So we use the restrooms here every time we pass through fr the bay to so cal. It's a gorgeous property. Restrooms are always very clean.
We stopped here for the night and frankly we where pleasantly surprised. This is not your typical hotel. The lobby and hallways are filled with western art and there's even a wine museum onsite. I think we were more impressed with their outside courtyard which is vast. As you walk around you get a real sense of how much effort and thought they put into the landscape. You'll also notice in the back two large indoor greenhouses where they grow many of their own vegetables for their restaurant. This is a must see... We went to their restaurant for dinner and breakfast. I would suggest you try at least once during your stay. Adjacent to the restaurant is the Lounge; which is a very nice bar where you can have a drink, relax and socialize. Our room was clean and and for what you get I think they're reasonably priced.
The accommodations here are reasonably comfortable, clean, and decent. There are a few provisos however, which made my stay less than ideal. I arrived at 8 PM on Sunday night. Despite there being nobody around, I was required to wait more than 10 minutes while the receptionist Renee had a lovely heart to heart chat with someone on the phone. Even though there was no reason to do that because I arrived before the phone call happened. I was then given a room with nice view of the parking lot thought the hotel was empty. The rooms are on the small side but freshly renovated. It was really like a glorified Motel 6 room. Not much sound proofing and I was glad I remembered earplugs. Overall the place seemed nice enough, especially for its location. It worked for what I needed. Originally I had this at three stars, but I rounded it up to four because after getting over the initial arrival issue the stay was decent.
What a gorgeous hotel! My friend told me this is where her sister and brother-in-law charge their car. I've never booked a room here, but we would meet up with our friends from Madera at this hotel since their place is too far for me to drive. Yesterday, I discovered a really cool greenhouse and a charming wine museum I had never seen before. There's no charge to enter the wine room, but you need a key card from the lobby to access it. Additionally, there's a cute, small pet park for furry friends. The hotel also features a pond filled with colorful koi fish and another pond with waterfalls. We spotted an adorable turtle just hanging out with some fake ducks. There are a couple of areas with fire pits, and there's even a rose garden. I found a spot where you can play bocce and horseshoes. The courtyard is definitely fun to explore, and the restaurant's view is fantastic. I also learned about a bar called The Lounge. I tried the food at the Kitchen for breakfast and lunch yesterday. The service was slow on both occasions. We had to wait for ten minutes because the staff member at the desk said the server would return by then. I asked if they could seat us while we waited for her break to finish, but we decided to stay anyway. Regardless, the food was excellent both times, so the restaurant kicks ass even though the service doesn't. There are many places to visit outside the hotel. The Korean Memorial is nearby, but we skipped it yesterday. Instead, we discovered a few parks with trails that offer beautiful views of the hills and the San Luis Reservoir. We also visited the Romero Overlook Visitors Center, where you can learn about the water system and the area's history. I'm sure there are more things to do in the area, but that was all we had time for during our adventure yesterday.
What a beautiful property out in the middle of CA ! Great stay for one night when returning home from long road trip.. Amazing grounds to explore , restaurant was excellent, room was very pretty, pool was great and hours so accommodating and the staff were all very kind and welcoming !
Such a beautiful place to be at peace at. All the staff were welcoming. But housekeeping staff were just marvelous and delightful. I recommend everyone to come and experience a stay at this beautiful hotel. My sons loved the pool. When I told my sons we are almost home, the youngest one said "at the hotel mom". He is so funny. Thank you again and will definitely be there soon for another stay.
I can only review the restaurant here, which we've stopped at many times. Just off I5, this hotel complex has a large array of EV chargers, so we plug in and stop for a meal. This a perfect stop for us as we drive up and down the state to visit family. The restaurant is clean, service is prompt and friendly. Only hiccup we've encountered was a Sunday morning stop. They only offer a brunch on Sundays, which we weren't interested in doing. Otherwise, this is a great pit stop!
We stop here at least twice a year while traveling! We also have FUR BABIES! First of all everyone is so so nice! (Hint, grab those fresh chocolate chip cookies at the front desk), secondly, they are so so pet friendly! Lots of places for the dogs to sniff! Lastly, everything is so comfy! Just love this place! Came back again for our return trip stop and found out they have a doggie dinner menu at the restaurant! Lots of choices for the fur babies!
Beautiful hotel Hotel Mission DeOro Amazing architecture all throughout this amazing place. Very spacious rooms (one king bed) with a very convenient patio to over look the amazing and beautiful grounds of this hotel. Fantastic workout center with sauna the pool is just perfect! With Hot tub. This hotel is just up kept immaculately. Staff is very nice and accommodating. Well they refused my late checkout request but they did upgrade me at check in, so I can't complain too much Once your here you really don't have to leave. Yes you have your quick fast food just outside the grounds but Hotel Mission DeOro has an amazing restaurant with great options and amazing service. Driving by this place hundreds of times and glad I made the decision to stay. You take help like your somewhere exotic and far away when your here. A must stay for EVERYONE looking for a cool little getaway from your hustle and bustle that's not too far from home in Monterey.

