them, just let me know. OF COURSE THEY DIDNT. It took me checking my bank statement randomly to notice that they took money out of my account, without notifying me. I tried to rent a car from them recently, so they told me they would be in touch. It took me calling back for them to tell me they can't rent to me because of the incident with my husband. Seriously, get it together, Enterprise! You have no problem taking my money, so at least keep me informed and be upfront. If you have a problem with renting a car out to someone, tell them. I dropped my car here rather than at merced. Staff was excellent,nice, and went beyond customer service. Even tho it was almost closing time they were nice enough to drop me home. I have used Enterprise before here in Los Banos & found good service & value. I found the staff very friendly & helpful. Their car selection offered me many options. I rented '14 ford fusion. Sunroof, sirrius radio, leather, clean with low miles. Good service & a nice car. I felt I had a great rental car experience from start to finish, & will use enterprise in the future. read more
