Used Christchurch branch many times before never had a problem, However Poole Branch has been a very bad experience AVOID!! . The central reservations team booked the wrong car, wrong price, I asked for an estate car I explained I had several passengers, luggage and dogs and it must be an estate, however central reservations booked the wrong car ..smallest car ford focus. I arrived to pick up at Poole there was no booking, no estate car. I was offered another car after a delay but the boot was too small. I was issued with a contract for £298 approx for rental from Fri to Monday a.m. including £200 a refundable deposit. I was told I could use the car to drive to another branch to get an estate car. I assumed that the price I was given on the contract issued by Poole branch would be honoured as this was their reservations team and their company's mistake. I arrived at Bournemouth branch after nearly an hours journey in traffic. I spoke to a young lady who could not understand English very well, I showed her my contract and explained the car I was sold was not booked properly by their reservations team and expected her to reissue paper work and discuss what she could offer she did not, she told me not to worry when I asked her if she needed to change the contract details to update with the new car , she dismissed it and told me not to worry and gave me a Nissan Xtrail as she did not have an estate car. I took the car and assumed that the cost I was issued with a contract for was the price they were charging as nothing else was discussed, as it was Enterprises error mistake and my inconvenience loss of afternoon trying find the car I booked on a long journey. On the Monday my mother called Poole Branch to extend car hire reservation as I was ill in hospital she was quoted a total price of £31.88 per day (£18 per car hire per day plus £13 per day approx ) for insurance based on this price she was quote she extended it for 7 days. After 7 days she called to extend car hire and was told the price was not as per contract, or previous telephone quote but was much higher £54.0 per day which we had never been quoted before. Enterprise backdated the charges to the higher price that was never quoted to us and took nearly £540 off my credit card "without consent" charging the new higher price. We asked for refund as we had only agreed based on contract price given and telephone price quoted on extension ...but it was refused, we are now disputing ...but they are not honouring the price quoted or on the contract!!!!!! or refunding my card!! The area manager was supposed to call back in 2 days after I complained to head office but no call, no refund... Still chasing... worst service ever !! read more