If you are ever anywhere in the area of this vast sea of farmland... stay the night here. This hotel is an absolute JEWEL of a place that you would never expect out here. I chose this overnight due to their dog friendly policy and that it had an interesting story. This by far was our best stay so far on the end of week two of a three week road trip. The property is absolutely beautiful, the staff is soooooo nice from front desk to security to the wonderful onsite restaurant. They have a gorgeous garden, pool area and lots of places to just sit and relax. They have a killer dog park onsite along with a welcome sign for pups with cookies, so these folks take dog friendly to a new level! Our room was very comfortable with all the amenities (microwave, fridge, iron/board, toiletries) and the beds were wonderful. They have a cute little gift shop with some branded items... I picked up a dog toy and bowl to remember our five star stay!
When working in this area I always stay here, the rooms are comfortable, the beds are comfortable,clean. I enjoy getting an upstairs or downstairs room that faces in to the courtyard. Day or night the courtyard is pretty. The bar is fun and a great place to eat or drink . I kinda wish they had a jukebox to play music. I have had the steak and potato dinner a few times , delicious! But I did find the kitchen to be hit and miss . The pool area is really nice , the multi sport courts are fun, the wine museum is really interesting. The front staff is friendly, the coffee is fresh , the flowers are beautiful. Security is always keeping an eye your cars and patrolling the grounds . It's a great place to stop , come check it out !
Been here for a friend's wedding and I must say it felt like this place was made for dream weddings. It was so beautiful just the perfect place to get married.
I have been gatekeeping long enough- this place is awesome! My wife and I have stayed here on multiple occasions as a "staycation" so that we can be far enough away from the teenagers , but still close enough in case of an emergency. Bonus- Hotel Mission De Oro welcomes your fur babies for a reasonable fee. Once you're here, it feels like you far away from home. This place has resort vibes with quality rooms, and all of the amenities you can ask for- including a tennis court and basketball court. I love it here. And don't get me started on the restaurant and bar that is available on the property. This restaurant serves up quality food that rivals a lot of high end restaurants. Whether you want to play pool and have a beer in the bar , or enjoy a nice dining experience in their restaurant -Hotel Mission De Oro has you covered! A true five star gem in a town that is otherwise forgettable. read more

I stayed at Hotel Mission de Oro for a weekend and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel's exterior is beautiful, and the staff was consistently attentive and friendly throughout my stay. My main concern was the convenience of certain amenities. There was only one elevator, located across the courtyard and quite a distance from my room, which made moving luggage in and out somewhat inconvenient. I also wish there were more water refill stations around the property. I often had to go to the restaurant or bar to ask for a refill. Given that the area reaches triple digit temperatures (including during my stay) having more easily accessible water stations throughout the hotel would be a very helpful improvement. Overall, it was a nice stay, but a few small changes could make the experience significantly more convenient for guests. read more
This location now offers Tesla and Rivian charging station open 24 hours . Beautiful Spanish architecture Hotel , centrally located half way mark from San Francisco/ Los Angeles . My second time here , my first visit was at their Sunday Brunch , the food selections were amazing from seafood to prime rib, poultry, fresh vegetables and lots of fresh baked pastries. this second visit was to charge my car , while we waited I decided to tour their wine cellar museum and brows their many native plants in the courtyard area. read more

Ten of us stayed in three rooms at this hotel the weekend of 9/13 - 9/15. All three rooms were different. I highly recommend the rooms next to the gardens which are much more spacious inside and with a larger patio area with more chairs. The downside is that this hotel has so many water bugs and the downstairs room was the worst for those. I shudder just thinking about them. We used the pool and hot tub a few times. Fortunately, not many others were using them at the same time; it would have been too crowded if there had been because the pool and hot tub are not very big. Overall, the ground are lush and are designed to make you forget you are in the middle of nowhere. Although very different, each of our rooms were $200 per night before taxes, fees, etc., which I thought was really expensive for the area (there is literally nothing to do in Santa Nella). There was a quincenera on Friday and a wedding on Saturday - clearly the hotel is often used for such events so maybe that's the biggest driver in the room charge. I appreciated that neither event interfered with our enjoyment of the hotel. We ate one meal at the hotel restaurant and it was fine but pricey as you'd expect for a hotel restaurant. Saturday night we got desserts to go and ate them at the fire pit while we enjoyed the live entertainment. Two separate live music was offered on Saturday night starting at 6pm which I loved; they were very good! Staff was helpful and courteous; we didn't encounter anyone rude. Rooms were clean. I *think* I would stay again but probably only in one of the larger patio rooms on the first floor - except not sure what I would do about the water bugs. Obviously they come from the open fields surrounding the hotel, I get it; they were here first. But, For this price, fumigate better so guests don't have water bugs running in the room and bathroom! read more
Visited for lunch only . Definitely a surprise in the middle of nowhere . You can see it lite from the freeway . It's beautiful and very relaxing feeling outside . Food was excellent and large portion . Dog friendly with outdoor seating . Lots of parking . There is a lounge next door as well. Sever was fast and friendly and kept checking on me. read more

Great jem convenient to hwy 5 with helpful and happy (a rarity) staff. Has been greatly improved by local owners since 2017 my last stay. Large rooms with comfy beds, closets, chairs, ironing board and wall controlled a/c, heater.. Full bloom rose garden, many fountains and coy ponds,, resort like pool.area. catchy music in restaurant with yummy food and tasty on point bar (thanks Javier). Well appointed rooms and bathrooms with indoor QUIET halls except for a few rooms with exterior entry. Added extra layer of safety were roaming, security. Didnt hear traffic at all due to huge Soundwall. Interestingly has hydroponic greenhouse growing produce used in restaurant. Plenty to discover walking the grounds. Met a family that went to the hotel just for a long holiday weekend - great idea. Plenty to do and see on the grounds. Will definitely stay again soon. read more

She made sure I got situated properly, got my room preferences noted, AND saved me money by checking whether I had AAA so she could offer me a discount! This place is a GEM! We were on our way home from vacation with 3 hours to go. I was tired and needed fuel so I pulled off in Santa Nella and I decided I didn't want to drive anymore. We got a room here at Hotel Mission De Oro. It is fabulous. The grounds are gorgeous, the room was clean and comfortable. We chose a room with a balcony, it was worth the additional $40. I had a cocktail in the lounge, it was delicious. I had already eaten, but I saw other people eating at the bar and the food looked amazing. Now I just need an excuse to come back, and next time I'm having dinner here! read more

Basically, I had higher expectations for this place. I had passed it so many times driving north to south but it's too close to where I lived to have ever stayed, until this past month. It looks so cool from the outside being that it was historic looking mission with a bell tower and they've done a lot to the place. I will say, even though it maintains it's old world charm, but it's definitely under the influence of capitalism! What did I like? Rooms were nicely appointed in that old school kind of vintage charm, a great big bathtub. It had a good gym. And the courtyard was very pretty and lush with plants and places to sit. The things that bothered me, stemmed from placing making money over hospitality and guest service. There was a giant sign that you can see from the freeway advertising EV charging. I have a Nissan leaf so I assumed after I checked in that I'd be able to go in the morning and plug my car in, however the only EV they have Tesla and Rivian - which are elite vehicles, screw the others (we know why this is right? They pay for the equipment) Secondly, my husband came in pretty late and when he checked in at one in the morning, he asked whether or not he could extend the check out past 11 AM given the lateness of his arrival. Not only was he told he was told no, they said if he stayed after 11 the hotel would continue to charge him for every minute of that time. That's absolutely ridiculous. To have zero leeway when the hotel wasn't even close to being full?! Anyway it wasn't exactly what I had expected, and the restaurant was completely overpriced and I did not have the greatest experience there - which I noted in my separate review of the restaurant read more
This hotel has beautiful grounds and has become a favorite spot for us since they opened up Superchargers last year. Pleasant staff everytime we visit their lobby and an oasis for us as we Supercharge our way through California. 5 stars Yelpers! read more
This review is long overdue. My wife and I got married here back in June. It was honestly one of the best decisions we ever made. We decided to plan the weddings ourselves but we could not have done it without the assistance of the hotel event staff. They are extremely accommodating and worked with us every step of the way. We chose the outdoor ceremony facing the waterfall and the reception was held in the Cortez hall. We still have guests telling us that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. read more

Very cool spot to get away for a weekend. The food is awesome. There is sometimes live music. The staff is always friendly and the grounds are beautiful. Grabbing a pizza and some drinks to go to the pool area is perfect. Love the courtyard rooms! read more

This place was truly a gem and a wonderful surprise! Grounds are absolutely gorgeous as is the lobby. Our balcony room was spacious. Had drinks at the bar along with an appetizer. They were great. Came back in the evening and enjoyed drinks with friends. In the AM had a nice breakfast. Was disappointed that the event we were going to wasn't at this place so we could have spent more time enjoying the place. Will definitely be back. read more
